Nice, clean hotel in a good location close to the beach and centre of the city with pleasant and helpful staff. The room was compact, but not cramped. Compact describes the hotel in general, as each floor is a long corridor with rooms off. The room was a little pricey but this is inevitable for a hotel in Barcelona in summer.

Everything was to my satisfaction. The rooms are small, but very clean and well furnished. The bathroom was spotless. Free of charge WLAN connection and the prices for the mini bar beverages are decent. The breakfast was good.

My first visit to Barcelona, but not my last! Quite near the hotel: The church Santa Maria del Mar and the Picasso Museum.

The room was quite small, and quite dark until we learned how to operate the shades. The elevator barely held my wife and I and our luggage. The fixtures in the bathroom were clean and modern. The TV picture was very good, but only CNN and National Geographic had English. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and gave us a wide selection. Staff was helpful. We enjoyed our two-day stay but wished the May weather had been more sunny. I would recommend the Park Hotel to my friends. Thank you.

It is a very nice hotel at the border of the huge pedestrian area with very nice old houses, lovely shops, bars and restaurants.

Apart from some extemely badly behaved (English speaking) children who were running around on our floor and above our room late at night and kept us awake for hours on Saturday night we enjoyed an excellent stay at Park. Then some very early departing Danes on Sunday morning). The front desk and restuarant staff spoke excellent English and were very polite and helpful. The Park is well located for the train station from the Airport (transfers are currently FREE due to works at Airport end)and everything is within walking distance. Very nice flat panel TV's with BBC World news. Our friend travelling on her own had a very good single room with a nice balcony.

We had a warm welcome when we arrived at the Park Hotel the reception satff were friendly, helpful & efficient. Our room was clean & comfortable, the view was onto a side street. The room had a mini bar & plasma tv,the cupboard door where the mini bar was kept was broken, but all in all the room was fine. The food for breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice & again friendly ,helpful staff. The position of the hotel is excellent as it is close to the metro,Las Ramblas is only a 10 min walk away as is the beach. The train station is just across the road & the Park Cituadella is lovely & just 2mins walk.We found it a great place to stay as you can get to all attractions & nightlife in minutes.A good value hotel we would not hesitate to return to or recommend to others. Thanks for a great time. The hotel caters for tourists & business people too.Sadly the dining room restraunt was only open for breakfast & not at night maybe that was because it was early in the season.

We stayed at the Park Hotel for 3 nights having travelled by train from Valencia. The hotel is directly opposite the Estacio de Franca rail station - accessible directly by train from Sant station (not by Metro as described on the hotel's web page). The position is ideal. We did not find the 'comfortable lounge' described. The bedroom was small, the bath only 4 feet long and a couple of worryingly unstable electrical points in the bathroom (Room 528).The 'air-conditioning' delivered only hot air and the hotel staff were unable to change this for us, consequently we had a very hot bedroom. The included breakfast was excellent, as was the breakfast room service. It was the most expensive of three hotels stayed at during our visit to Spain - Alicante, Valencia and Barcelona. This probably reflecting the price of hotels in Barcelona.

Not my first stay at this hotel. Ideally situated. Only negative is the size of the room. But definitely on top of list in Barcelona

Friendly, modern and very tasteful interiors, very quiet rooms towards back street. Only problem is poor parking conditions: Hard to find a place to put a hired car at the end of the day. Walking distance to harbour area, old city, Rambla etc.

I had a single room on the top floor. It had a balcony and a large bathroom. Not all the rooms have balconies. Staff was helpful. The hotel is directly across the street from Estacio Franca (very convenient for the airport train). Breakfast was pretty good. Overall, this was good value for money (in Barcelona).

Very central location, nicely refurbished, ideal for exploring the city centre. Hotel quite pleasant, room size seemed to vary, rooms very clean and quiet if you closed the windows. Drains in the streets around the hotel are a bit smelly.

A very good hotel! Room was clean, nice, spacious, with new furniture and bathroom accessories. Stuff was very nice, but never too forward. A really good breakfast, included in the price of the room, offering many different fresh and quality products. We were there with my girlfriend for four days, and we felt totally welcome and cozy - like at home. I would recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for a pleasant stay at reasonable price. It is situated in one of the main and easy to find boulevards, just few hundred meters from the port - in my opinion this is much better location than the hotels around La Rambla, if you want some peace, that is. There is a Tourist-bus stop just a few meters away. Anyway, we walked throughout Barcelona on foot – if you’re under 50, there’s no hotel in the central area that is too far away from something. The only drawback I can mention is that, when we came, and as advertised on the site, the Wireless internet access was present in the property, but there was no internet "in the air". At reception they told us that it was the temporary problem, and that the whole region was experiencing difficulties, which sounded a little strange, since I connected without any problems to another wireless network, obviously from one of the buildings nearby. But, after all, whoever needs internet, when on vacation? After this, we went for five days to Madrid, just to find that 30% more expensive hotel offers worse rooms and much lousier service. Thanks to the stuff of Park hotel, they made our beautiful stay in Barcelona even more pleasant.

