suitable for couples who want quiet relaxing break with great food and romantic surroundings. Lovely grounds with pool and loungers for sunbathing. Very peaceful. We stayed for two nights.

DREADFUL, despite a large number of cars in the car park we were eventually told, after 10 mins, that half(4) the rooms were not available so there was no room for us. After arriving very hot and dusty as it is a long way from town, we were told we could wait 2hrs, but there were no facilities to wash and change, have dinner and then be driven to another hotel to sleep. The owner at his computer did not even get up to speak to me personally.

Stunning location and easy access for Arrezzo A family run hotel with the highest standards, very friendly and accomodating. Directions on how to reach the hotel from the city are excellent - don't try to approach from the national park behind the hotel. The food was fantastic and the wine just as good.

Hotel, food, service, surroundings: perfetta! Gianni and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Try to combine a stay in Badia di Pomaio with a visit to the famous antique market in Arezzo, always on the first Sunday of the month and the Saturday before. Only signs to location could be better.

A great hotel with a lot of character. The only problem we encountered was they couldn't find the key when we checked in, but otherwise it was a fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place, wonderful view, special set of the pool is extraordinary. You have to be lucky though to get a room with view.

It is easy to find the hotel, just follow the directions on the website, the last few km is a very tiny road, drive carefully! The view over Arezzo from the hotel/pool is absolutely beautiful. The staff were nice and very serviceminded, the management was not, they have to work on being as friendly as their staff. We had dinner one night at the hotel and the food was very, very good (try the tuna steak). Breakfast was also very good, a lot to choose from.....salami, ham, salmon, cheese, different kind of cakes and bread. We had one problem, and that was the noice indoors due to stonefloors and the paperthin walls between the rooms, you hear everything absolute everything so it was hard to get a good night sleep.

A marvelous retreat after the hustle and bustle of Rome, Venice and even Arezzo. We felt special from the moment of arrival until we departed. We had no trouble communicating...some staff were proficient in English, others had fun trying, as did we in our limited Italian. While this is a centuries old Abbey, no expense was spared in updating it to a modern hotel. Yet at times, you feel that you are a part of the happenings so long ago.

Exceeded our expectations. Wonderfully restored monastary. The dining room was 5 star plus - including the food and the service. After touring for 5 days, this hotel was clearly the best ever. Next time I will stay here and use this place as a touring base.

Un sitio estupendo, la gente encantadora y la relación calidad precio de las mejores que he encontrado en Italia. Lo único un poco complicado es llegar, pero con paciencia se consigue. Y las vistas son espectaculares. Muy recomendable.

Beautiful surroundings, quietness, view! However relatively far from the city Arrezzo. We stayed only one night. So there was no possibility having a visit of the city not using the car. And even by car it is rather distant. But we love the place and the restaurant.

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night and regretted that we could not stay longer. Service was excellent, hotel and surroundings lovely and the views beautiful. Dinner was delicious and breakfast plentiful. The other guests were friendly and made a point of meeting us. The hotel is 15 mins from the train station by taxi, and perched high on a hill away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for a quiet break relaxing by the pool.

The hotel was excellent with a fine selction of wines at reasonable to exciting prices. The food was also very good with attentive service. The accessibility is the only area thta copuld be seen as a problem . Believe in the instruction and look for the corner shop for the turn to the hotel .That is the key. Then the 4.3 km up the hill!

This property is located in the hills of Arezzo with an amazing view. There is a lovely pool. It is very removed from the immediate city. You must drive to get anywhere as there is only one way up the hill. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was across from the kitchen which made it a little loud until about 10:30 p.m.

This hotel was amazing! It's a several hundred year old monestary that was converted to an inn and restaurant. The owner Gianni is a warm and friendly host and his 6 year old son is a great character and entertaining whenever he is around. the property and surrounding countryside are spectacular! There is a 5 star (in our opinion) restaurant in the building and the service, ambiance and food are maginificent. We could have had several meals there if we stayed longer. There are not enough compliments that can adequately add to the description and experience we would like to convey. We were sorry that we were unable to stay longer but would return and like others use the Inn as our base of operation when we further explore Tuscany. You will be fortunate if you stay here.... Its great value for the money and an experience you will never forget!

First time in Badia di Pomaio, excellent expericence, old and nice building just restructured, nice room, internet connection for free, very cheap compared with the services provided. The restaurant is very good with a interesting list of wines. Also the restaurant is not expensive.

very good place to relax. during the winter the only thing you can do is probably stay in the hotel and have a good meal. the quality of the food is very good, and the prices are good for what you get. it's a bit far from everything but it's ok to chill out. there are plenty of farms close where you can buy som local organic products. we had a very good time there. stayed only for 1 night only, i wouldn't stay there more than 3 next time though...
