The rooms are old and tired. However, the staff go out of their way to help you with all queries. Good location to access the city centre and port. free internet access was a bonus.

This is a great little hotel halway between the city of Athens and the port at Pireas. We met a older employee at the hotel called Nick and he spent quite a bit of time talking to us and giving us a lot of good advice about what to see anywhere in Greece. He seemed to have a lot of knowledge and loved to have a chat and a joke with us. The rooms are small but comfortable - ours had a balcony - not much of a view though. breakfast was included and we discovered that if you wanted toast then it was just a matter of taking the bread put out on the buffet table to the kitchen staff they would cook it for you.

I would really recommend you to stay here. I requested and got a bathtub with jacuzzi, and it was good (considering the prices). Cleanliness is good, staff speaks english and surrounding is quite. Good connectivity with buses to Syntagma (centre of athens).

The hotel was on a busy 6-way motorway. The noise didn't die down even at night. There was a mix up with our friend's room, it looked like someone used it under his name for some steamy action and no one could explain what and why it happened. Also the hotel is good only for smokers. For that price I'd expect something better.

The rooms are value for money. With the hotel be positioned on the main highway the noise is suprisingly low. The Hotel staff gave us some travel info. which was inaccurate and left us short on one occasion. Other than that the Hotel is fine for a short stay and the restaurant staff are very friendly.

l'hotel si affaccia proprio sulla via principale,4 corsie per senso di marcia, quindi è terribilmente rumoroso!ho prenotato una matrimoniale per 2 periodi diversi(inizio e metà settembre),data l'esperienza del primo soggiorno ho chiesto se al soggiorno successivo potevamo avere una stanza più silenziosa, ma sono rimasta spiacevolmente sorpresa quando ci siamo presentati al secondo check in e invece della mat.ci hanno affibiato una camera con 4letti singoli e sempre sulla stessa strada!!i bagni sono piccolissimi e la muffa è "evidente" rimane fuori dal centro ma i collegamenti sono ottimi.non lo consiglierei ma..rispetto a molti altri le tariffe sono davvero accessibili..ciaooo

The traffic outside hotel is very intense also during nighttime, so we were unable to use our balcony. Photos on the web are real but give a better impression of the hotel location. The hotel was more distant than expected from the downtown. Also we had many difficulties in finding bus tickets (we founded only in subway stations, more than 1 Km far from hotel). We took taxi only one time as they are very expensive: 18 euros for a 8 minutes way (from Syntagma square to hotel). On the breakfast room too many smokers ruined our breakfast time. Also room was small, not well clean, and extremely smoke-smelling. Bathroom was very small and in poor conditions (not sufficient for a 3* hotel). We had good impression from Greece but bad impression from this hotel. We will surely not come in again.

It was the 2nd time we stayed at hotel hellinis,we stayed there as well last year. We are so pleased that we also stayed 2 nights on our way back on the 16th and 17th of august.We intend to stay there every time we go to Athens.

It is an old hotel next to the premises of alternates, but without problems. It is in a very wide avenue and by far traffic that makes noisy by the nights. The bath is the worse thing of the room, without curtain nor screen of shower. The breakfast is well. Es un hotel viejo junto a un local de alterne, pero sin problemas. Está en una avenida muy ancha y con mucho tráfico que lo hace ruidoso por las noches. El baño es lo peor de la habitación, sin cortina ni mampara de ducha. El desayuno está bien.

This hotel which was describe near city center needs 15mn bus to join it. It is also along a all day and nighy very busy road. Noisy very small bathroom . good help and service

Compared with the public areas, the rooms were rather shabby and smelled strongly of stale smoke. It would be nice to have the choice of smoking or non-smoking rooms. The staff however, made us feel very welcome, and the hotel is handily placed for both Piraeus and central Athens. We would use the hotel again for sheer convenience and value for money.

When I'll come back to Athens I'll book a room in Hotel Hellinis for sure.It's situated in the centre of Athens, it's very clean and it offers everything you need and the relationship between quality and price is excellent. I reccomend it.

Cockroaches in the bathroom and bedroom! The surroundings are awful, the hotel is on a motorway lined with strip clubs and casinos. The room we had also had a large household refrigerator, which was completely empty and extremely noisy. We unplugged it. Also as a gay couple we didn't feel particularly comfortable in the hotel. We only stayed one night.

The staff was very professional and a great source of information. They made my stay quite enjoyable. The hotel is located midway between the City center and the beach. The rooms are comfortable and even include free internet access and a computer. If you have any questions at all ask the staff. I will stay there in the future. I will also be using Venere for booking.

Clean and corresponding to the web description. quite far from city center and along a busy freeway. Nevertheless, rooms are soundproof and very quiet, and many city buses assure fast and direct links with metro strations and old town (6 a.m. - 12 p.m.).

Like all the Athen's people, you may be surprised with the welcoming. But After all, this one was not worse than the other places you will find in Athen. This hotel is place around 2km from the Syrou metro station. From the center use the 'A2', 'B2' or '126' bus to go to this hotel (0.45€ per person - ticket not sold in the bus but in the metro stations or the kiosks around). You can take a taxi (those next to the syntagma station in front of the McDonalds down the place for 4€). We stayed 2 nights and one the week after. The two differents room were very different. The last night we got one on the 6th floor. It was very good with a jacouzzi, a balcony. The room space is enough and the breakfast is more than suffisant. Do not compare this hotel with a Holliday inn or a novotel, but it's half the price. We paid 60€/night in August/05. I would not suggest the hotels around the "ommonia" area. Indead the place is not well friendly. You may find drugs for sure around there.
