"A Bijou in Toulouse" The Hotel Riquet is a wonderful botique hotel centrally located mins. from the main tourist areas and a 5 min. walk to the train/bus station. We booked a junior suite for 6 days. Upon arrival, Madame Piganiol, the owner, greeted us personally and very cordially. Our room, which was one of the largest we have had on many trips to France, had two windows overlooking the courtyard. It was very peaceful and the only activity was the neighborhod cat walking across the rooftops. The room was well equipped including a very confortable ks bed. The bathroom included a soaking tub, separate shower and two sinks and separate w/c. It appeared that the room/bathroom had been recently renovated. Madame Piganiol and her staff all spoke excellent English. This was helpful for me, even though my spouse speaks French! The staff was quite helpful with restaurant recommendations and train day trip planning to Albi and Carcassonne. We have already recommended this property to personal friends. Toulouse is joie de vivre!

The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, going beyond the call of duty when I had Internet woes. It's a budget hotel and the single rooms are quite tiny so maybe get a double if you need space, but it's clean and the staff were so nice I ended the day with a smile which came back as soon as I was in the breakfast room in the morning.

We chose the executive room which was very comfortable, quiet and well furnished (though quite expensive for this type of hotel). The bathroom was very modern and clean. The mini bar with free soft drinks and the tea/coffee making facilities were very welcome.Reception desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant in the hotel for dinner but we can strongly recommend a small restaurant nearby called "La Brindille" (don't be put off by the rather unpretentious entrance). The main railway station and town centre are within 10 minutes easy walk. If coming from the airport you can get off the airport bus at the Jean Jaures metro station and walk to the hotel in less than 10 minutes.

Immaculately clean but bland. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. As close to the station as you can be without being in one of the rougher roads whcih lead down from the station. Not much character but great value for money, although breakfast seemed aexpensice but I didn't have any as plenty of cafés nearby. Five minutes walk into town and to the station. The single rooms was literally a single room - one single bed, a TV, tiny shower room french window, nice and warm, and the street quiet so you could leave a window open at night.

I have been in Toulouse already several times and I lived in different hotels. This hotel was an optimal choice, near to the airport bus and the metro stations (I had no car), in the center, nevertheless in a quiet street. It was clean, comfortable and inexpensive. I will live there next time as well.

I stayed 3 nights for business. The hotel is ok, but single rooms are very small and the smoking area (rooms above the parking) are not that nice. The staff is fine, unless a little bit "too polite"! (doesn't sound very natural) Rooms are clean, and location quite fine (10/15mn walking from centre)

We loved this hotel and Toulouse. We figured it would be a great place to pick-up a car and head to Lourdes. We had no idea we would fall in love with this college town. The map to the hotel is not the greatest, but then again nothing on venere.com (we have found) has a good map. It is so close to the train station and not far from Place Wilson and the rest of the hopping parts of town. Highly recommend this cute hotel!

Really good hotel, it looks like a 2 star from the foyer reception area but when you get to your room it was at least 4 star, very comfy spacious and very nicely furnished. The bathroom was something else, huge with a walk in shower and a beautiful corner bath, very clean with lots of fresh white towels and plenty of toiletries.

The room was absolutely minuscule, so small that it sounded like anybody walking in the hallway was actually in the room. They offered no early check-in. All staff was quite friendly

very warm welcome by front desk accompanied with some general guidleines of finding our way around the town and a few suggestions for restaurants. Location was very central as only a short 5 minute stroll had us into the main square, but stll far enough away from the hustle & bustle to avoid any excessive noise. Rooms were refurbished to a good standard and compared with any other room I've had in most other cities in france, very spacious. Didn't avail of the breakfast on site as, out of habit, we alway tend to get into the town and find somewhere local to use, but the breakfast room looked well equipped and to the same high level as the rest of the hotel. Any staff I came into contact with were very polite and happy and spoke better english than I can speak French. Would definitely class the hotel as a worthwile & enjoyable stay and a definite place to use when going back to Toulouse.

I was only in Toulouse one day and made the most of it. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful in pointing out what I should do and see during my short stay there. Loved the town. Very interesting and a ton of history. I wish I would have had more time. This hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the train station or a 20 minute drive from the airport. Very convenient. About a 10 minute walk from the main street where there are many shops and cafes. It was on a quiet street and was very nice and clean.

All in all the room was great value for money! Would definitely stay there again. However the breakfast for an additional 8 euro was absolute rubbish, stocks were low and service was well below average at the breakfast, steer clear!

The Irquet is nice little family-run hotel, close ( 10 min walking distance) to the center of toulouse. The staff was friendly, the romm was nice and clean, and they offer a private parking in their courtyard. I would recommend this hotel!

We had the best welcome we have ever had in France from the hotel manager/owner. She was very kind, giving us a map, advice on where to find good restaurants, and generally very friendly and thoughtful. The room we had was a junior suite - it was huge, and the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in! The decor was modern and fresh, the en suite facilities were fabulous - shower and bath, two sinks seperate WC, and everything was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was served in a small dining area - self service - and was adequate. For a two star hotel, it was as plush as a 4 star. We travelled on and stayed in other hotels with higher ratings which came nowhere near the standard of Hotel Riquet. It really is worth a stay, and great value for money. We had thought that as it is near the railway station, it might have been in a run down part of town, but that is not the case. It is a few metres from the main road to the town centre and within easy walking distance from all of the towns attractions. Great restaurants nearby, the pictures, buses at hand, and metro. Perfect.

An excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is only a short walk from Toulouse Matabiau railway station and the airport bus, and only slightly further from the city centre with its wide selection of restaurants, shops and cafes. Highly recommended in general - we'll certainly want to stay again the next time that we're in Toulouse.

The hotel keepers are very kind and pleasant. However the one-people room is like a narrow corridor and the overall price/quality rate is not quite good. Furthermore there is no advantage to rent through internet, prices are the same with direct payment on site. Global advice: mixed feelings.

Hotel was in reality as it was pictured on website. Owners and employees were very helpful and friendly. Decor was "tres jolie". It was very convenient to the train station and for walking around the city of Toulouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, would stay there again, and would recommend it to others.

warm and friendly welcome. The room (one of those shown on the website) had recently been renovated and was nice and quite. As we were looking for a "Cassoulet" restaurant, the reservation was done for us by the employee, and the restaurant was really good. I recommand this hotel, which is also very near to everything in Toulouse.
