We spent 2 nights in the Hotel Ayre Caspe in April and found it to be very good value for money and were very pleased with our choice. It is in a quiet area, only 15 mins walk from Sagrada Familia and within easy walking distance to the centre. There was a metro stop close by but we didn't use it - we walked everywhere. We didn't eat at the hotel but found a great lively little patisserie/cafe for breakfast just round the corner on C. del Consell de Cent.
The room was spacious and very clean - the bed was huge and v. comfortable. The free water in the mini bar was a nice touch, although that was all there was - no other drinks or nibbles available. It didn't bother us but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Do your restaurant research before you go because we chose badly and didn't have very good food while we were there (apart from breakfast!) Don't miss the Boqueria market just off La Rambla - it's a feast for the eyes. Other places not to miss are Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Palau de la Musica (need to book in advance), La Pedrera, Parc de la Ciutadella (good for a picnic).

We enjoyed our stay at Ayre Hotel Caspe. The desk staff spoke excellent English and were helpful and accommodating. The room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable with a large modern bathroom. The only drawback is that the hotel is in a residential area a bit away from the city center. There is a metro stop nearby and the Barcelona metro is easy to use. Still, I think next time I would prefer to stay closer to the Gothic Quarter.

A very clean modern hotel, room was very well laid out, free water in minibar replenished daily.
We chose to eat out for breakfast as there were lots of small cafes and bars within easy reach, we used "Bica Bica" in c/Caspe a couple of times for cheap evening snacks and found the food and service good.
We took the Barcelona Tourist bus on the first day and did their Blue, Red and Green routes, this gave us a good overview of the possibilities.
We loved the waterfront and on the last of our 4 days had an excellent leisurely lunch with wine overlooking the yachts for less than 70 euros for the two of us at
Restaurant Emperador on the ground floor of Palau de Mar.
We are going back ........

Very nice hotel - Clean, quiet and with spacious rooms. Location is excellent especially if travelling from Girona airport. The bus from Girona stops at the Northern station in Barcelona which is about 2 minutes from this hotel (max). Also it is an easy walk from the hotel right into the centre of Barcelona - walk out of the hotel, turn right and walk for 10 to 15 mins and you hit Placa de Catalunya.
Would definitely stay here again especially if travelling from Girona airport.

The hotel is a beautiful, new and modern structure. Its Management should focus more on keeping the rooms very tidy from one guest to another. They should be cleaned thoroughly each time and not just more or less superficilally. Cleanliness 'behind the corners'is a must should they want to keep their hotel the pleasant place we experienced. No further remarks. We highly recommend it still.

Hotel was excellent value for money at just over £70 per night. Very smart public areas with impressive ceiling scuplture.
Located midway between Sagrada Familia & Barric Gotic / Las Ramblas areas, each approx 10 - 15 minute walk. Arc de Triomf metro 5 mins walk.
Rooms not huge but not too bad. Modern, well appointed bathroom with two showers - one over bath. Only complaint was a slight musty smell in room but not a major problem.
All in all an excellent value mid-range design hotel in a decent location.

The hotel is nice and clean, however I can't say that the quitness of the rooms depends on the thickness of the wall instead it was due the respectful people staying on our floor.
As for the location, you can use the metro arc de triompf but exit to napoles. Then cross the street and walk directly and cross 2 more traffic lights, after the second one, you will see the hotel on the right side.
If you walk to the gran via street from the hotel, you can easily access to passeig de gracia. from there you can easily walk to place catalunya or la rambla(where you can eat decent pizza). As for the shopping, most of the stores are located near to passeig de gracia. So the location of the hotel is very promising for day and night. Hope you'll enjoy your stay as much as me and my friends did.

This was the first time we had stayed at the Hotel Ayre, it was exactly as it was on the internet, clean and very modern looking. We did not use many of the facilities availabe but they all looked as discribed on the internet. Although it is a walk away from the Placa de Catalunya it never took us more then 15 minutes, and it was a good excuse to stop in at the local bars and have a drink! Very well placed for Gaudi's Church and Park which were both within walking distance. Highly recommended for couples who like to stroll and enjoy meeting the locals.

The Hotel Ayre Caspe was the base for a very spontaneous weekend in Barcelona with my partner. We chose it because of a combination of high customer ratings and the absolute bargain price that Venere was offering for the two nights. The hotel is very modern and the reception area is extremely business-like, but that shouldn't put anyone off. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. We found the location just a little further out from the centre than we'd have liked (though still walkable if one was so inclined!), but there were a number of nearby Metro stations to counter that. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to provide us with nearby restaurant recommendations when asked.

