Everything was curt and functional. Just thought it was a little unwelcoming to be told immediately to move our car after arriving in a drizzle up front driveway just to drop off our bags.

This hotel provided 2 large rooms for us which wee good. The staff were friendly but not always around, and there was not much tourist information. We stayed in the winter, I imagine the pool would get crowded in the summer. A car is essential as it is quite a way out from Arles.

Spent 3 nights Breakfast rather basic, but OK. Dinner rather expensive, as well as limited in choice, but good. Wines expensive but very good. Overall, very satisfactory.

We curtailed our stay by 2 days only due to the problems with mosquitoes. The Auberge is in a marshy area and there was a particular problem with mosquitoes during the summer. This affected our alfresco evening meals. The quality of the evening meal was exceptional.

Jean Claude was an excellent host and a great entertainer. It was pleasurable to have such a warm friendly and sincere welcome in a nice location.

The attention of the owners is minimalist and rather stiff (although the staff is helplful), but otherwise this was an excellent place to stay--especially if you're looking for a quiet, countryside retreat that's nevertheless very close to Arles, Les Baux, the Camargue, and other sites in the region. There's a very pleasant patio area, somewhat separated from the pool--both wonderful places to relax. The hotel was full when we stayed there, but the other guests were all remarkably quiet. The room was very comfortable, and there was no noise at all, both morning and evening. For the price, I don't think you can beat the serenity and convenience of this hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel (for no particular reason), but if you're looking for a great restaurant in Arles, the Rue Barreme (6 rue du Forum), which is just around the corner from the Place du Forum, is a great experience--esp. if you're looking for something chic, sophisticated, but relatively moderate in price. The food was brilliant, and the atmosphere very hip (although diners were of all age groups). Most restaurants in Arles are touristic schlock, but dining at the Rue Barreme is like going to a smart Parisian restaurant for about a third of the cost. We thought it was the best place to eat in Arles unless you can afford L'Atelier.

Besides the very attractive and lovingly cared-for inn and grounds (with a pretty garden to sit in complete with tables, chairs, and benches), the dinners were excellent and the managers/owners spoke excellent English, which made it all very easy for non-French visitors. The inn, as promised, was set in the middle of a sea of grass that was being harvested for one of the four hay crops per year, adding a lovely rural touch. The inn is also very conveniently placed for visiting any number of different places in the Bouches du Rhone area, the Gard, the Luberon, and the Vaucluse. I highly recommend both the area and the inn.

I stay in many hotels and this is now one of my favourites. It is a place I want to go back to and spend some time there. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. It has atmosphere, from the occasional cries of peacocks outside to the smell of the wood burning fire in the dining room. You can imagine the 3 Musketeers meeting here in the past! The facilities are excellent and the site of the chef bringing in freshly picked herbs from the garden was inspiring. My stay was ruined by rain, so I was unable to explore the area but the Auberge is sited perfectly to explore this exciting area with all that it has to offer. I truly recommend this place, and ladies, the Auberge advertises a chocolate massage!

Very nice hotel in a beautiful location. Would certainly recommend it. Great service and very good food. Excellent quality for the price paid. Only minor thing: the swimming pool is very very small.

Rooms are a little sloppy. Broken floorboards, leaky toilets, missing and torn window screens. Sloppy painting on the old woodwork. Grounds were not in good condition. Swimming pool full of leaves and insects. Restaurant food was good, but the service was glacially slow. They charged us for 3 days of breakfeasts that we never ate. That cheated me out of 54 euros. I would Not go back again. There are plenty of other places to stay in Arles that offer better value.

Very pleasant stay - would have been good to have known more about half board option, as couldn't have evening meal at hotel on the Sunday or Monday, which was only available for half-board guests.

