The Forum is a small, reasonably priced hotel located just outside Monaco, on the the French side but still at a good location relative to the city and very close to the main rail station. The staff were friendly, and the rooms, although small, were comfortable. The breakfast was a bit light on variety but presented in a friendly manner. Normally we would have rated it a 7 or 8, based on the overall package. So, why a 0? Unfortunately, the hotel failed our most basic test of safety - there was no escape in case of fire. Oh yes, there were stairs from all floors leading to the fire exit, however all doors except the main floor exit were locked. And unfortunately that door adjoins the kitchen, where the staff had placed a wooden strip on the floor to hold open their own door. This wooden strip was jambed against the fire exit door making it impossible to escape. To our surprise the staff were none too interested when we pointed out the safety issue. Sadly for this reason we cannot recommend the Forum, however it is our hope that someone in the area will re-visit this hotel to see if this critical issue has been rectified. The Savvy Traveler

Hotel was great would recommended to anyone who's looking for a vacation in Monaco and doesn't want to pay a lot for the hotel (there aren't many affordable hotels in Monaco...) I requested a single room but got a double for the same price, bathroom was very spacious and clean. The only issue I had with the room was the noise level, I could hear the people next door talking on their phone. Overall though the hotel was great.

We only stayed one night but we were very pleased with the facility. We had to get a train in the morning and it was very convenient to the train station. We took the bus from the Nice airport (about 15 euros) and they dropped us off within a block of the hotel - very convenient.

Situated up a very steep hill, this hotel is about 10minutes walk (via train station lifts/escalators) to the main port area of Monaco.

Spent 1 night in this hotel. Room was clean and nice. Interior looked pretty. View from the window was poor. We expected to find glam and luxury everywhere, but it was all concentrated only behind casino... Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was good for this price (15 min to Casino and city center); but after check-out it was really hard to get from the hotel to the railway station (7 min) with my luggage as they didn't order the taxi to the hotel at all!!!

A hotel with this price/quality in Monaco is hard to find - maybe the only one. Only it is a bit far to city center regarding that Monaco is completely a mountain side. But it is a good choice if you have a car. The bathroom was extremely clean and comfortable and as big as the room itself. very good option for low-budget travellers who do not wish to stay in Hotel de Paris or Hermitrage :)

Excellent staff. The reception staff especially staff were very helpful and patient taking time to answer all your enquiries. They spoke very good English. The rooms were neat, clean and well looked after. The only problem was the location of the hotel. It was about 1-2 kilometres away from the main areas such as Le Palais, Monte Carlo and Centre Ville. But overall I had a pleasant stay there.

Excellent hotel. We walked from rail station. Up Hill! Hotel is right above the rail station exit. Great room size and staff very helpfull. Casino is within walking distance (about 10 min.)

Hotel Forum in Monaco is too expensive for the quality of facility & services provided. Hotel Athenee in Cannes is family-owned and very helpful, clean and conveniently-located. We would return there in our next trip to Cannes. Cannes Rivage in Mandelieu is brand new. That might explain for the lack of services (i.e. in-room telephone not working, etc.)
