First time in Barcelona. Realy good hotel. close to the centre and the sea. Friendliness and competance of employees...More over we realy appreciated facilities (Sauna and Jacuzzi) when you are back from a long day of walk in the city !

There are a lot of other hotels that offer much better stay for the same price.
The location is not the best. Even if there is a metro station right around the corner and it is pretty close to the center of the city (ramblas and stuff), the hotel is located in a zone where you may feel insecure the whole time outside of the hotel. I even saw a very suspicious guy trying to steal the watch of a tourist at the very front of the hotel!! That is of course not at all the hotel's fault, but taking this into account, prices are quite high. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, however, we asked for a queen or king size bed and they gave us two separate, pretty uncomfortable beds.
I would not say the hotel was completely clean, and there is humidity smell in most parts of it.
In any case, this should be a hotel for people traveling on a budget. If you wish for a comfortable place with nice surroundings and a feeling of security, try something else.

The hotel is based in a good area because you are close to where you really want to be. Its quite entertaining walking from the hotel, because theres so much to see, from the sex street where all the girls wait for a man!!, to gym window which is used for many many things (as we saw) and the shops which cell phone after phone!. The hotel did meet my expectations, with free internet, a radio while you surf and a coffee for free too. The sauna etc.. can be used once for free, but in Barcelona theres no time to be using that kind of facility it looked nice though.
The room was small but everything we needed. There is no air con at all, so what ever you do dont even put it on cause it blows hot air (great in the cold weather)!!! The bath is tiny!!! theres no need for it, but the shower is good enough and all you need.
If you tend to sleep with the window open then your are up for a loud night, with sirens and girls shouting at 4.00am, I would of chose to sleep with the window closed but it was just so warm!! But its holiday and at 4.00am i woke up next to my boy frind so all is good!!
I would probs choose another hotel in i retuned to barcelona, but overall nice hotel!

pretty disappointing for a 4 stars hotel...room very small very different from the one in the photo....no air conditioning in the room...
noisy cleaning lady at 8 am in the morning in the corridor and entering the cleaning room next to room...
no bar actually there but always closed..
breakfast at 15 euros ..ridicolous....
bed very unconfortable and cheap..
all up a 4 stars with the standards of a 2 stars...

We stayed for a weekend, the room was at the back of the hotel so it was quite.I was under the impression when I booked the room it was a double bed but it was a twin room :( . The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk from Las Ramblas, We would of prefered to be closer to the action pubs/shops etc. The Hotel is on one of the main roads so Taxi's know where you are going. The hotel bar didn't open in the evening so if your out shopping all day and come back looking for a chill out drink you'll have to go else where.
I think the map provided when you recieve you confirmation needs to be more detailed.
Over all we were happen with the hotel.

The staff at Hotel Apsis Millenni is very discreet. They will not bother you if you don't ask them anything. They are very helpfull when you ask for information.
In Front of the hotel there's a little "Granja" where in the morning you can have breakfast. It is not expensive and the locals tend to have their breakfast there as well.
We had a room with a view on the Ronda Sant Pau. The consequence was that we always heard the traffic on the background. Maybe if we had a room on the back this would be no problem...
The Hotel is very close to the metrostation Paralel which is very convenient for getting around in Barcelona.

Our stay in Barcelona was flawed from the get go. All of our luggage was lost at the airport, flying from Rome to Barcelona. The hotel staff was unreliable and unwilling to remain on hold in discussion with the airport. We went back to the airport to no avail on our own time (2nd day in Spain) to try and get more information about our luggage. In addition, I reserved a room online through Venere and the room that we stayed in was unlike the one represented on the page. I was under the impression we were staying in a room more spacious than the one we were assigned. I inquired with the hotel staff and I was met with a stern face and an unrelenting attitude. Much to our displeasure, our stay at Apsis was not up to par for a four star hotel. I cannot stand paying for a service that is not what I had requested. .. especially if it does not come close to what we had anticipated and paid for.

We stayed in Barcelona for 5 days and found the Apsis Milenni to be an excellent hotel. The location is brilliant, close to the metro and easy walking distance to La Ramblas, Gothic Quarter and Port Vell. There are lots of restaurants close by and the room was very nice.

Clean quiet, fairly central hotel with helpful staff but rather rough neighborhood at night. Area smelt of stale wastewater, even indoors in cellar /business centre. Room air conditioning was set far too cold - had to turn off fan completely to increase heat to comfort level for sleep. Breakfast too expensive.

Elegant hotel. Great service by English speaking staff. The breakfast room is not very spaceous, which makes it quite cosy. Good breakfast.
One the negative side is the location. Not too central and on the "wrong side" of Las Ramblas (avoid the narrow side streets at night).

The price/quality ratio of the hotel was very good. Excellent location near to Metro stop and walking distance to Las Ramblas and Barri Gothic. Sauna/jacuzzi was nice, although the free entrance included in the room price was not offered to us at the reception. Our room facing the street was quite noisy. The hotel and rooms were clean and nice. We did not have breakfast at the hotel since it was not included in the price and 15 e sounded a bit pricey for a breakfast.
I travelled with my sister, we booked for a double room and afterwards I made a phone call requesting two separate beds, which were offered but when we arrived it was a double bed after all. It did not matter for us and we did not ask to change the room but there seemed to be an information gap somewhere.