This hotel is without a doubt a beautiful country style farmhouse hotel in a fabulous and unspoilt setting. When we drove up to the gate you cannot help but think that it is picture postcard French countryside. The lavender fields surround the hotel and the grounds of the hotel although small are not overally landscaped, everything is left to grow kind of wild and free. The reception area is charming although very small and the bar is not a functioning one (you need to order a drink from the waitress in the restuarant). It is a rustic reception area with some comfortable wicker furniture to relax on. The restuarant is directly off the reception area and is only sectioned off by a large heavy curtain (all very provincial and tastefully decorated by the way). The food is organic and very fancy although it is quite pricey and we weren't always full after our three course meal. You get quite small portions even if they are well displayed on the plate. We ate out five nights of the week instead of dining in. Be warned that the restuarant closes on Sunday and Monday nights unless you are going half board...we got caught out here. The staff were very friendly and although my basic french left alot to be desired (NOBODY speaks much english - so brush up!) they were very very nice. The only negative to this hotel is that it is completely adults only!! We brought our 15 month old baby girl and were assured she would be catered for....however this hotel is not suitable if you have a family of any age. If you have a baby you will have a problem with feeding as there is no kettle or heating facilities in the bedroom and no fridge. We requested dinner for our baby and she was served a very fancy gormet plate of dinner totally unsuitable! The clientele are of a older age group and when our baby voiced herself a couple of them gave us dirty looks and we felt that we should bring her up to our room. The other guests were very inconsiderate to children and this kind of made

A charming hotel in the outskirts of Arles. The staff was very helpful in solving minor issues. The map provided in the site should be improved, as directions and distances seems inaccurate. I definetely would reccomend this hotel

Lovely hotel a few minutes drive from Arles. Particularyly recommended if you are traveling by car or have children with you. The gardens and pool were an oasis of tranquility. The hotel restaurant has excellent food, and the hotel staff are friendly and casual. Highly recommended and excellent value...tough to find a place this nice for under 100 euros anywhere in France.

A recommander absolument!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was larger than we had expected and the place is beautiful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would come back here to stay again.

The Mas was an ideal place to stay! It was nice and quiet, and an ideal location to go into either Arles or some of the other small towns and villages in Provence. Our room was nicely decorated and VERY clean. Having AC was critical since it was very hot (June), and the swimming pool on the property was ideal. The owners and staff are very helpful and accomodating, and are very kind hosts. We arrived late on a Sunday night and were starving. The reception desk was empty, but we found the chef in the kitchen who found our room key. When I explained how famished we were, he brought us the most perfect platter of melon, cheese, proscuitto & baguette - such a kind gesture! We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again!

This is a spacious facility. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed it so much it was hard to leave to go out and explore. The pool is lovely. We enjoyed the peace and relaxation. The location was good to base from in order to see sights. We had a king size bed which is hard to find. The room was big and comfortable.

Zimmer war gut, ruhig, sehr sauber. Personal sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit. Mahlzeiten waren hervorragend. Lage ziemlich außerhalb des Zentrums, wurde aber ausgeglichen durch einen shuttle ins Zentrum (morgens hin, abends Abholung). Das Haus ist empfehlenswert!

A nice place, a comfortable room (something worn accessories, shower support broken and bath impossible to fill). Very kind personnel. Food quality very good, food prices high comparing to room price, but clearly exposed. A place where i Hope to return.

There is not much to do in Arles at the time of year we visited, but the accommodation was fantastic and looked after us very well. The restaurant meals are just wonderful and highly recommended.

This small property run by a young couple is excellent based upon the price that we paid. It was off season and this was a real bargain. Increase the price by E70 to the in-season rate and I would not have been pleased. Meals were generally good but little choice is available. Choice of two mains was 35E and a no-choice demi-pension option was E20. Since it was off season, we did not have high expectations in terms of food selection. The owner is quite helpful in respect to information about the area and various routes back to Paris. The hotel is secluded and a car is a must. It is approximately 5 km from Arles . There is a commerial center 4 km away toward Arles that includes an excellent Geant store with an incredible selection of foods including meats and cheeses. Rather than spend the E9.50 each for petit-dejeuner, we opted to visit the local boulangerie or Geant and/or charcuterie for our breakfast and picnic supplies.
