Excellent location but the room was in serious need of redecorating. It was clean but very tatty and therefore not good value. On a positive note, the staff were generally very freindly and helpful.

The hotel needs some renovation, the sheets smelled of mold, and there was no hot water, but prices are correct, location is great, it is close to everything, right in the middle of the city. If you do not like music, avoid it, though. It is right accross the street from the Casa de la Troba and the music is loud until late.

WHY AMI I FORCED TO RATE THINGS I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF (e.g. type and number of rooms available.) There should be a place in this questionnaire for no opinion!!! The main floor restaurant was closed. The buffet breakfast was good, but awful coffee and inconsistent ingredients. Not always ready at 7 am. The lobby bar was good along with the entertainment. One problem was that all electrical outlets in room are 220V (which is a problem for North American travellers.

Filthy, extremely noisy and way overated. The main restaurant may be well decorated by 1945's standards but the food was ....poor. The only bright sides: wonderful view from the top terrace and very good music performed (at times) on the street level terrace. Service poor (some waiters making you feel that you are not worth thier task!!!).

The Casa Granda is in a fabulous location, though the staff had a massive attitude problem. Service at the bar/restaurant was poor and the reception staff were reluctant and unwilling to help with any enquiries. The location was great and I'd recommend a stay here just for that, though it was let down by overall service.
