Barcelona is a wonderfull city, lots of places to see and be. The "El Abravadero" is a nice hostal one block from one of the main avenues and a metro station. It is quite nice in a pleasant residential neighbourhood, walk distance of the "Ramblas" and the main attractions. Ask for the hostal attendant for tips on restaurants and other non tourist places in order to get it more real.

i paid a double price for the room i had. there was a problem with the electricity, i can't switch on the light when i had to dry my hair.

The Hotel is really close to the metro (Paral-lel), the room is very very small. To say that the finishes were poor is actually making them a compliment. Stink of fresh paint (or something alike in the air-freshner) was a constant presence.
If you don't mind about that and you use the room ONLY for sleeping when you're exhausted after a night in the city well.. this is a good price/quality rate! The personnel is kind and present 24h a day.
