This is a terrific hotel: the best in this price bracket that I stayed in during a month traveling in France.
Great room & decor: atmospheric & comfortable. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great breakfast in a lovely courtyard. It is very well located in the main part of town so everywhere is walkable.
A great facility in a great town.

Only the first floor has been renovated. 2nd floor and stairwells looked like a tenament building. Dirty hallways, wallpaper pulled off in places. Doors so thin they would provide no protection should there be a fire. Showers so small it is difficult to take a shower.

Charming old hotel with character within walking distance of the center of this small city! The owner of the hotel is multi-lingual (well versed in English) and more than helpful in assisting in touring, directions, train reservations, etc.. Shopping is upscale in this small city and bon bons were more than fabulous! We were close to the train station and took day trips to Sete (harbor town) and Carcassone (amazing restored medieval castle/city). The Parc de Poetes is close to the hotel, a wonderful place to relax and tour the rambling gardens, sculpture, ponds and wildlife! Perfect hotel and perfect holiday, it's easy here!

Hotel Imperator was a very good hotel. The staff was courteous and spoke Engligh. Before arriving, they responded to my email inquiries very quickly. The room was clean and the location was great. The only 'negative' was the bathroom. The shower was as big as a phone booth and the toilet was in half of the closet but this is normal for European hotels.

The room was nice but the room next door was being refurbished seemingly into a flat for some DIY relative. They continued drilling and banging until 3am when I went down to reception. To be fair it then stopped and we were given free breakfast and parking. The downstairs communal areas were also being refurbed. The Hotel is excellently situated

The size and comfort of the room is far from a 3* hotel has advertised. Some work seem to be done on first floor but we got a small, old-fashionned room on the second floor. Very poor sound isolation (TV, plumber, ...) which makes the night not very comfortable.

This was a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you pay for a cheaper room however, that is what you will get. The only real complaint that I have is regarding the shower. I am very thin and I found it difficult to shower in the extraordinarily small shower. The handle for the faucet also sticks out into the shower space and it is very easy to bump it while showering.

The Imperator is a fairly old hotel right in the centre of Beziers. It has a secure car park and a certain 'old-world' charm. The staff were all very helpful and friedly and they serve a very good continental breakfast. The bar prices are very expensive and we therefore only had one drink in what was quite a cosy bar area; that was probably why no-one else was drinking there! Overall, an excellent choice but get your drinks elswhere.

Great hotel right in the middle of Beziers.
Plenty of Cafes and restaurants right on the door step.
Hotel car park very small although the underground public car park is 100m away
(12euros for 24hrs)

Excellent position in the centre of Beziers. If the limited parking is full the hotel is close a large public carpark under the main square. The decoration is a little old fashioned and a bit tired, but apart from that a very good hotel at a reasonable price.

The only problem was that on the night of our arrival(19th july)there was a large festival in Beziers cutting off vehicular access to the hotel and making parking nearby very difficult.A little stressful after driving 650 miles. The air/con in the rooms was very welcome!-would certainly stay there again.
