THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN price/QUALITY isVERY POOR .The room are small and the bathroom is in common with others guests. The house is near the railway , and u can hear the noise in the night and day time.

The casa nei pini proudly claims to be a "biological" b&b. The breakfast, however, was of the most ordinary supermarket quality, and there was nothing biological or ecological in the house. Poor and unpractical furniture in the bedroom; poor cleanliness: the shared bathroom was never cleaned during our 7 days stay. The house is located in a quiet neigbourhood, but there is much noise from inside the house. Furthermore: if you book throgh Venere.com and give your credit card details, you'll still have to pay cash, as the owner doesn't accept cards. Summary: too high price for too low quality.

A charming converted four bedroom house with a relaxed, familial atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and open, and we felt very comfortable in the shared areas of the house. The house is located in a residential area, away from the touristy areas, but only a 10min bike ride to the beach and pine forest. We strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy bed and breakfast not far from the beach. The walls between rooms are a bit thin, but really enjoyed the informality and in comparison to major hotels.

We stayed in a double room. That was our first and last case in that Casa. The location of the accomodation was absolutely different from the advertised. That is about 1 hour walk from the sea. Bikes were junks. If you saw the WEB page the separate bathroom wouldn't be clear enough. So you should use it with some other guys. (When we were there one of them vomited an hour between 3 & 4 o'clock) Anyway if you are not very keen on bio foods you should buy some eatable in the local shop. No any other chance only the bio. The French girl is helpful and friendly anyway.

The employees are very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The use the bikes for free was super. But the moskito are terrible and you need some chemical to kill them.

Staying at La Casa nei Pini is like staying over a friend's house who you don't know very well and have to share the bathroom with - a little awkward. Our room was adequate, but nothing special and the beds were not terribly comfortable. Our hostess Helene was lovely and informative (we never sighted the mysterious Maurizio) and she lent us bicycles and maps which were helpful. Breakfast was very nice - simple but tasty (all organic). La Casa nei Pini is not worth the money you pay for the room and is located well away from the main area of Viareggio - practically in the suburbs. To get in to town you need a car, to catch the bus or cycle.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From highway A12 Genova-Livorno or highway A11 Firenze Mare, take exit Viareggio and follow the indications to Marco Polo, Polizia stradale and then to Viareggio centro and the station. From the station go towards Torre del Lago, following via N.Pisano and via Vassalle until the traffic light at via Comparini, where Pizzeria Sombrero lies. Turn left and take the third right (via Moses Levy. The second house on the left is the B&B.

By train
From Viareggio railway station, take bus line 2 or 5 to the Sombrero stop, which is 100 metres from the B&B.

By airplane
Pisa airport is 20 km from the B&B. Take the train to Viareggio station and continue by bus.
