To choose the Beijing Dream Castle really was a good decision. It is located directly on the third ring road, therefore in a quarter that represents the current Beijing. The Olympic sites and the old city limits are about 2 kilometers away, the city center about 4-5 km. That's no problem, because you will always get a taxi for around 2 euros. Because of the traffic, it's advisable to take a taxi to the second ring road and then take the subway. The hotel is, compared to others in Beijing, quiet small. The staff helped us a lot with the obvious things-to-know about town and people. Because of the reasonable price, we expected not much convenience, but the hotel was in good condition and the rooms are fair. There was no internet access or possibility of international telephone calls in the hotel, but there are many shops nearby, as well as a number of nice restaurants.
