Hotel Romantik Le Silve is situated in Armenzano, in the heart of Umbria, close to the charming city of Assisi. The property was built on a natural plateau at the foot of the Subasio hill (700 metres above sea level). It is immersed within the beautiful scenario of grassy meadows and woodlands, inside an estate featuring horses, deer and others wild animals.

The hotel is housed in a charming, carefully restored 10th century hostel, elegantly furnished with antique furniture. Its terraces and windows offer a spectacular and unforgettable view over the Umbrian landscape.

Horse riding and several tracked itineraries for tracking lovers are some of the facilities offered to guests. Furthermore the hotel boasts a tennis court, a swmiing pool and mini golf track, as well as a restaurant and a bar.

    Your website is not user-friendly. Why do I need to register and log in? I will try to use other sites first in future. This hotel is excellent - much better than the description suggests. It is hard to find but well worth the effort. The standards are high and the setting wonderful. The restaurant is outstanding.

    The property is beautiful but is much more remote than we had expected. It is ideal for a two+ day rest from touring, but not well situated for visiting Assisi or other sites in Umbria. I would say that it is more a resort than a travelers' hotel. It is located 13 kilometers away from Assisi on a narrow, twisting mountain road. Nothing was said about this in the web pages. Also, the price quoted in the web pages was not valid. We had to agree to pay more to obtain a booking. The property and its situation are better than the writeup and pictures in the web pages would lead one to expect. With an extra day, we could have hiked in the surrounding hills or enjoyed more of the amenities that Le Silve had to offer.

    HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
    By car
    From the north, leave the A1 highway at Valdichiana and take the E45 road to Perugia. Once in Ponte S. Giovanni, follow the indications to Assisi. From Assisi, follow indications to Gualdo Tadino, then to Armenzano for around 8 km.
    From the south, leave the A1 highway at Orte and take the superstrada to Terni. Before reaching Terni, follow the E45 towards Perugia until your reach Ponte S. Giovanni. Then, follow the aforementioned indications.
