For those who don't mind walking, some of the attractions that can be reached on foot include the Acropolis (25 minutes) and the Kolonaki shopping district (15 minutes). |

Generally the service was good and even the room has been nice with an excellent view to Lycabettus Hill. It was even quiet as it lies behind another hotel.
But ... it takes more than 4 minutes to come from the metro station to the hotel and I just had breakfast twice and every time the waiters didn't even ask me for coffe as the did with the other guests. The juices at the breakfast have been terrible.

Hotel Alexandros was a great place to stay. The hotel is located off a very busy street but once inside you could not hear the street traffic. The hotel staff was very accomodating, breakfast was plentiful and the metro is a short walk away. The hotel is easy to get to via metro from the airport-save your money and take the metro-no transferring of lines. I would stay at this hotel again!

The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is not walking distance to the main part of Athens but the Metro is very close. Taxi fair into the city was around 5 euro which is cheap also. The hotel interior is quite nice but the room we had was a little dated. Overall I would stay there again but compared to the Georgio in the centre of the city the rooms were not as nice. Clean and hygenic which is all you need and TV worked with enough channels.

We had a fantastic stay at Alexandros hotel.
They gave us the 'Bronze suit' at the same price as the room we had booked because it was not available when we arrived.
The Bronze suit was absolutely excellent! It was just a bit noisy at night, maybe due to the air conditioner.
The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the employees were really polite and very helpful, especially Spiro!
The hotel offers free parking, this is a really good service for those who travels by motorbike as we did.

Alexandros is a small hotel located in a good and safe location just off the Vasilissis Sofias (Leoforos) Road behind a small chapel. It is 200m away from the American Embassy and 400m away from the Megaro Moussikis metro station. It was easy and cheap to get there from the airport using the Metro (just 5 Euros)and the walkway from the tube station to the hotel was wide and easy to roll your luggage. I used the hotel as a no frills alternative to staying at the expensive Hilton hotel down the road when attending a week long conference at the Hilton. The room is clean and tidy with good breakfast provided. Good value for the price. Highly recommended if you dont need a swimming pool to cool down in the heat. The air conditioning in the room can be improved as it got a bit too warm even when the air condition was turned down to minimum in the afternoons. Also the carpets are a bit worn and needs changing. Staff are helpful and friendly

Nice hotel of 6 floors, not in the best are of Athens. Nice welcoming: the employees speak more then 4 EU languages and they are really friendy. Nice room with a poor view. Excellent breakfast.
Good hotel if you want to spend there 3 days. Weeknesses: NO AR CONDITION IN THE PASSAGE of the hotel. Ok in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alexandros Hotel. The price was fair (89 euros a night). The breakfast was good and the location was convenient for our needs. The bus stop and metro were both in walking distance. It was easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very good experience overall. Hotel Alexandros met our expectations indeed.

Reception was very friendly and the rooms at the 2nd floor were tidied, but the room's floor (moquette !) was emabarrasingly dirty (grease and liquid stains were all over the floor, really disgusting !). After our complaints they gave us immediately two new rooms, more spacious and cleaner, at the 4th floor. Breakfast in a very stylish room was satisfying.

We arrived a little later to check in the hotel because of a delay in our flight from Barcelona. I guess they gave our double room to another because the guy who was in the reception didn´t expect our arrival. Anyway the pleasant guy worked out the situation giving to us the golden suite, the best room of the hotel. So, what can I say about the alexandros... It's a great place to stay some days in Athens, not too much expensive, good staff and a very very very good breakfast. A+++

My wife and I are well satisfied with our stay at the hotel and would like to come back some time in the future if we are going to Athens. The breakfast was good and the service at the hotel was good as well. We were on holiday on Samos and Patmos and finished our stay in Greece spending two days in Athens. We mostly walked into the centre of the city (went by underground once). I am sure we could have got all the information we needed about bus, taxi and underground in the reception, but a board giving all the information would be welcome.Anyway we didn't see any board. The room was spacious and good and so was the bathroom. The only little minor snag was a leak between the bathtub and the wall so that water was running across the floor. We walked up on the nearby Lycabettus Hill, which gives a view we wouldn't like to miss.

The inside of the hotel is very nice and very well decorated. But the rooms are not to the same standard and the shower was even worse due to an akwardly placed shower head that got more water on the floor than on me. Overall I was a little disappointed.
Earlier in the week we stayed at the Marriott and for the little extra cost it was much nicer and had a better location.
Also there is a tiny little bar right outside the hotel if you turn left at the end of the driveway that is small, quiet, and perfect for a night cap.

We used this hotel as our "home base" during our 3 week stay in Greece. The hotel and its staff were delightful and accomodating (they allowed us to leave some bags with them between stays, check in early, upgraded us to a triple at no additional charge). We would absolutely stay there again during our next visit to Athens.
