Our room was confirmed but when we arrived we were sent to a different hotel up the road. Our bill was 10 euros per night more than the amount we had been confirmed. Also,the directions to find the hotel were extremely poor and need to be rewritten!

Really nice hotel,very clean,good breakfast,free WI-FI for laptop users,free parking. Stettlen is very beautiful but I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you don't have a car since Bern's old city is about a 10 min. drive.

It is quite difficult to find the hotel, as you hardly find any road-sign which indicates the way to take from Bern. Rooms are really big, although no luxury can be expected. It is only 10 minutes driving from the historic center of Bern, but you must have a car to move easily as the bus service takes place every 1 or 2 hours during day-light. Paking is free of charge, and there are enought places for all the guests.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
Bern is connected to the European motorway E4 and to the national motorway network. It is possible to reach the southern part of Switzerland or Italy via Lötschberg-Tunnel/Simplonpass or St. Bernhard tunnel. Exit at Bern-Wankdorf and drive in direction of Bolligen-Luzern. You will arrive at Bern/Stettlen in about 4 minutes.

By train
Bern offers a direct connection to the international railway network and is the only capital city in Europe accessible by the TGV, ICE and Cisalpino high speed trains.

By airplane
The Bern-Belp airport is located directly on the outskirts of the capital city and offers daily connections to most of the important European cities. The Bern-Belp airport is located 20 minutes (9 km) away from Bern's center. Bern is also located near the intercontinental airports of Zurich (connections available every 30 minutes, reachable in 74 minutes), Geneve (connections available every hour, reachable in 100 minutes) and Basel (connections available every hour, reachable in 60 minutes).
