Annecy is a great place for a relaxing break, and I'd recommend it to most people. I would also recommend not paying to go into the Chateau as it takes five minutes to walk around, and the displays are not multilingual, the outside is all you need to see.

Pleasant room, nicely decorated, close to old town and new mall. Hotel was not easy to find from the main street.

The hotel is well situated for the Old Town of Annecy. As such, it is a good base. The hotel's location in the centre makes it somewhat difficut to find and the parking arrangements are, at best, slightly scary. All of the staff wewre courteous and most helpful.

The room was tiny, had a view of an unused and exceptionally unsightly parking lot, and the room, including the mattress and bedding smelled stale. When we asked if we might change rooms, there wasn't anything available. Although the location was convenient and the price reasonable for the area, I would not stay there again.

The only problem with the hotel was finding it .This is because of the one way system in annecy which the locals cannot follow either.Great position though for shops old town and the lake.Difficult to fault.

We stayed for 12 nights.Hotel excellent and situated within easy walking distance of Annecy's old area and lake, but let down somewhat by it's location next to a car park, hence no rooms with a view.Could not fault hotel staff, always helpfull and nothing too much trouble.Would certainly stop again but please issue directions as due Annecy's road system the hotel is a nightmare to find first time.

Excellent base for staying in Annecy. No views from any of rooms though, but as the hotel was literally minutes from the lake and pedestrianised old town it didn't really matter. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the plentiful breakfast was good value. Would recommend the hotel for value for money and it's central location near Rue Carnot, the biggest pedestrianised shopping street in Annecy.

We had a room on the 3rd floor with two small windows that we had to stand up to watch outside. Anyway, there was nothing to watch, because the hotel is in a very ugly neighbourhood. There was no mini bar in the room. Annecy is an excellent town though, so we would stay again for a couple of days.

This is an excellent 3 star hotel. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Compared to other 3 star hotels during my 8 week holiday in Europe I would rate this as one of the best.

The breakfasts are wonderful!! But,this hotel could use some up-dating - carpeting is a bit shabby and the bedspreads are not very bright. It is a functional hotel.

My wife and I visited Annecy for 3 nights as part of our French honeymoon. Hotel Allobroges was the perfect base for our stay. The room was bigger than our more expensive room in Paris, and the free internet in the lobby was a great bonus. The breakfast was excellent for 9 euros. A nice way to spoil yourself at the start of the day. Best of all though, was the staff. Our greeting was warm and friendly and all three receptionists we encountered made us feel welcome and at ease. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone visiting Annecy.

Lovely hotel, great location, bonus having car parking on site. Rooms lovely, clean, fresh and modern, seem like just recently decorated. Staff really friendly and helpful, breakfast lovely and plently off it. Would not hesitate going back to Allobroges in the future !

Excellent central hotel, recommended. Only problem was with the car park, which was full, meaning we had to use the adjacent car park (which the hotel paid for). Car was unfortuantely damaged in car park. This is not the hotel's fault thought, but worth considering if the ability to securely park is important.

We were very happy with the service of staff and webpage. The property was good value. The additional cost for breakfast was excellent value. The location very convenient and we will definitely reccommend it to our potential clients on Thai Airways International.

We were happy with the three days that we stayed, but it had been extremely difficult to find. One way systems, bad signposting in the town, made us quite fearful of leaving the hotel parking when we went touring. Due to the help of the Manager we did find out way out, and back again, just. Otherwise a good place to stay, central to town and restaurants. Were there for wonderful Firework display for July 14th. Best wishes to them all.

The hotel is very convenient to the train station and only three short blocks from the old town. Our only complaint is that the hotel is expensive relative to others we stayed in and the breakfast was an extra 8 euro per person, which is unusual these days.

Fine hotel, excellent proximity to train station, still close to canals and centre ville. Friendly service.

This hotel was not very remarkable in any way except that it backs up to a cinema complex and there was a lot of noise even late on Sunday night. We had to have the windows open because the air conditioner didn't work. It was clean but I thought a little on the expensive side for the quality of the property.

City Centre Hotel with excellent access to all locations. Generally very quiet but back rooms overlook a car park which was occasionally used by skateboarders. Private Parking for residents very good.

The "Allobroges" is a very pleasant hotel, which is about a 5 minute walk from the railway station - a taxi is unnecessary, if you are travelling with normal volumes of luggage. The room was clean and airy with a pleasant view. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is well-situated in relation to the "old town" and the many outdoor restaurants. I would certainly seek to stay at the Allobroges in the future.

The hotel was being refurbished ,with no distruption to ourselves when finished the hotel will be of high standard we were very happy with our choice and have no complaints .the only thing we felt could improve was the availibity in the room of facilities to make coffee or tea.

I had a nice stay in the hotel Allobroges hotel. The room was clean and quiet.Beds were comfortable.I found the bathroom spacious and immaculate. The buffet breakfast was generous and the quality very good.Tables were clean and cutlery spotless. The staff were kind and always smiling. The position of the hotel was also good ,near the centre and near all the main shopping facilities. I would certainly recommend the hotel and would book a room again if I am back to Annecy.

A very friendly and warm welcome. The hotel is a basic 3* but served our purposes for the one night. The reservation on-line was relatively easy although there were very few rooms available in Annecy. Friends that booked direct found it much easier to find accomodation.
