Unit is newly renovated. We asked for a double bed but we were given an additional twin bed. Room is very clean. Toilet (very small but very clean) is separated from the shower. Location is very convenient. Walkable to all "must sees". Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hotel room was, even if perfectly clean, a bit run down: Very old wall papers, smelling oldish, some broken furniture (including the stability of the bed). Anyhow it is central and clean and well-connected by subway, therefore ok if you are looking for a simple room in central Brussels. Free wireless internet available in the hotel lobby.

We had a couple of problems on checking in. First we had booked two rooms, a triple for our three children (17, 14 & 9) and a single for us. We found the rooms to be miles away from each other, one on the ground floor and one on the third. Then we asked for hotel parking, the main reason we had booked this hotel, and was told there wasn't any as we hadn't reserved. There had been no opportunity to reserve parking on Venere.com. As it turned out, being Saturday, we only had to pay three hours on a meter outside (€5) and Sunday was free, so it was half the price and closer than reserved parking would have been anyway. And the staff were very friendly, apologetic and helpful and did their best with our English irritation, so it was hard to stay annoyed for long. Don't arrive with a car in the week without reserving parking first though. (meters are expensive, but nothing like as bad as London)
Apart from this, the breakfast was good and the area quiet but close to the centre, and was comfortable if a bit tatty, but we can't complain for the price. And Brussels itself was surprisingly lovely - people friendly, food brilliant and wonderfully charming place - don't believe ignorant stereotypes, it's not at all boring.

Good hotel, not far from city centre (~15 minute walk to Grand Place), very near Madou station. In a quiet area so good for sleeping but not good for finding restaurants.
Reception was helpful and friendly. Room was big, bathroom was small but OK. Room was clean. Rate included continental buffet breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. It was a great deal for the price.

It is the second time I go to Bruxelles and it is the second time I sleep at Sabina. It is OK. Low-frills but not too expensive. I have to say that the rooms are clean but their decoration is really sad. The breakfast is also poor. On the upside the rooms are quiet and also this time I had no problems of any kind with my staying/booking/paying. The employee was kind.
Basically, expect to find the same quality level of the average UK bed and breakfast (but without the torture of having to adapt to separate taps, thank god :-)
The location is very good: walking distance from La Grand Place, where you can find a couple of good restaurants to eat mussles (try La Moule Sacree in Rue de Chapeliers or any of the other nearby restaurants), walking distance from the EU district (Rue de la Loi) and 5 minutes away from the tube station. Also, there are a lot of unexpensive restaurants near the hotel, without having to walk downtown.

Sistemazione tranquilla, non distante dalla fermata metro Madou. Ristoranti e birrerie nella zona (non troppo centrale, ma comoda per arrivarci in pochissime fermate metro).
Colazione mediamente varia. Ambiente familiare. Ascensore per salire ai piani.

This hotel is located a bit out of the way from the main tourist areas of Brussels, but it's still very accessable, and the Grand Place and Central Station are both close enough to walk easily. The service is friendly, but limited. And, the hotel itself is desperately in need of renovations. Our 4th-floor room smelled badly of sewage and mildew most of the time, and the carpets were quite dirty. That being said, the towels, linens, and bathroom were all quite clean, and it was hard to argue with the price. I'm not sure if I'd stay at the Sabena again, but overall, it was no worse than I'd expected it to be.

This is the first time we stayed here.We had trouble finding it bc on the map we printed was all wrong. But with the real good map of Brussels it is easy to find.Just not really 5 minute walk, rather like 10min walk from the train station. The room was top floor,no air conditioning nor fan.Not recommendable to older people while young travelers who spend most of the time outside the room could survive there. The breakfast was OK but not too much to choose from,no salami or meat in general. The staff was polite and helpfull.

Low-frills and small hotel, ideal for a decent but cheap stay. My room was tiny but not uncomfortable. Employees kind and competent. No problems at all with booking, price, noise, taxi, breakfast, invoice, CC payment, whatever needed. Not too far from Grand Place (15 minutes walking distance), surroundings also ok. Ideal for a one day visit to the EU district (Schumann, Rue de la Loi, Charlemagne). Definitely good value for the price.

a very comfortable hotel only two stops on the metro from Brussels Nord Station and about 15 mins walk from the Grande Plasse. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room small but clean. Altogether a very nice place for a reasonable price.

Hotel Sabina is very conveniently located: five minutes walk from metro station Madou (seven stops from Gare de Midi), walking distance to museum area and city centre (Grand Place) and with a charming square (Place de Liberte) with open air cafés around the corner. The hotel itself, a pleasant old residential building with renovated rooms and facilities, is small but convenient, with friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms and appropriate breakfast. We found the price/quality relation very good and are ready to stay there at any time again.

We enjoyed our stay but the room was very small and the matresses not that firm but on the upside the room was very clean plus the linen was always clean crisp and starched! The location was central for sightseeing but the neighborhood was scruffy and the exterior of the hotel was not pretty - yet the interior of the hotel was charming and welcoming.
