The Stanley hotel is located 700 metres from the centre of Athens. Built in 1966 and renewed in 2003, the hotel is the ideal place for business people and tourists alike.

The hotel features comfortable rooms, banqueting rooms, 3 bars, 2 restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, elevator accessible with wheelchair, piano bar-restaurant, various lounges, business center, Internet Corners, printer and PC available.

The hall, fully air conditioned, has granite floors, new decorations and state-of-the art lighting, and offers 24-hour reception offering currency exchange service, tour reservations, car rental and wake up calls. A double room on the seventh floor with a good view of the city. The roof top view is even better. We were slightly disappointed that the hotel desk clerk told us that this hotel does not have any non-smoking rooms. Although, the room did not have a heavy smoky smell, one could tell somebody had smoked. The location is fantastic, right next to the subway station. You can get an all-day subway pass (includes city busses and trollies) for just 3 Euro. The one-week pass is just 10 Euro. Getting around and back to this hotel is super easy. The hotel breakfast had a good variety, so nobody will go hungry. The room did not have a refrigerator, so don't take food that needs to be chilled.

In a relatively quiet part of the city but with excellent connections via the metro. The metro station is on the doorstep. The breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Room facilities were good overall. Television was very small and old. Roof top pool area is a real plus.

On the website it indicated that i would be able to pay for my room when I got to the hotel and it would not be automatically charged to my credit card. I had planned to pay for the room in Euros. The room was automatically charged to my credit card in dollars and therefore cost me more than I had expected. The hotel staff would not make the correction for me. The reason I booked with your service was so that I could pay in Euros on my arrival. Therefore, it is unlikely i will book with you again.

We stayed at Stanley in mid September 2007. On beforehand we had asked for a room with a view over Akropolis and we got that. Very good. We liked the pool area on top of the hotel. Moreover the metro station is located very near the hotel - very convenient. Great view! We did not like the heavy smoke odour in our room. When we aske for a map over Athens we got a hardly readable copy which could not be used. The hotel across the street handed us a good map when we asked for one. The breakfast was reasonable and in our case included in the room rate. An improvement would be to more clearly indicate where the smokers area is and to move the food from the smoking area to a more "neutral" place in between (or not allow smoking in the breakfast room.

Clean and well serviced hotel situated in a nice and clean area, easy to reach by car (this is a major issue in Athens). Away from the dangerous streets of Omonia which are crowded of very doubtful people, a "stay far away" zone. The restaurant from the top is amazing with a great view of Acropolis. Worth trying.

a good hotel to stay in.both times we stayed overnight in transit, and was good. they gave us a room which overlooked the acropolis, as requested.they have a great restaurant on the roof top.the only problem was that i wanted to pay by cash they only wanted me to pay by card??!! breakfast was good. will stay again and reccomend to other travellers.

A centric hotel (metro station)with an excellent breakfast buffet. Clean and espacious rooms. TV has various SAT chanels in different languages. Negative: only 2 elavators with 9 floors.

I do not know if it was the specific day, but the morning wake up was extremely noisy. The room was small. The breakfast was quite good. It took one month to get the invoice by post, obviously the cooperation with Venere could be improved.
