The welcome /reception was very positive but he food was of a poor standard and the wine list over-priced. Down the street it was possible to find better value to eat .
The rooms were good and large with good sized bathroom which was well-equiped. There is no real public area no bar nowhere where one can sit.

Friendly and excellent quality rooms. Had a little difficulty checking in late but did not spoil the experience. The rooms at the front are super and the car park at the rear is large and makes it easy to uunload and park. Would stay again en route to the South.

Great hotel in the heart of Avallon, which is a lovely, historic
town, not that far from Paris. Very posh accomodations in an old
building. Don't be put off by the crooked stairs on your way up;
they've done a really nice job restoring the rooms. Excellent restaurant.

The restaurant will provide you with a gastronomical menu inspired by the seasons. The bar "Le 1707" and the terrace are both opportunities to relax and savour aperitifs and cocktails. The key-words for this place might well be authenticity and joie de vivre.
