HOTEL OVERVIEW

Hotel America Camerota - Venere.com hotel outside Hotel America is situated in the historic centre of a fishing village, and yet is immersed in the peace and quiet of an olive grove, in a garden of 10,000 sqm located only 400 metres from the sea.

A high standard of quality is guaranteed by the hotel. Particular attention is paid to the cuisine of the Cilento area, offering particularly tasty dishes.

The public areas of the hotel include a welcoming air conditioned dining room, a bar with dance floor, a garden with the necessary equipment for evening shows, a swimming pool, a TV room with satellite TV, and a playground for children.

The property furthermore offers a private beach which is only 800 metres away, in one of the most evocative areas of the coast, that can be reached by the hotel's shuttle.

A big problem for us was the fact that they would not allow the airconditioning system to be switched on before 8 oclockish at night and then it was switched off at around 12. The weather when we were there was extremely hot and we found it very difficult to sleep.

We found the staff at Hotel America very friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We liked the location of the hotel, there was a good sized car park and a good size swimming pool although this would not be so suitable for non-swimmers as there was no shallow end. We are both swimmers but prefer to swim in the sea wherever possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone who wished to visit this delightful part of Italy. We loved the green mountains and the choice of beaches and the clean sea. We were also impressed with Marina di Camerota itself as an unspoilt, unsophisticated small town.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the north: follow the highway A1 towards Salerno, then continue in direction Reggio Calabria and exit at Battipaglia. From there take the SS18 direction Vallo della Lucania and exit at Vallo Scalo, then follow the signs to Ascea-Palinuro-Marina di Camerota; you can also exit the SS18 at Futani-Sapri.
From the south: take the highway A1 in direction Salerno and exit at Lagonegro, then follow the indications to Sapri; after around 100 metres take the exit Sapri and follow the SS Futani-Centola in direction Palinuro-Marina di Camerota.

By train
The nearest railway station is Pisciotta. The hotel is 15 minutes from the station by bus or taxi.

By airplane
The closest international airport is Napoli Capodichino.
