Rosa was a most gracious host-couldn't do enough for us. The property was very convenient for visiting the Amalfi coast, Positano, Pompeii; was extremely clean, pretty and private. Truly a bargain. Our only criticism would be that at night, all of neighborhood dogs howl for hours, and that took some getting used to (but otherwise it was very quiet). Secondly, breakfast was a lovely experience, but on the light side compared to other B&Bs. Still a highlight of our vacation. We recommend Bed & Lemons to everyone!

Rosa and Giovanni were so very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even driving us down to the bus stop. Our only difficulty was actually finding the place. Easy once we knew the way. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to anyone. Peter and Christine Emery, Queensland. Australia.

This was a tremendous place to stay. We stayed in 14 B&B in europe in two months and thius was our favorite. The owner, Rosa could not do enough for my wife and I. She was wonderful.

This was a fabulous place is beautiful surroundings, although quite hard to get to, until you figure out the (very) confusing bus system. The facilities were great, and the hosts extremely friendly, however you will need your Italian here.

A lovely setting and wonderful to eat fresh grapes picked from the vine for our breakfast. Very helpful and welcoming hosts, Rosa was always on hand to provide us with a taxi service, which was extremely useful given the location. The only downside was the early morning competition between the barking of the farm dogs in the area and the cock crowing its heart out! But a lovely place to base outselves for a week.

I can add little to the comments made by previous reviewers in terms of the fantastic personal service Rosa & her husband Giovanni offer. Rosa, in particular, could not do enough for us & offered us several lifts in her car to & from Bus & train stations. I would unreservedly recommend B&L as a place to stay but advise the following: you do NEED to hire a car or scooter as the bus stops at the bottom of the road leading up to B&L & although not a long walk it is all uphill & in seering heat & after a long day, it can be very taxing! Note there is no air conditioning so if very hot it can be quite oppresive, even if sleeping with the balcony doors wide open. I think we were just unlucky as other reviewers found B&L quiet & tranquil. There was some sort of festival on in Sorrento when we arrived at the start of August as the first two nights sleep was disturbed by fireworks at midnight, this sparked off a chorus of dogs barking for ages & one night we even had some "Pavarotti" style Karoake king belting out some songs across the hillside! If you want to get away from the tourist areas & experince the real Italian culture B&L is highly recommended. Just by the church near the bus stop do not ignore the signs for Betania's restaurant. It is tucked away up a side street but we had 2 excellent meals there & it was the best value anywhere! Overall I am glad we stayed with Rosa & would recommend it if you don't mind walking & are a heavy sleeper! Thank you Rosa & Giovanni once again for your marvellous hospitality. My partner & I have very happy memories of our stay at Bed & Lemons.

bed and lemons was a beautiful place although not easy to find. upon arriving at piano de sorrento station we went to the pizza restaurant opposite and the young man who worked there (who turned out to be Rosa the owners son) telephoned his mum and she came and picked us and our luggage up. They are a lovely family who made us feel at home straight away. her husband Giovanni took time to show some of us around his lemon grove and various other parts of his home and explain his work. one of our group has to have a gluten free diet and rosa went to great trouble to ensure that everymorning there was something for him to eat. we would have no hesitation in going back to bed and lemons again we just wish we could pick it up and put it a bit nearer to sorrento.

Our stay at bed and Lemons was perfect. Rosa and her family made us feel part of their family. The location is on a hill in a lemon grove with a beautiful view of the Sorrento valley and the Gulf of Naples. The location is a bit isolated, but Rosa drove us back and forth each day to the train station in Piano di Sorrento. Rosa personally cooked breakfast for us. Note:if arriving by train from Naples get off at Piano di Sorrento, two stops before Sorrento. The location is only a short bus or train trip into Sorrento. Make sure you buy a bottle of thelemon flavored olive oil from Rosa, that is made from the lemons they grow. This place made our visit to Sorrento unique, highly recommended, thanks to Rosa and her family.

