We stayed at the hotel with two boys (13 and 7). The location is noisy but we loved it because it was right were the fun was! Plus, we were so tired that by just closing the windows we will fall sleep immediately. We reached the hotel using Map Quest so not sure about the directions posted by the hotel. The room was big and although to take the bath you had to shower with a "hand-shower" (don't know how to call it) and seat in the bath tub, we had fun enjoying a "new way of showering" and laugh about it! We got late, like 11PM at night and an awesome young felow was waiting for us, very organized with all the instructions on how to reach the parking that we requested over e-mail when booking and with a BIG smile. Love it and we will definitely come back. We didn't have breakfast there. Just went to a cafe one block from there and had great coffee and croissants plus checking the people walking around. Great price/location relationship! Recommended.

Definitely not as represented. However, we were stupid to think that even a mid-quality room could be had at the price quoted. Carpet was wet, and staff suggested it was because a stain from a former user had to be cleaned. If we weren't so tired when we got there, we'd have cancelled and gone to another inn. Photos were NOT representative of the facility.

the one major benefit of this hotel is its location. it is a 3 minute walk from the free beach on the croisette. the hotel itself is a fairly basic place (with no elevator or help getting your bags up the stairs). the rooms are clean and good enough for sleeping in, but not much more. the bathroom had something that was not quite bath and not quite shower that made bathing inconvenient but entertaining. overall, the hotel was relatively inexpensive and well worth the minor inconveniences considering the location.

For those who don't plan on spending much time in hotel rooms when visiting a cool town like Cannes, the Azurene is your hotel. It's easy to find and in the BEST location - one block from the water, a quick walk to the historic district, clubs, great shopping and fabulous restaurants. I'd stay there again!

We pre-booked for six nights but on arrival found that the accommodation was unsatisfactory and therefore decided to leave after two nights. The location is excellent, but all other aspects not to our liking.

It is centrally and conveniently located. The only shortcoming is the absence of an elevator but fortunately the staff was very helpful and volunteered to help us to carry our luggage up the narrow and high flight of steps to our room.

My stay at the Royal hotel was great. The hotel staff speak English and are very nice and helpful. The room and the bathroom were a little small, but tolerable. I don't have any major noise or cleanliness complaints. The hotel is great to stay in if you are only planning a short stay.

The single reason for coming to this hotel is the location: 30 meters from the boardwalk! You can't get a better spot for under 100 euros. Other than that: no fan, no airconditioning, no elevator and everything in need of redecorating... thirty years ago. The room was small, the bed lumpy, the bath was the tiniest I have ever seen (a sitting-up-model). Don't bother ordering breakfast, the staff pops over to the bakery three doors down to get it. Save yourself some money and get it yourself. Parking is expensive, the hotel does have a special deal, but we didn't find out until check-out. You have to reserve a parking spot in advance! We ended up paying 25 p.d. at the public parking three streets away.

This hotel was a delightful surprise. The roooms were fresh and clean, the staff friendly and welcoming. My room N>12, tho small, had a great view over the colorful street below, with a view out to the sea (and occasional live music, free below). The owners were truly wonderful, understanding, accomodating in every way, and went out of their way to help. Delicious petit dejeuner with fresh croissant, french baguette, jams, and rich coffee. I would highlly recommend tthis hotel and would certainly stay here again.

even though I can see the beach by poping my head out of the window, it is actually not worth to stay in Cannes overall, the beach of Cannes is on renovation continueously, and it's gonna be very noisy if you stay in a place close to the beach

July 2003. Reception is on the 2nd level with rooms on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels. Our room was on the 4th level. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. The host suggested a boat excursion to St Margaurite which was a lovely idea, where we reclined on a beach by ourselves with small beautiful colored stones and no waves. The Italian Restaurant on the street level under the hotel is excellent with good prices and service, but abit noisy late at night (voices, not music) so if your room faces the street, windows need to be closed to cut the noise. We had a grand time. Room was small, the location great, we loved it. I recommend this hotel.

During our trip to France we stayed in three hotels and the Azurene Royal Hotel, was best for its location near the beach and shops and near to the centre of Cannes. We had a lovely welcome and this was the only hotel that offered to carry my heavy bag! They were extremely helpful and accomodating. The room was basic, with TV. The bathroom was very clean which is a must for me. A good budget hotel for 2 star which should not be missed.
Thankyou for this recommendation.
