Overall our stay at the beau site hotel was very favourable. We found the reception staff extremely pleasent and helpful. The service was only marred by the non-appearence of an early morning cup of tea as ordered the night before. Tea/coffee making facilities would have made the score higher. The value for money score would have been alot higher if the exchange rate had been better.

Room smelled faintly of drains.
Bathroom fittings/decor were old and shabby.
Longer walk from the metro station than expected (and stated on the website).
Free wifi in the rooms was good (but suffered from plenty of dropped connections). Terrible arrangement for TV with a set top box that was literally balanced on top of the TV at an angle that pointed towards the ceiling meaning that the remote control only worked when I stood up. The set top box was extremely slow at changing channels.
Adequate breakfast.
The hotel isn't terrible but I've stayed in better hotels in Brussels for the same price or less and I'll be going back to one of those next time.

I received a very warm welcome and staff spoke very good english. The room was clean well presented with sufficient space. A very good location only one block back from Avenue Louise. I would stay there again.

Smelly, dirty room. Cigarette burns on the bed cover. No response when calling front desk. In need of major updates. There are many better hotels in Brussels for the same price.
Phone doesn't let guests call a toll free number. DO NOT USE THE CREDIT CARD PHONE SERVICE OFFERED. IT IS A TOTAL RIPOFF

The hotel is in the city centre about 15 minutes far by walk from the European parliament and about 30 minutes far by walk from the Central Railway Station. The nearest stop of the metro is "Louise". The hotel was clean and I was nice welcomed. A TV set with a variety of programmes in French, English, Dutch and German was in the room. The free of charge WiFi Internet was present but it was quite unstable. The offered breakfast was good but it was not a lot of things to chose. Generally I was satisfied.

This is a relatively nice budget hotel in a good location for the shopping and restaurants along Avenue Louise. If you want luxury or to be very close to the major tourist areas (Grand Place, etc.) you'll want to look elsewhere. The rooms are simple and a bit small but adequate, the breakfast is good and the staff very friendly and accomodating (we overstayed our visit by a week because we were looking for a place to live, and they were very understanding and did not increase our rate for the additional nights). My only real complaint: there was a noticeable mildew-like odor in our room (#57), though everything appeared clean and we were able to open our window to allow in some fresh air.

The lady in the reception could be a little bit more welcoming and the room could smell less cigarrete smoke. Only this !! Everything else was perfect... the room is quite big, We felt safe all the time, the breakfast was nice, the location also good. I recommend this hotel for budget travelers like me. Very good value for money.

Taxi from Train station Brussels Midi to Hotel was 8.10 EUR (December 2006). The Hotel is at the upper end of Rue de la Longue Haie on the T-shaped corner of Rue de Beau Site. This is an astonishingly quiet residential neighbourhood only about 300 m from Av. Luiza. Breakfast is an unlimited selfservice buffet of simple components . There is no bacon, eggs and fried sausage. The interior of the room was not as modern and noble as the reception area, but absolutely sufficient.

Weekend rate good value. Chaotic breakfast service on Sunday due mostly to a large number of guests attempting to fit into the rather small breakfast room at the same time. The staff, while trying their best, were somewhat overwhelmed.

Warm welcoming from the staff. Well located near city center & shopping places. Rooms fit well for one traveller's need, clean, confortable & quiet. Breakfast is included in the price. Excellent price/quality ratio (paid 50 Euros /night)