Great hotel, super room and friendly staff. Breakfast good. Really good location which was very close to the Gothic area and main station. Just wish they didn't leave the lights and air conditioning on when we're out all day.

Excellent public transport from Airport by RENFE line 10 (Estacion Franca, 30 min, 2,50 EUR); location in foot distance from the old barrios. Truely small but well designed modern single room with an excellent low noise air condition. All appliances are new and work 100%. Nice breakfast buffet. I will take this hotel as reference for my Barcelona trips.

This was marvalous, near the train station which we never heard, near the zoo, museums, a short walk to La Rambla, the beach and port. The room was spacious with a balcony. We took a smoking room but here was no heavy smell of smoke. The room was clean, had a couch and desk and two double beds comfortable and cozy. Biggest, most comfortable beds of our trip. Two quick elevators.Would definately stay there again. Didn't use many services or the breakfast. Inexpensive coffee in the little bar.

It's a very nice and friendly hotel. A beautiful building designed in the 60's by a very well known and good architect. A lovely place to stay very close to the gothic sector. I've had a very quiet room at the 7th floor with a beautiful view over the roofs of Barcelona. A nice place to stay definitively

Since I read that many people had a noisy room, I asked a quiet room, but it was very noisy in the morning because of the traffic in the street.

The Park Hotel ended up being one of the most wonderful surprises about my trip to Spain. Unknowingly it was a great location. Right across the street from the train terminal and in a quaint neighborhood. There were all these wonderful restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance. It was very central. I would highly recomend it.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in March 07. At approx EUR112 per night including breakfast this hotel was fantastic value. Excellent location, on the edge of El Born, many restaurants and bars close by. Modern, recently decorated rooms. Only downside was the rooms did not keep out the noise very well. We requested a quiet room and I think we got one of the quietest rooms, at the back of the hotel, but still woken by noise of staff etc at 5am. Bring earplugs.

This is a very good hotel. Situated next to the fabulous El Born area and short walk to beaches and Gothic Quarter. Staff were entirely coureous and helpful. And the rooms, whilst not large are plenty big enough for short stays. It has a very funky bar and classy dining area. I would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is 5 mins from a metro stop. This hotel is not close to the airport bus drop off point and you have to change lines and do a lot of steps to get to the stop for your hotel- a consideration with children or solo travellers/luggage. Or just take a cab.The hotel is very close to the marina and fine dining places.lots of eating near hotel - argentinian/Goan/pasta. Hotel foyer v.small but staff helpful.Breakfast only. food good.Hotel on busy main road/traffic. Rooms romantic/ beautiful, brown and cream modern and smart..bathrooms ace.15 mins walk to centre and 10 mins to the concert hall. This is a relaxing hotel.

The Park Hotel has very modern rooms, comfortable beds, and a great breakfast. My only real complaint was the noise level. The walls are thin and even on the fourth floor you can hear locals partying at 3am as if they're right outside your door. I'm not normally a light sleeper and had been in Barcelona for a few days and acclimated to the time change from California. I just did not sleep well here. Great location though, within walking distance to the beach, great shopping, some cool restaurants and pubs, and the Picasso Museum.

A great location in a great city. The surrounding area is ultra-cool and not too touristy, lots of great clothing shops and good bars and restaurants. Well-placed for exploring all Barcelona, including the beach. Rooms perfectly comfortable and equipped with all that you need, although not large. Baths are definitely too small. The hotel itself is an Art Deco mini-masterpiecce - use the stairs not the lift for full effect. I would return.

Thanks for a very enjoyable stay in this small but friendly hotel. The rooms were very clean and very well appointed, although a bit on the small side. The location of the hotel close to the station, the harbour and a few minutes walk from the Ramblas was perfect. I was a little worried in advance that being so close to the station would be a problem - but am glad to say it wasn't a problem at all. My room overlooked a side alley which was quiet at night, but interesting to watch during the day! My only small quibble was that Reception desk was always very busy. Having said that I had a great break and was very very happy with the Hotel. I will certainly consider the same hotel when I go back to Barcelona