Breakfast should be included in price of room and not an optional extra at €14,00 !!!!! Apart from this, had a great stay! Staff extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful!
A big "Thank You" to all the hotel staff!
Best Wishes.

The rooms are clean and quite spacious. But feel that the designs are too metallic and cold. Overall the stay is comfortable but the price is on the high side as the hotel is quite far away from the city centre.

The restaurant does not work!!! Room servis can provide you only by sandwiches and only till 23-00( Location is grate, 3 metro stations in 3 different directions, evry in apr. 5-7min. walk. Away from the noisy city center, if you don`t feel like walking you can definitely use taxi(5-7eur. to get to the center)The property in general is good just to sleep in..

The Hotel was well maintained with friendly and helpful staff and there was a maid service throughout the weekend .Rooms were spacious and well furnished .
If your looking for lively area then this is not the place ,although its only a 10-15 min walk to the city centre and 5 mins to the nearest metro.

Cold impersonnel rooms. I was sneered at because I wanted a bucket of ICE which is something you find at any hotel in the states (and after all, isn't that your job?) First room we were place into had no window. I want to pay top dollar for a cube.
I was challenged twice by the same individual as to why I was in the hotel lobby.

We had to modify our date of arrival, the first booking was made over one month before we arrived and the price quoted was great, but when we call to modify our dates of arrival, they had us cancelled the first reservation and rebook, then charged us 100 Euros more per night. That was unfair and excessive.
Beside that the Hotel was great, some of the staff friendly, some of them not really pleasant. Breakfast was extremely expensive, but good.
Overall very nice !

The hotel and the room were very nice and we even were given a room at 10.00 am when arriving on Friday morning for 3 days. Everything was fine except the air conditioning that was defficient and never able to give any cool air. We told the reception soon after but nothing was apparently done as the problem remained during the whole stay. Otherwise a nice hotel to recommend assuming all rooms are not having the same problem.

The hotel - its name FIESTA HOTEL CASPE, actually - a bit pricy [no breakfast included in the price!!!]... but great location. The staff were very friendly and spoke English.
Sagrada Familia quite close - 15 min walk!, ca 20 minutes to Catalunya Plaza and La Rambla. Not far from Passeig de Gracia [Gaudi's Casa Milo and Casa Batllo] Avinguda Diagonal and other famous streets of Barcelona. If you like walking - which is great because then you can admire all those beautiful buildings of Barcelona on almost every street -it will take you about half an hour to walk down to the old town, Barri Gotic, its Cathedral, and all other interesting places of Ciutat Vella. From Arc de Triomf [metro station, 5-10 minute-walk] you can get anywhere you want to in Barcelona. We loved our stay there and would like to visit - why not stay in the same hotel? - again. Four days is not enough to see Barcelona!

We enjoyed our 3-night stay. The hotel is conveniently located to the main tourist attractions in central Barcelona. The hotel is a very good 4 star property at a reasonable price. The staff is very helpful regarding local sightseeing options. We appreciated being able to check in at 10:00 in the morning after an overnight flight from the USA. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The space was certainly ample. The bathroom was more than adequate. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. There is a bakery around the corner from the hotel that proved to be a good, economical place to have breakfast.

This was our first time in Barcelona. I can say we enjoyed our 2 nights stay in this hotel. It is a modern building, everything looks like new, the room was nice decorated and clean. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. We had a small incident with the staff, because when we checked in, they gave us first the key of an already occupied room. But the problem was solved in short time.

I would really recommend Hotel Ayre Caspe in Barcelona! It was just enough out of the immediate centre of Barcelona for it to be quieter, but close enough to walk or metro to town or to the beach. The rooms are modern and spacious and the staff were really helpful.

It was a modern design hotel. I like that they had a jacuzzi and a sauna. The metro isn't that close but it is still walking distance. For the price we paid, they should provide free computer use (they had wifi included in the price but we didn't have a laptop with us). We stayed at Hotel Confortel Auditori. for 5 nights....it was cheaper and they offered a free minibar (stocked and refilled daily with 2 water bottles, 2 coke bottles, 2 beer, and 2 juice) and two computers to use in the lobby, free of charge. They are only a block away from each other. Overall, it wasn't a terrible place; in fact it was very nice but I would rather spend a little less and stay somewhere that has more to offer. '

This modern hotel is located in a typical street of L'Eixample quarter, in a 5 minutes walking distance from Ciutadella park and ten minutes far from the marvellous Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. Tourists can visit and easily reach other incredible buildings of the genious, as Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, because the hotel is very well connected with the rest of the city by underground, train and bus.
