My wife & I had an excellent stay at Casolare di Libbiano. The B & B was very well kept, good food run by 2 very nice people. We had a hard time finding the B & B and when we called we were talking to someone who could give us directions in english and when we found the B & B not only were we warmly greated but the owners made us a very good home cooked meal.

Prices, very high, are not according with the sercice offered. We could not sleep due to the very low temperature in the room (it was cold because the heeter did not work properly, very low). We booked a suite (170 €) anf finaly was offered by the property another type of room with different price, 140 € instead 130 € as it was quoted in the web.

Amazing! We stayed here because of all the other wonderful reviews. We weren't disappointed. Everything about Casolare di Libbiano was perfect, even the other guests! The evening dinners were the best food we had during our two week trip. I'm waiting for the cookbook.

Visited Italy to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Stayed at Casolare di Libbiano midway in our two weeks there. We loved it. The owner/operators, Bertha & Andreas, were wonderful, helpful hosts. Good breakfast included, lunch was also available if one wanted and evening meals were offered (set menu) that were delicious. We opted to have dinner there every night. The location was great, only a few minutes from San Gimignano and within driving distance of many other interesting towns and the Tuscan vineyards. One slight problem was with laundry as the Casolare doesn't really have the best facilities for it. Suggest taking it into San Gimignano.

The setting is very Tuscan, i.e. rural, but within 10 kilometers of San Gemignano. The food was excellent! The appetizer, a ricotta tart, was the best dish we had in Italy! The dinner was the best value we found in our trip to Florence and surrounding area.

The location is an unexpected bonus down a gravel road.The welcoming staff were very effecient,friendly and gave a good tour of the property and explained the facilities,dining area ,pool area very competently.The accomodation was professionally presented,ready and clean.Any towels that needed changing were changed daily, en-suite bathroom cleaned daily. We had booked on a B&B basis but decided on having the optional evening meal (we have stayed before so we knew the standard of the cuisine and 5 years later we were not disappointed).The breakfast was a good Italian choice,cheese ,salami,hams,croissants,gorgeous coffee and fresh bread with butter and jam. The evening meals were excellent good variety beautifully cooked and presented. The owners Andrea and Berta explained all the dishes and their contents,they and their staff could not have been more helpful.They would also provide lunches,wine coffee,tea as requested by the pool or on the Patio. We cannot speak highly enough of the whole Casolare di Libbiano experience.We shall return.The added bonus of only a ten drive to San Gimignano.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights out of our 9 nights in Italy. This was the best place. Quiet/romantic/ just beautiful. The food was fresh, homemade and there was plenty of it.

My husband and I stayed at the Casolare di Libbiano for a week and found it to be the most wonderful place we have ever stayed - the hotel and setting were stunning. Berta and Andreas were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome with lots of advice about the best areas to visit. Our suite was fabulous - really spacious, full of art and antiques and with a large terrace facing the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The food, which we ate on the terrace by candlelight, was exquisite.I had a four course vegetarian meal prepared specially each night and never the same thing twice. My husband, who is not a vegetarian, enjoyed his meals equally as much. We felt it a privilege to be guests at the Casolare di Libbiano and will definitely return. Alan and Susan Lee

We loved Casolare di Libbiano! The only regret was that we only stayed one night. The hosts Berta and Andrea were great, the rooms were wonderful, and the food superb! We will definitely go back again.
