Bed & Breakfast Sorrento Holiday - Sant'Agnello Sorrento

We stayed in Sorrento Holiday whilst touring the whole of Itlay and were there for 4 nights. The welcome by the owner was lovely and through the whole stay she was extremely helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean and breakfast is simple but of a high quality. We had a very enjoyable stay! The only citicism would be that occasionally there was not enough hot water, but in the summer whan it is so hot in Sorrento, this is not really a problem!

On our arrival we were very dissapointed to not have been greeted by the owner Marcella with whom we corresponded with in regards to our reservations. The place is very very close to the train station in St.Agnello and our balcony was facing the train lines so every 15 minutes we had the pleasant view of a train going by. The place is actually situtated one train station before Sorrento so it's not actually close to the center. To get around you have to depend on your knowledge of reading a map because people are not as helpful there as we have found in other parts of Italy. When we asked the host for some help on our arrival day we were simply shown some books and maps. As far as facility usage in the place all you can do is go from your room the bathroom and back and along the way you can find plenty of reading material stuck on all the walls, doors and cupboards with messages telling you what you can and cannot touch and do. And that is pretty much everything! There are only 60 liters of hot water at a time and once that is used up you have to wait up to 2 hours for the water to warm up again. We have found that the other guests had first privelige and by the time we got to have a shower we got stuck having to wash our hair with cold water! We had to cut our stay short and needed to get in contact with the owner so we can finalize our stay and we tried calling her a few times but there was no answer. So we had to wait until the next morning which was the same day we had to leave for somebody to come in and fix the breakfast to actually speak to somebody. There are no beaches in Sorrento!!! All you can do is rent a chair for the day that is situated on concrete. All in all it was a very dissapointed experience. It is a beautiful place for couples and older people but defenetly not a group of friends kind of place! Lavina and Ligia

I stayed at the Sorrento Holiday with a friend. We both enjoyed the cleanliness and the welcome we received. We found very convenient to be at a walking distance from the train station. Our overall stay was very pleasant. I will go back without hesitation.
