It is not easy to find the hotel at first because provided map did not describe it in detail. So I collected detailed maps by visiting another website. The room itself is Ok, but quality of extra bed is not so good.

We enjoyed our stay. In the room there was an extensive guide to Barcelona. They kept our luggage in a safe room, as a free service after we checked out in the morning and until we needed to catch our plane in the afternoon. Towels were changed, beds made and the room cleaned already after 1 night!

I really recommend this Hotel! We've had a triple room. It had the right size - no double room with third bed. It was a true tripple room.

The Adress is wrong. The right adress is calle Maria Cubi not Mariano Cubi; this adress not exit in the navigator. The room is poor and the bath room terrible. The taps and fittings was out of order and was impossible to mixed cold and warm water.

I had a 4night stay mid of February with my son(15) and daughter (13). We very much appreciated the cordiality of the employees. We had 3 beds in two rooms+bathroom: one bedroom and a spacious livingroom with couch, bed, table and a kitchenette. (The kitchenette was not equipped with cookware, dishes and cutlery; didn't matter to us for this short stay.) The hotel restaurant was nice with few guests. For friends of seafood: Quite impressing restaurant "Botafumeiro" is just 10 minutes away on foot. Breakfast in the Hotel: multifarious and okay, whereas 15EUR seemed not to be an exceptional offer. Parking in the hotel garage was possible, as soon as one of the rare parking sites became free. 24EUR parking per day seemed to be fair market price. Another garage is available just around the corner. Surroundings: it is not a noble quarter, it's not on a beach, it's not in a park or on a famous boulevard; but it's a fine city Hotel, surrounded by likeable real life. We really had a nice stay an can recommend Mariano Cubí as basis to explore Barcelona.

Very comfortable, stylish, clean and large rooms with W-lan for free. The hotel is very charming. May be not the perfect place to stay, if you want to go to bed at 9 PM. The area around is pretty loud. Many bars and restaurants there and the insulation of windows isn´t the very best. Breakfast is perfect with a wide choice of everything. The hotel has a car garage, but it costs 24 EUR/day, which is the usual price in Barcelona even for public garages. Nevertheless I recommend using it, because parking in the streets is nearly impossible. Vice Versa the hotel is a very good wine restaurant. Also on Maria Cubi Street there´s an argentinian restaurant: "Los anos locos". It´s always full of locals and they know why. An absolute insider-tip. If you don´t like eating in restaurants at all, you can cook by yourself in the kitchen area of your room (though I´m not sure, whether every room is equipped with that). There´s even a supermarket next to the hotel (closing time not before 9 PM).

Lusso sfrenato.

It wasn't the first time in Mariano Cubì. It is a very good resort closed to underground and to several nice and very good restaurants. Otherwise there are a lot of problems for parking car. The internal garage is always full and it is very difficult to park outside the hotel.

Overall good hotel with very large and modern rooms. Unfortunately, very noisy from neighboorhood and other hotel rooms... It was very difficult to find the hotel; unfortunately too far from city centre.

The Mariano Cubi was an excellent hotel. the rooms and facilities available were second to none. the only down side was the location. Whilst the map shows the location as quite close to the city centre it was quite a trek. however, there were enough bars and good restaurants within easy reach to satisfy all tastes. personally we would use the Mariano Cubi again without hesitation, the rooms are excellent

when we booked we asked for a double bed but there were two singles. A bit disopointed, but the solved the problem by joining th etwo singles together. The hotel was pritty central for sight seeing and a two minuite walk from the underground. This hotel, i would say is for bussiness users and as we were sight seeing not what we exspected. This was not a problem. I would recomed to anone.

I booked for three nights and was unaware that breakfast was not included in the price of the room - at €14pp plus tax this was not an amusing departing gesture from the hotel. Moody staff too. Rooms are nice though, very modern.

Only problem we did not have the correct address, and found the hotel by realising it was in the general area of the train station. for some unknown reason we did not have access to the main address when booking, perhaps I did not look carefully..then I did send an email requesting clarificationm, your contact department told me how to find the address BUT it only had the number of the building and a general address. it may be good to include in your data nearest train or metro station and a map.

The hotel in general was spacious with well appointed rooms. The waiting and reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, the bed linen wasn't changes anytime over the 4 nights I stayed. The noise level was dreadful, I had a room that was directly opposite the lifts. But, my biggest gripe is with Venere, nowhere on the booking confirmation etc did I see any reference to the 7% added tax.

Overall hotel quality was good. Sound isolation between rooms could have been better. Buffet breakfast was excellent. By use of public transport (underground/metro)places of interest could be reached quite easily. However when checking out, bill format had accommodation cost listed for each day and this, combined with bar/mini-bar charges, concealed the fact that we had been overcharged by over 60 euros compared to the price confirmed by Venere.

The hotel was very good value for money and was situated close to a tube station making it handy to get round Barcelona. The room was very spacious and I would recommend it. Very good value for money.

Although this hotel offers value for money in relation to the rooms I should point out that the quality of service we received was extremely poor. The staff on the front desk were extremely unfriendly and did not even extend to us a welcome on arrival, or a simple "thank you for your visit" on our departure. If you are looking for a friendly enviroment you would be better advised to visit a hostel.

All in all a nice hotel with plenty of space. A bit of a drag to get into town if you are walking. Reasonably priced though which more than makes up for the distance, and there are a few nice bars on the way up from the centre as well if you want to break up the walk.

7.47.4

AKIRA SATO

The hotel is an "Apartment Hotel". I thought all the rooms have thier kitchens, but my prospect was wrong. Actually I brought my baby along with us, and a kitchen was indespensable to make his food. I believe the hotel should tell me that all the rooms do NOT have kitchens available. And the room we satyed was rather narrow for a family.

Fortunately, I was working weekdays and therefore had to leave about 8am - but the poor unfortunates that were on holiday were rudely awakened on the dot of 8am by roadworks right outside. The staff were very apologetic but they cant do anything. It's a great place to stay but avoid weekdays if you want a sleep-in until the roadworks hve finished.
