Bremen is a Hanseatic port city in North-West Germany, situated on the Weser River, 60 km south of the Baltic Sea. Its official name is Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.

The Market Square, with the magnificent Town Hall and its stone statue of Roland, were both officially added to the UNESCO World Heritage List of Cultural Sites in 2004.

The city hosts Germany’s biggest festival, the Freimarkt (Free market), which has been celebrated since 1036 every year the last 2 weeks of October. Bremen is also renowned for the fairy tale of the Bremen town musicians, and the city's football club Werder Bremen, is one of the best in Germany.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From Bremen Airport: head for Bremen Mitte (B75). Follow the street onto Martinistraße. Turn right after half a mile/750 meters into Bürgermeister-Smidt-Straße. Follow the street for 0.3 miles/500 meters, and turn right again into Hillmannstraße and left into Birkenstraße.

By public transportation
Take tram Nr. 6 towards the city's university and get off at Herdentor. The hotel is located on the opposite side of the street.

By train
Exit the main train station. Follow the signs towards the city center. The hotel is situated about 300 meters (2 walking minutes) from the train station.
