The family-run “hostal” POSADA DEL RÍO offers all the comforts of a hotel. Guests enjoy the 11 individually furnished and beautifully decorated rooms. Each has a private bath, TV and telephone, Internet connection and a balcony.

The country inn POSADA DEL RÍO is located in Alozaina in the Andalusian province of Malaga, about 45 km ( 45 minutes ) from the capital of the Costa del Sol. Alozaina, whose name means “little fortress” and “healthy and good place”, is a charming “white village” (2500 inhabitants) in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves.

In 1995 the Sierra de las Nieves was declared a BIOSPHERE RESERVE by UNESCO. The area offers our guests many possibilities of organizing their leisure time: You can go on hiking- or biking tours on excellent paths, you can discover the beautiful flora and fauna in different climate zones or you can have a look at archaeological discoveries, some of them dating back to the Stone Age.
All kind of sport activities can be organised for you.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From Malaga / Malaga Airport
About 45 km (40 minutes) from the Malaga Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport. Take Motorway A366 towards Malaga, turn on Motorway A7 / ( E15) direction Malaga and take exit 231B Parque Tecnologico, Cartama to get on Motorway A357.Follow A 357, pass Cartama, and you get on MA 403. Near Pizarra / Alora take MA 404 (A354) towards Casarabonela / Alozaina. After 8 km you pass Casarabonela and follow MA 403 (A354) to Alozaina. Take the entrance to Alozaina and follow the street up to the main square and you'll find Posada del Rio next to the town hall (Ayuntamiento). There is no private car Park but we will take care that your car is well parked.

From Sevilla and Cordoba you take the Motorway A92 Direction Malaga. Near Antequera take exit 146 to A 384 direction Campillos. Once in Campillos take the A 357 towards Malaga till Pizarra / Alora where you take MA 404 (A354) direction Casarabonela and after 8 km MA 403 (A354) to Alozaina. Take the first entrance to Alozaina and follow the street up the hill to the main square where you find Posada del Rio next to the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento).
From Sevilla or Cordoba you can also go to Ronda and from there on take A366 via El Burgo y Yunquera to Alozaina. In the entrance of Alozaina you follow the main street through the vilage till the main Square where you find Posada del Rio next to the Town Hall




By train
To Malaga main railway Station,from there take a bus or continue by car (on request we organise a taxi service).

By airplane
To Malga inernational Pablo Ruis Picasso Airport, from there take a bus or continue by car (on request we organise a taxi service).

By public transportation
Buses Paco Pepe, from Malaga main bus station 3 times a day.