The hotel receptionists were very welcoming and competent. Our single rooms were replaced with double ones on the same price. The hotel is located in a perfect walking distance from the harbor and Las Ramblas. The only remark I have is about the cleaning lady who kept using the vacuum cleaner all wee hours of the night (5-6am). But Barcelona is such a fascinating city tourists barely go to bed :)) I will definitely stay again there when I have the chance.

We had a perfect stay at this hotel - it's excellently located, close to the Ramblas, to the metro and to restaurants and shops. The hotel quality is very pleasing, nice rooms, modern and beautiful bathrooms, free internet access. We'd definitely stay there again and again and again. Good bargain if you book it a little in advance via venere.com!

Very nice and modern Hotel located just 5-7 minutes walk from Las Ramblas. Some may say the walk from the hotel to Las Ramblas is a little sketchy, and I would agree somewhat. During the day the street can be empty and have a few shady characters strolling about. However once its close to night the street fills and the area becomes more safe and comfortable as Cops often stroll around. Do not let this deter you from staying at this hotel. Great location unbothered by the noise of Las Ramblas as well as amazing facilities. Perfect for those who don't need to be up all night but still want to go out and party and be close to the action.

The hotel was extremely clean and tidy, location was ideal for us as we enjoy walking. Watch out for the taxi fare though getting to the hotel it cost 19euros but returning to airport 28euros.
The only down side for the hotel was that the sauna and jaccuzi facilities were not working.
Otherwise I would recommend this hotel and would certainly return there if I was to visit Barcelona again.

Evening reception staff very helpful in recommending and booking restaurants. Because Barcelona won the World Cup whilst we were there it was very noisy at night, I'm sure it would be quieter if there we're no celebrations in process! Overall a very good hotel and great value for money.

Hotel was very modern and was excellent value for money. However the hotel is located in an area which is being modernised and you are advised to stick to the main roads as opposed to using the nearby side streets.

Hotels close to La Ramblas were difficult to find at short notice. Location was pretty good. Not really central but convenient enough - about 15 mins walk to Catalunya Sq and 10 mins to La Ramblas. Hotel was nice and quite new, but the single rooms were sooo tiny. Hotel was going charge 170EUR instead of 90EUR per night that was quoted but that got sorted out. Front counter staff were friendly and helpful. Not much in way of cafes/tapas etc nearby but only 10mins to Ramblas. Definitely recommend Barcelona - fantastic city.

We had a great 3-day stay at Apsis Millenni, and then returned again for a night at the end of our "Tour de Catalanya" for our last night in Barcelona. The hotel is nicely decorated, the staff is friendly and the service was good. We didn't relly regret the fact that there is no restaurant, as there are so many good restaurants in around the city. The hotel is located a bit off the touristic centre (La Rambla), but it is only a 10 minute walk to the marina and sea front, which in our opinion is the nicest part of Barcelona. I would recommend Millenni for a romantic mini-break in Barcelona!

In general we had a nice stay but there were a few times where service could have been better. One day we had no towels neither clean nor dirty. Also only one channel on the TV was working and the reception was not very helpful when we called their attention to the problem. However, rooms are nice.

Fantastic from the moment we entered the hotel entrance. Lovely clean spacious rooms with mini-bar and good sized tv. Lovely bathroom with an amazing shower. The staff were top class. I have stayed in many european cities in many hotels booked through venere.com and this must rate as probably the best yet. I could not fault it at all. Huge comfortable beds, lovely pillows, slept like a log. We didn't go for breakfast so I can't comment on that (seemed quite expensive at 12 euro each). We didn't use many of the facilities as we only had a 2 night stay but other guests praised them. The hotel staff booked our trips and taxi's for us and provided maps and information. Location was great - we did wonder if it was a little far out but it's only 10 minutes walk to La Ramblas. The Metro is just around the corner to the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. We had excellent value for money booking this room. It's definitely a quality hotel. I will rebook with this hotel next time I visit Barcelona .

Excellent hotel and good facilities. Granted its not in the nicest area, but no worse than other areas I saw in Barcelona (the city disappointed me somewhat). hotel is only a ten minute stroll down a nice main road to the harbour, which is beautiful. Bar could be better at the Milleni, but there is a superb little bar across the road. overall an enjoyable stay!

Our overall stay was excellent! After reading the comments at venere, we were not surprised to know that the hotel was not located in a very nice area. Therefore, we knew what we were booking, and that's exactly what we got. Only problem was when using the sauna and jacuzzi: we needed to heat and fill them up ourselves, so we lost time doing that. Otherwise, the service was great!

We had a very pleasant stay at Apsis millenni, we were there for about 6 days and all the staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we asked of them, eg excursions, room service, telephone number, taxis and an iron. I liked the fact that it was about a 10-15 minute walk from La Rambla. The only comment I would make is that the bar closes at 9pm and some nights we would have liked to just stay in the hotel but there is a bar across the street which stayed open until about 1.30am and the mini bar in our room was not very expensive. I also made them aware before I went that it was my boyfriends 30th birthday and there was a bottle of champagne in our room the night we arrived. Very nice - would definately recommend this hotel.
