The hotel is a considerable distance from the city of Assisi, a long and difficult walk, frequently uphill. Those in good physical shape will do fine; others could not make it. The hotel was attractive and quiet. Our greeting upon arrival was less than warm. Later, during our stay, the staff was more accommodating, nicer. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel's dining room...good food and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere.

Staff arranged for an early breakfast as we had to catch the 7:21 am train. Very pleased with the service.
