We were two persons, and got a triple room, so I guess it was a little more spacious than a normal double room. In fact I have only got one serious complain, and that was regarding the lack og quietness. The traffic outside was very disturbing and I had to go and buy my self earplugs. Except for this, the hotel lived up to my expectations, but due to the noisy traffic I will not stay in this hotel the next time I am in London.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we enjoyed very much, the room and bathroom was small but it was OK, the room was clean the bed was too small for two people. It was within walking distance to the train station, and a short distance to the bus stop.

I was for the first time in Nayland Hotel, alone. The worst things: room VERY small with small cupboard and no night table! Breakfast very poor. The good things: the people at the reception, the cleanliness and most of all the hotel surroundings. Very close to Paddington station in an area always full of life. Few minutes walk from Oxford Street. I would come back to Nayland Hotel after all.

the hotel is a joke
3 stars for this IMPOSSIBLE
first when we got there we had to go to another hotwel to drop our luggage
then the room was beyong small
we had a double room!!!
well it was double bed and that s it
no more than 8 sq m
the bathroom was small but clean
we put a sign to clean the room one day
this wasn t done
we should have had sky tv
nothing even though i asked every day
the staff was clueless as well
it was fairly central but apart from that
there was nothing good about it
breakfast was so poor
theyt call it rich
well poor is what it is
bread, butter some jam, 1 kind of cheese and ham
and that s it
no orange juice either
it was diluted juice
very poor and small as well
there was seating for like 16 people in there
i don t recommend it because you can certainly find cheaoer and better
it s not worth 3 stars
and it s not worth you staying there for the location

Perhaps it was just the room we were assigned, but I was very dissappointed in the Nyland.
Our room was so small that my wife and I had to literally move our bags so that we could walk from one place to the next within the room. And we only had a small suitcase and backpack each....
The room was just too small. The rest of the hotel was fine. A shame, but I would not stay there again unless a bigger room was available.

The good thing is cheap and close to the station, easy to go to airport by taking express train. The bad thing is the TV sound proof very poor, sounds from the street, and next door, we find that the TV sound from next room came from the electric plug on the wall. The worst - Breakfast, we don't take it on the last day. Forget the breakfast, it's still worth to take.

Very good for the price, but we are people that don't spend that much time in the hotel. We usually spend the day sightseeing and only use the hotel for sleeping and shower. The rooms are small but very clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is of good value for the money. The location is good as the tube is nearby, taxis are plentiful and bus service nearby.

Nayland Hotel is in a great location, very close to Paddington station, various restaurants and pubs, Hyde Park and I noticed one of the stops of the double decker tours buses was 1 minute away from the hotel. The reception was very nice and professional and there was a tiny elevator that only fit 4 people at once but it was much better than walking up to our floor as we had been in other countries. Our room had a bathroom which was teeny tiny (you could barely turn around in there with the door closed), very clean and though the hot water didn't work the first night (there was a water main break in front of the hotel that day) it did work the next night and was just fine once we realized hot was cold and cold was hot. It was quiet as far as street noise goes but there was some sort of machinery noise going on inside the hotel (maybe the elevator?)that we got used to. The room was small and cramped and reminded me of some children's story where they lived in the attic, but we were expecting that from the pictures. There was no view since we were facing the back of the building, except for alley and the apartments across the way. It may sound like we didn't like this hotel but we chose it for the location, which was definitely the best part about it. And for the cheaper price in a city as expensive as London, I would probably stay here again since I don't intend to spend time in the hotel.

Room small + clean, but directly next to elevator, which made unusually strange noises(change of rooms was not possible), noise of loud street was the same with windows closed or open; towels that were to be changed were there as new ones the next day!!!; water took ages to get warm; tea and coffee at breakfast were about the same thing; orange juice was like yellow water; staff was not that friendly

Beautiful but small room, cleaned every day. Perfect and functional bathroom.
English breakfast with boiled eggs, toasted bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffe, tea, milk, mueslie and cornflakes.
Very nice surroundings (Paddington area), tube station within 1 mile; you'll find pubs, fish and chips and kebab every 50 meters!

Very nice hotel,we could stay again,if the price would be the same(we got 78e/night-weekendnights were on sale). It was easy to go to underground.Breakfast was boring, when used to Finnish breakfast, but in England it seems to be allways something like that. One little thing about breakfast:every morning I run out of tea,and nobody asked if I would have more. There could be self-service for that, too.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in quest' albergo.

At first, I booked a double room and which i expect it to be small. But when i came there, they gave me a 4-people family room which is large enough, but unfortunately, located in the basement, which is sometimes a bit noisy. The room is newly decorated and very clean. Given the price only 59 pound per night, it is value for money in London. Will consider to come back again.

To me, the Nayland is the hotel with the best relationship between price and quality, especially in London, and its prices were not too high. One problem, the fire alarm who rings with apparently no reason at 8 a.m...Surprising...

A beautiful place, very clean, with excellent location and, considering the London Standards, quite cheap. Some rooms are VERY small, but mine, was ok.
People at the desk could smile a little more, but they are kind, anyway.

Before i found this b&b, i read all the reviews for almost every b&b and was a bit afraid because there are lots of them that dont speak very well. at the end, you don't know what to belive. I found this one that had good reviews and as i read, I booked it, bored of looking for more.
I got surprised when i arrived. Exactly the same as the pictures shown in the web page.
the personnel working there were really friendly and made us feel as home. Everything in the room worked well, the toilet/shower were great. The bath and the room were a bit small, but all the b&b around europe are small so didn't spect to have a palace for myself.
Rooms very clean, as the toilets and everyday we had clean sheets and towels.
The room we were in, was in the front of the building, and there is a big and a bit busy road in front so we thought it was going to be quit noisy but could sleep without any problems.
They serve continental breakfast with cereals, toasts with jam, a juice that im still guessing what it was, hard-boiled eggs, ham and cheese and a really not very tasty coffee. But having that is enought for me, better that going out with an empty stomach.
Thanks venere and nayland hotel for a great weekend

Good quality for the price and an unbeatable location! Street is gorgeous and tube is right around the corner. Drawbacks included mediocre breakfast, no soundproofing between rooms, a front desk person who couldn't figure out that the room phone wasn't turned on, and the view from the room (a wall). But, in spite of all that, we would stay there again.

The place was what you would expect from a London hotel - the rooms were quite small but clean enough. Booking with Venere.com does not entail you to a free breakfast - but we ate for free anyways, the staff didn't seem to mind or care. The rooms were non-smoking, which was great, but the foyer was extremely smokey. The location is super close to Paddington.

Disappointed rooms were not as booked and had to be moved where one of our party with severe asthma struggled because of being on 3rd. floor with no lift whereas our original hotel confirmed did.

We booked a Quad and were told upon arrival that the booking agent was to have called us to inform us that a Quad was not available. We had to split up into two rooms over three nights which didn't make much for a "family" retreat to London. Although the staff did try to put us in rooms close together, there was miscommunication about what rooms we had and we ended up moving twice. The bar selection (wine) was poor. The best I can say about this property is its proximity to Paddington Station makes it worth the stay.