Bed and Lemons is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The location, although beautiful, surrounded by lemon groves with distant views of the Sea is a bit isolated from town, so I would recomend having a car. Rosa and Giovanni were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to return.

My Husband and I just returned from our trip to Italy and I must say that our stay at Bed and Lemons was one of the highlights of the trip. Rosa, the owner, was extremely gracious and accomodating. We brought my Mother in Law and her sister with us (both in their 70's). My Mother in Law hurt her knee and was having a very difficult time walking. So Rosa, or her husband Giovanni, took us into town every day and each evening she picked us up when we called. There was no way my mother in law could have made the walk into town each day. The shuttle service was way above the call of duty and very much appreciated. As previous visitors commented, the B&B was hard to find and was located up on the hillside on the outskirts of Piano de Sorrento. We took the train to Piano de Sorrento and called a cab from the Pizza place across the street (only restaurant in the vicinity of the train station). The Taxi driver got lost trying to find the B&B but called Rosa and got directions so it really wasn't too difficult after all. I would recommend having your driver do the same thing. It turns out that Rosa's son works at the Pizza parlor and he helped us call her for rides too. The B&B was immaculate and the grounds were lovely. One caution. If you want to be in the hub of things, this is not the place for you. It is very quite and a bit of a hike to get anywhere as it is located in a very residential area.

We were veryhappy with our choice of Bed and Lemons. Rosa was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem we had was finding it at the start but the previous reviews helped us a lot there. We would happily return for another stay.

Bed and Lemons is probably the nicest place to stay if you choose B&B in the Sorrento-area. The owners, Rosa and Giovanni, do everything to make your stay comfortable: providing maps, tourist information, lifts to the train station or getting you anything you might wish for breakfast are just a few of their "services". And where else can you have jam made from the gardens lemons and oranges? All in all, staying in Bed and Lemons feels like home. We will definitely go back there.

Bed and Lemons was the most beautifulplace we stayed on our entire two week visit to Italy. We had a two room suite with a porch. The location was in the middle of a lemon orchard and was very peaceful. The host did not speak English and we didn't speak Italian, but we managed to communicate. I wish we had been able to stay for a longer time. It is a little difficult to find. I would recommed that precise directions be provided when someone makes a reservation.

We arrived mid afternoon and the owners were in, which was fortunate as we didn't have the phone number to contact them beforehand. As we didn't have a car we got a taxi from the train station at Piano di Sorrento (€10) however the taxi driver didn't even know where the road was!! Our appartment was huge and well-equipped and the owners friendly. However they speak no English and as my Italian isn't much better my phrase book was invaluable! Alsthough the place itself was fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend it, if you don't have a car (or scooter!) it's a long steep walk up from the town centre and nearest pizzeria (Betania - which we would also highly recommend. There is an excellent train service from Piano di Sorrento to Sorrento, Pompei and Naples and Sorrento is the ideal spot for anyone wanting to escape the tourist traps of Sorrento, yet have it and places like POmpei near to hand. There is also a very small beach and some great shops, cafes and markets in the town.

My wife and I stayed at Bed and Lemons for three nights but we wished we were there for longer! Before we had even arrived we were optimistic about our stay there because of the positive reviews already written about it on venere.com and the fact that Rosa and Giovanni had taken the trouble to personally email us with instructions to telephone them on our arrival at the Railway Station when they would collect and take us in their car back to the accommodation. Bed and Lemons is situated on the outskirts of Piano di Sorrento within its own extensive lemon orchard and is not the easiest of places for a visitor to locate. However true to her word Rosa picked us up from the station and we were soon at the house where we were offered cold drinks and shown to our accommodation. Bed and Lemons is quite a large house and our room (or should I say rooms) were on the ground floor. We had our own large living room, dining table ,chairs, refrigerator and TV. This led off to the comfortable and large double bedroom and the shower room with washbasin. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The front door of our accommodation opened on to a patio area where you could just sit and relax in the evening. Because of the remote location it was very peaceful at all times and guests should respect this tranquility. Rosa or Giovanni took us into the town in the mornings by car after we had enjoyed an ample breakfast and once there it was relatively easy to take the bus or train (excellent value) to wherever you wished to go. If you returned to Piano di Sorrento in the evening by bus and got off at the crossroads on the edge of the town (which Rosa described in detail) it was an easy 13 minute walk back to Bed and Lemons. Overall our stay here was really enjoyable - Bed and Lemons is not just a bed and breakfast - you are actually staying in a large villa residence in the country whose owners make every attempt to ensure your days there are pleasant ones.

