We and our friends stayed for a week at this hotel and were impressed with the elegant service that was offered every day. From the impeccably clean rooms to the carefully attended gardens, to the highly sophisticated meals at the restaurant, everything spells high quality hotel.

We were extremely disappointed with the room we were assigned to. Although we paid a premium to upgrade to a bigger and what we thought would be a nicer room, we ended up in an attic room with one small window. The room was large but we would have taken a smaller room for more sunlight and a more romantic room. Very dark place. We truly felt they put us up in the "attic". Unfortunately, there were no rooms available for an exchange as the hotel was booked. The front desk staff was very pleasant and I could tell they would have accommodated us if something was available. Instead, at checkout they did discount the room by 20% but only after much discussion with my husband. The room as well as the hallways in the building we stayed in was quite worn and a bit tacky. Rug replacement in both the room and hallways and stairs would help quite a bit. We stayed the night before in Saint Patrice in an old chateau for less and the place had style, class, great service while keeping with the country style that Le Choiseul provided. There was no comparision between the two places. The dinner at the restuarant was excellent and again the staff provided great service. Just very disappointed with the room especially since the place was referred to us by 2 other couples. Your website should include a better description of the rooms and should show more pictures of the different style rooms. Other websites do this and sometimes even provide pictures of each room so someone can request a specific room by room number.

Le Choiseul is an excellent hotel and accommodated our family very well, even down to teddy bears for the children ! The staff are first class, the food excellent and the rooms spacious and well appointed. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Loire Valley. We will stay there again on our next visit !

We had a really lovely 3 days over Easter, staying in this wonderful and friendly hotel we highly reccomend it to you all , go stay and spoil yourselfs.
