Don't stay here! we made the mistake in feb 08. We checked in to discover some very dubious stains on the duvet cover, which once pulled back unveiled a plethora of black hairs and further stains. It had clearly not been cleaned in some time.I informed the member of staff on reception about this and requested a different room at which point he played dumb and suddenly spoke no english.I explained the problems to him in french then he somewhat reluctantly gave me another room key, where the bed was a little cleaner but still not upto any vague standard in which you could comfortably sleep.Partly due to the horrendous noise from the street below as the weekend fair was dismantled late into the night outside our room!! The toilets in both rooms were incredibly loud and didn't flush properly without a number of attempts,in fact we heard an elderly couple complaining theirs was leaking the next morning at breakfast.Which can hardly be called so offering merely cereal and yoghurt! we got no apology for the state of the room at any point. The entire hotel itself was run down, dirty, staff were rude and its not worth housing a dog in! I'd advise booking anywhere but here!

the rooms were shoddy. The heating was too high so we could not sleep. Also there was a fun fair outside our room. Drinks expensive. Bathroom disgusting. The carpets threadbare .
We went for a romantic evening which was the opposite.

I stopped there because i had to catch the ferry to dover the morning after. The hotel is very old and the maintainace is not at its best. Very close to the ferry boat, less than 10 mins driving. Surrounding area full of restaurants and brasserie. Private garage. Unfortunately they don't have a wireless internett connection.. The personnel is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is ok, not special.

we stayed for 1 night, the room was basic but had balcony looking over square, sadly there was a funfair set up right outside the hotel. the night we stayed they decided to pack up the fair starting at 8pm and going on till 4.30 am with hammering and banging. our rooms double glazing could not cope, so we had very little sleep. which i have to say is not really the hotels fault, but we were shattered the next day and actually cut our trip short to catch an earlier eurotunnel so that we could get home earlier to get some sleep. That aside i have to say that the girl that served us in reception, in the bar, in the garage, (yes she did everything) was very helpful, and although basic the room was comfortable, enjoyed a bottle of champagne on balcony. breakfast was enjoyable, but i reccomend that if you book the breakfast do come down early as they only put out enough for that specific number and if someone with a large appetite comes first then some of the later ones will go without.
My bill came to just over £50 for b&b for 2 people plus secure garage parking for my car. not bad at all, and if you get a room overlooking the square then life is not quite so bad
