Hostal Hostal Empúries L'Escala - Venere.com hotel outside With a long history of hospitality, the main building was built to accommodate the archaeologists who had come to excavate the nearby Greek and Roman ruins discovered in the early 1900's. As with great monasteries and other historic buildings, this unique hotel was constructed in stages and by different hands, but still enjoys the same wonderful maritime seclusion as it did the day the first stone was laid at the beginning of the last century.

What a beautiful location! It is nestled in pine woods, overlooks a lovely beach and has spectacular views over the bay. It's also so convenient for visiting the ancient Greek and Roman cities with a fascinating museum, but isolated enough from the town of L'escala to feel very peaceful and quiet. The only problem we had was no hot water in the evening, but the staff were really helpful and got the problem fixed by the morning. It was worth staying just for the fantastic buffet breakfast on the terrace in under the morning sun - perfect!

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