Everything was fine at Giovannis and Rosas home. Thank you very much again for the hospitality when we arrived late and hungry. Just one point: There is little chance to find the property with the information provided. If we hadn't the landlords phone number and he picked us up downtown and guided us to his house we would have to sleep somewhere else. The contact by phone was in general no problem but the landlords english was poor and the communication per telefone about where to meet can become difficult even with the nicest people. A detailed map is absolutely mandatory.

The Lady owner was very nice, she spoke less English than we spoke Italian. We were there for 5 nights and neither the towels or the sheets were changed in that time. The breakfast was very basic and too sweet; but we accept that perhaps that is the norm in Italy. These are in ours eyes realatively minor points and did not diminish the enjoyment of our holiday

A very kind retired Italian couple owns and runs this bed and breakfast. Their hospitality is beyond words. Aside from preparing breakfast for us each day during our stay, they also allowed us to borrow local train schedules, they drove us to the train station when we needed to go there, and were also very flexible about breakfast-time -- when you wanted to eat, is when the breakfast would be ready. One should be sure to call the place upon arrival in Piano di Sorrento, preferrably from the train station, for Bed and Lemons is located on a street whose buildings do not have well labeled addresses. But once there, enjoy Rosa's hospitality, and don't forget to stop by pizzarias and ice cream shops on the nearby streets -- you will find no cheaper food than at these places. Day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum are easily managed from Piano di Sorrento, as are trips to the coast, or Naples. If we could do our own trip over again, we would have stayed there longer!

Our stay at Bed and Lemons was fantastic. The room had access to big terrace, the hosts were very nice and the location is absolutely wonderful - in the middle of a lemon plantation. There is only one problem, namely how to find it. As there was no sign on the road and no house with the corresponding number we searched for hours. Finally, we asked a friendly Italian who knew the family and drove us to the house (which we would never have found without her).

We really enjoyed staying here and would love to again. Our room was a small apartment with a single bed, double bed (in the living room) kitchen, bath room (shower only), small patio and large shared patio. The room was very clean and very quiet! There is a nice view of the sea and surrounding hills. The house is in a lemon orchard that is 'off the main drag' approx 1 mile from the city center. Breakfast is taken in the family's kitchen with other guests, fresh expresso/ caffe latte, sweet rolls, juice and yogurt. There is parking available (free) at the home. They do not accept credit cards and speak very limited English, but they are very friendly and will try their hardest to make you comfortable. 'Bed and Lemons' is very had to find, there are NO SIGNS! The street is labeled, however none of the homes are numbered and even the 'buzzer/call' box does not have 'Bed and Lemons' on it. A kind stranger helped us find it, even late at night! Directions for your stay: From the SS145 in Piano di Sorrento- Take the SS163 (Will be labeled Amalfi Coast) inland, and uphill. You will go through a traffic circle, past a church and signs for Betania Ristorante, stay on the SS163. Shortly there after Via San Liborio will angle off to the right. (It's only about 1.6 km from the SS145 to San Liborio.) Ignore the 'Do Not Enter' sign, but drive carefully as the road is narrow and there is a school. Go past the school. You will see another Do Not Enter sign and the road curves to the right, turn right. Their gate is on the right hand one at the end of the road, buzz the call box to enter.

One remark: I think its necessary to give a short explanation to find the Location in Piano. The best would be to show a map of Piano di Sorrento and mark the address. Because it is difficult to ask the people if you are not so familiar with the Italian language like me. We were very very happy with the location "Via San Liborio 11" at Rosetta and Giovanni Coppola!!!
