We request and we pay for a family room for 4 persons but the two single beds are really too close to the forniture. we can't sit at desk, we can't open the wardrobe and the bathroom's door don't completly open.

The heartly welcome of the owner at the reception and the location of the hotel near the Grand Place was excellent as well as the rooms facilities and space. Next time it will be our hotel for a Brussels stay again!

My room was not particularly spacious.
I asked a matrimonial bed and instead they gave me a room with two beds
Cleaning was not particularly accurate
They made me pay for our stay a superior price to that I had booked and only after having protested they refunded me the difference .
Reach the breakfast room is very complicated!

We asked for a smoking and double room and recevied a single, very small, non-smoking one.
People at the reception were not very friendly. The soap dspenser was broken and the toilets leaking ; we mentioned it but they did not fix it. The room was also very noisy. However, the public areas and rooms are beautiful.

Our room was on the second floor and although the hotel says it has an elevator it only goes to the first floor. After that we had to climb up a narrow spirling staircase that was almost impossible to climb with a suitcase. The location is perfect, great shopping, sights and restaurants. Personally I would not stay there again as I saw some other wonderful hotels in the same general area that looked much better and when I enquired their prices were comparable.

Room and bath in poor condition.
Many items needed repair; such as, phone cord pulled out of wall(had to twist the wires to get a dial tone), no soap provided in soap containers during entire stay of 3 days, TV remote did not work(advised within the first hour that it did not work) and they made no attempt to replace during stay, stairs to bed in loft had unstable handrail, and breakfast was two pieces of bread on a plate with a wraped slice of cheese and orange juice and coffee. All 30+ places at the tables were served with the bread, cheese and OJ prior to anyone coming to breakfast. Hotel is in central location near the train station and the Grand Place(only true asset of hotel). If you can overlook the physical upkeep of the rooms then the location is a good reason to choose this hotel. We asked for a twin bed room on Venere and the owner argued that he was obligated only to give us a double bed. He reluctantly gave us a twin room after we showed him our Venere paperwork and arguing a while. Never felt that the hotel really cared if we were satisfied with our stay.

On the plus side: the hotel has wirless internat in ALL rooms (kudos to hotel mozart for offering this service!).
downsides:
1. was told that rooms to the street are the nicer rooms which was totally wrong (they are small and extremely noisy since there are a dozen restaurants with large open areas in the street (noise till 3:00 in the morning)
2. my room was extremely small (no place for a chair or desk)
2. the wall between my room and the neighbouring room was not closed (obviously the 2 rooms used to be one big room that was seperated leaving a slit between the huge window and the wall open - i heard everything my neighbour was doing
3. pricing is strange - prices are slightly higher than indicated in the brochures at the hotel and during my 2-day stay they raised the prices on a monday evening by 5 eur. i payed the old price but my bill indicated the higher rate - at my complaint i was told that the computer can't handle it otherwise.
4. breakfast consists of ONLY bread, butter, jam and a slice of fruit, orange juice and coffee/tea. no fruits, no yoghurt etc.
5. the breakfast room is only accessible via numerous winding staircases and includes a short walk over an open terrace (wonder what they do when its raining or snowing).

This is a strange hotel, it looks more like a museum...the owner is even stranger. He makes off racist jokes that go down like a bag of wet cement.
The room we had was a very weird shape and had one tiny window looking out onto a back alley way. It was extremely noisy on the Saturday night, with locals marking their arrival home in the early hours with a very loud "woo"....dont ask me why.
The one good thing about this hotel is its location, less than five minute walk to the station and situated next to the major sights and restaurant area.

Great location (a block from restaurants, chocolate shops open till midnight, main square), great decor, and we booked very last-minute for a room for 4, so did not expect a place so nice! Our reservation did have a problem in that our room only had one bed, but the staff promptly found a second room with 2 beds at no charge, so we had 2 rooms that night. Funny thing - all the room numbers start with "1" - but our room 120 was up stairs and around the corridor and up more stairs and around another corridor and so on... We packed lightly but even at that it was a long haul with the luggage. Map it out before you get there because the small map in the confirmation email will not get you there.

Good location, only a few blocks from central station, but needs better direction on how to walk to hotel from train station (two short block- in what direction?) Can't take a taxi because of blocked streets. At first we were taken aback by the look of the place - Moroccan bordello, but we had a good laugh, and it turned out to exceed our expectations.

The best thing of the hotel is the location, is incredibly near of the Grand Place and is located in a very bussy street, plenty of restaurants and nightlife, is for this reason that some rooms are not so quite; but for a young cuople or for a group of friends can be PARADISE!!!!

Great hotel. Great location very near to the Grand Place. Located on a lively little street with good inexpensive eating options. The decor is outstanding in the public areas, very vibrant. The breakfast is plenty and good and our rooms were quiet and comfortable. The only critique I have is that the shower temperature is very erratic and difficult to modulate.
