We stayed at the Hotel for just one night and, except for the furniture and hotel style which appear a little "aged", we enjoyed or stay, but probably for longer periods we would look for other places as Re Enzo looks probably designed for business purposes instead of holidays. The only negative point was its acoustic isolation (we experienced the sounds a very hot sex night from the room next the wall !!).

The major problem I had was with the description on Venere, which indicated that wireless internet access is included, and it is not! In fact, it cost 13 Euros per day/37 Euros for 4 days to connect, a huge expense we incurred. And if you had 2 computers as we did, you had to pay for each one! The connection was mediocre on top of it. There were no ad hoc connections. We looked. My only complaint about the hotel is that front desk staff neglected to inform me that there was an air traffic controller strike the day I checked out and left for the airport. An integral part of hotel staff's role is to be apprised of events which impact their clients. This was a huge oversight and cause a lot of grief. I wasted time and money on cabs and had to find another hotel near the airport. The strikes are announced on the radio and tv and everyone else I talked to knew about it. Don't know why this is described as the old section of Bologna. The architecture was post-war. Didn't care much for the setting, though it's easy to get everywhere, which can be said of everywhere in town. Bologna is a very manageable town in terms of size, and has an excellent bus system. But next time I'd stay near the university. There is construction in progress directly across the very narrow street from the hotel, so I had to be careful about where I changed clothes if I had the tapparella open. There was also some noise from the construction, some hammering and men talking; it is very close. This was my first trip to Bologna and I'm reluctant to recommend it because I liked it so much for the lack of tourists there. Definitely one of my favorite towns in Italy - laid-back, friendly, interesting, and beautiful, and not tourist-weary like some places.

Very good value for money (for Italy that is): I 've paid 70 euro for a twin. Small shower cubicle. Parking rates high, as everywhere in Ital: 20 euro per day.

The hotel is near the bus stop and is very accomodating. I was in the room 207 and there was some noise coming from the outside and from other rooms, but all in all is a very good hotel, with high quality and low price. Breakfast is a must!! The staff is not very nice, for example if you need informations or something else is not very useful.

It really is a 3 stars hotel to come back to anytime even with the family. Just a little bit of noise because of the thick walls but over all a very nice and clean hotel. If I'll come back to Bologna I shall stay again there.

La zona è comodissima per i concerti al paladozza, provare il bar Mauro per le tigelle della proprietaria, l'albergo è un po' caro ma nel complesso buono, ci ritornerei senz'altro.

Re Enzo was our favourite hotel on our trip to Italy. Best bathroom, best breakfast. Great location just a 10 minute walk from the city centre, so nice and quiet, but still very accessible. We had a problem finding a plug adaptor, and a staff person went out of her way to look around until she found one that worked. Would highly reccomend it.

I had stayed here before and new what to expect, great staff and fabulous breakfast. About a 20 minute walk to the train station, about 10 minutes to piazza maggiore. I would highly reccommend this hotel.

the main problem was the noise level which was totally unacceptable--bins being emptied at 4am. not the fault of the hotel but a sleepless night nevertheless. The air conditioning was not working and we had to arrange with the room service to have the window wide open all day. she was very helpful
