This is a good quality, modern hotel in an ideal location with the old town, the market, the Rambla, the harbour and the modern town all within a short walk. Alicante's excellent airport is also a 15 min ride away with a regular bus service stopping outside the hotel and costing 1 euro each for the journey. (Public transport is good and taxis are plentiful and cheap). The staff were a little disorganised with check-in taking longer than it should but, once in our rooms, we were very satisfied as they were smart, spacious and well maintained. The public areas lack atmosphere but there ia a bar and the drink prices are very reasonable. We did not take breakfast but there are dozens of cafes close to the hotel where you can get breakfast. This was our fist visit to Alicante and we were quite impressed; it is a place of geniune character and atmosphere and there are plenty of reasonably priced resuarants offering local food. The beach is attractive and kept very clean and the old historic town and the harbour area are worth a visit. All in all, we would recommend both the hotel and the city for a good value, short break.

We stayed in Alicante for one week during Easter, Semana Santa (Holy Week) which was on our 'list of things to do'. It was a wonderful experience with the processions each evening, but most of all witnessing the the Spanish tradition of the whole family being out together. The hotel location is excellent, very central and could not disappoint anyone. Unfortnately we were given rather a hard-sell to upgrade our room and take breakfast (which we had not booked as we prefer to see how we feel each morning). I found this spoiled my feeling about the hotel and we moved to another hotel on the fourth day overlooking the port where coincidentally we were upgraded to a beautiful suite (most unexpectedly), but the receptionist noticed it was my husband's birthday during our stay. I would not try to put anyone off the hotel, it is a very nice, good standard modern hotel with everything you could require for a pleasant stay and the price we paid was extremely good value. I would recommend it to friends. Alicante is a very pleasant city for a short break with a wonderful art museum and an exceptional archaeology museum (so my husband tells me). There is a extremely cheap rail service which runs along the coast which I would recommend. Loads of very nice restaurants and excellent cheap breakfasts to be had if that is your preference to eating in the hotel. Airport is a short distance away, we used the bus on arrival which dropped us at the hotel for the princely sum of 1 euro (per head) and took a taxi back which was around 14 euros. Had a lovely memorable holiday in Alicante. Oh forgot, as I don't use them, but there is a very lovely safe beach which was full of young families having what appeared to be a ball!

Nice hotel. Well situated. Very comfortable room.Friendly staff. Stayed on room only basis so do not know about hotel restaurant/food but found plenty of good cafes & restaurants nearby. Definitely stay there again if we return to Alicante.

Very nice place to stay, very convenient to center of town, shops, old town and harbour. The main market (building)is just accross the road and is impressive. The rooms are very clean, not very spacious but enough as we wanted to spend our time in the city. Very good value for money. As it is in the center it is not very quiet because of the traffic, but we were prepared to this, as we wanted to be near by the city.

Very professionally run. Good service in the restaurant and a fine breakfast buffet. Fast, free wireless access in my room and down in the restaurant. Despite being on one of Alicante's busy main streets the room was quiet. Only a few minutes' jog to the seafront and a couple more to the beach.
