The rooms, particularly bathroom, were lovely. My main complaint is that they all open out onto the main atrium, which means all the bar noise can be heard from the rooms.
Otherwise, good location, friendly staff and nice bar.

Really great atmosphere in bar / lounge area as soon as you walk in. Fantastic breakfast buffet but not cheap.
Only problems were being given twin beds instead of a double and being given a very odd shaped room that had a long corridor from door to bed, and too much furniture packed in! Bathroom was large and luxurious, so overall made up for size of room. Would definitely stay at Pulitzer again but would specify not a corner room!!

Excellent city centre location.
Hotel not as fabulous as some reviews would have you believe. The 3* hotel we stayed in the previous week (Apsis Splendid) was just as good and equally well located - but cheaper!
Didn't particularly get an amazing welcome and rooms were quite noisy.
Can't fault the location though.

My friend and I went on a shopping trip to Barcelona, and the hotel could not have been better placed for that, really central and close to all transport links, also within walking distance of most of the main shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would stay there again when in the city. the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms, although compact, were clean and well furnished.

We loved this hotel, but for a bit more I would suggest getting a suite. We got a the smallest room and it was beautiful, but the plasma screen tv hanging from the wall was in the walk way opposite our bed. For the money, I'd say do stay here for sure!

This was an excellent hotel! One of the best I have ever stayed in. Would definitely go back and absolutely recommend this to friends.
The reception staff were so very helpful. Alex recommended and booked lovely restaurants for us.
The only very minor complaint was the noise from the alarm in the lifts - the button is at an ideal height to be leaned on (and therefore was fairly often!), and the noise of the alarm is very loud. Move the position of these emergency buttons so that they are not set off by accident and you have a great hotel!
Tried the restaurant in the hotel and was one of the best meals of the holiday. If you stay here, you must go up to the terrace bar on the roof for a pre/post dinner drink!

stayed 3 nights at the Pulitzer. Ideally located just off Catalunya square and Rambla in relatively quiet side street with metro stop opposite. Easy access to all Barcelona's sights and transport. Staff couldn't have been more welcomimg and helpful - upgraded room offered on check-in. Didn't eat in hotel although friends had room service and said it was great and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Hotel location is fantastic. What a great city
even got its own beach. The only hitch with the rooms was the sound-proofing was poor. But location and staff more than made up for it.I would go again.

A nice and quiet located hote in Barcelona with smiling and helpful staff. A highly recommendable lobbybar where it is easy to relax after seeing the city. You need not go to far to get a a good meal in the city. Just pop in to the hotel restaurant which will surely surprice you. May be one of the best in Barcelona? Start with a fois gras along with a good wine and you are on.
We will recommend Pulitzer to anyone who wants a good stay in Barcelona.

This hotel was in a great (safe) location, close to everything, and was "trendily" decorated. Trying to figure out how to correctly work the lights/power on and off was also fun. We also had a small balcony that was great and big enough to pull a big chair out onto it. Although, this place was slightly more expensive then I wanted to book (but near Las Rambles dictates that), it was worth it. We booked 8 hotels thru venere.com and all of them turned out as were advertised.

This hotel was brilliant! My girlfriend and I were very impressed with the staff, location and service. The price of this hotel was brilliant. We are planning to go back to Barcelona this year and we are definately going to stay at the Pulitzer again! The only 1 bad point was that we could hear the bar sometimes when we had gone to bed but we were only on the first floor and it didn't keep us awake. The staff were excellent, all spoke good english and were very helpful. The location was brilliant, just off La Rambla so easy to get to but not too noisy. The room although on the small side was fine for the both of us, plenty of wardrobe space and the cases fit under the bed. We were impressed with the complimentary goods, eg shower gel, soaps and even slippers! The breakfast was not included with the room but we only had it one day as we went exploring on other days for food but it was a buffett style and eat till you burst type of thing...which you probably had to do as it was £10 each. A great hotel and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone!
