Nice clean and spacious room. Front room with nice balcony overlooking the main street which is traffic free after 20h.Excellent location, closeby to restaurants, ferry and trainstation. Not for people with walking difficulties though, it's three flights up and there's only a luggage lift. We would definitely come back here if we would return to Sorrento.

Very nice place! Good position in Sorrento centre. Recommended to young people because the rooms are on 3rd floor without lift.

Fantastic choice: excellent location in town, large, neat room. Would appreciate a bit better breakfast for the price though. But not a problem, will definitely return to the hotel, hopefully soon! thank you

location is wonderful once you find it - the narrow streets with unfamiliar numbering system makes it difficult to find the first time. it's a 3 story walk-up (6, if you count the landings) but there is a lift for luggage. triple room was tight but comfortable. breakfast coupons provided for a choice of two coffee bars (one of which denied our coupons) but the other was close by and enjoyable.

Really nice place to stay and in a great location.

A great place to stay in Sorrento, only 100 meters from the central Tasso square and in the historical centre. Also central to port to Capri, Napels, etc. and trains/buses and across a famous icecream shop. Breakfast is at a bar and a bit poor, but seems typical and for small money you can have some extra. Friendly people almost everywhere. There are many stairs in Sorrento, so also in the house, you go up 3 floors, but there is a luggage hoist. Room at the front is quiet when window and blinds are closed. Frontroom has a nice view on the street from the balcony. Overall great atmosphere.

we were so lucky to find this place. it is right in the center of the Piazza Taso. very charming. since we were 4 girls we rented the quad room and it was very very spacious, clean, large bathroom, and balcony. i would definitely recommend Palazzo Starace to anyone!!!

Very impressed with the location, quality and cleanliness of the property. The Breakfasts provided could be obtained from one of two cafes in Sorrento (v.near the B&B)which we thought was a good touch.

This was great place to stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable with an AC unit to keep you cool. A little Mini Bar with very cheap prices was an added bonus. Very handy for a little beer or bottle of water late at night when you needed it. Only one criticism and that is the noise level. However, when you stay in a hotel that is so central to everything then you will get some noise. Being right in the middle of the town with access to everything was worth the noise. The owners of this establishment are extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a little difficult to find but if you decide to stay here you will most likely arrive by train. From the train station head to the main square Piazza Tasso, from here head down the Corso Italia (the main street). Once you are on this street the Palazzo Storace is just up the first wee alley on the left - right across the road is a sign for Hotel Corso. Also on the street at the start of the alley is a little stall selling inlaid wood products. We really enjoyed or stay here and would really recommend it to anyone wanting a central location for their stay on Sorrento. We would definitely stay here again.

excellent location only 5 mins from station and couple mins from main bus stops. Only problem for people with mobility problems is it is on the top floof of a 3 storey building and no lift ( pulley for luggage though). Otherwise this is great B & B in gteat location

Sorrento is beautiful and Palazzo Starace is located on the main street of town, very easy to find, and about 5 minutes walk from the Circumvesuviana. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again! While this didn't affect my stay, there is no lift, so be prepared to climb some stairs (there is a baggage lift though).

This was a great place to stay in Sorento. It is located on the main street in Sorento and our room overlooked the street. Our room had an outside balcony with a couple of chairs and small table which was nice for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The rooms size and furnishings were more than adequate. We enjoyed the proprietor and her daughter who were very helpful and friendly. It is located close to the train station....within walking distance depending on how much luggage you have. The only draw back which was not a problem for us is that the Palazzo is on the 5th floor with no elevator. There is a hoist for the luggage so leave your luggage in the entry way at the bottom of the stairs. They will lower the hoist for the luggage. All in all we enjoyed our stay there very much and would not hesitate to stay there again! The only thing different about the reservations is that they required one nights deposit up front. They want a bank transfer but accepted a bank check instead.

The apartment was fantastic and very close to the centre of Sorrento. The staff were very pleasant and accomodating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone else wishing to stay in central Sorrento.

The accommodation was going throught remodeling. I believe we had the only room available at the time. I wish we had known that this B&B was on the 5th floor, without a lift available. There weren't too many "services" and "facilities" available. There were no "public areas". The location on the other hand was great.

Excellent location and very clean. The room did have some noise from the street but that is a tradeoff being located justoff the main street- not the fault of the property.

The room is quite clean and the location is good. The breakfast is served in 2 different cafe - Cappucino and croissant. Delicious but still hungary after the breakfast.

I would highly recommend Palazzo Starace to anyone visiting the Sorrento area. The accomadations were excellent, the people very helpful and friendly and the location perfect for the Amalfi Coast.

Sorrento is the best place to base an exploration of the Amalfi coast and nearby islands. Palazzo Starace is a safe, clean, low cost place to stay. My only reservation would be for people who have trouble with stairs, it is 4 floors up without an elevator. (They do have a lift for your baggage.) We would definitely recommend this place to friends.

A very very well kept and clean pensione. Our hostess was very kind and helpful. We stayed 3 nights in March and I strongly recommend Palazzo Starace. It has 3/4 rooms that are all well maintained (like new).

very central position and quiet. floors in rooms are not carpeted and are quite cold in early spring. Breakfasts are served in local cafes nearby and don't amount to much. Very friendly and helpful proprietor. all in all a good spot.

I would definitely recommend the Palazzo Starace -- great, comfortable place to stay, terrific location right in the center of town, and the people are terrific. Remember: you need to pay with cash! Knowing that before you go will help you plan. I knew because of this website!

We were pleased with the accomodation on the whole. A small map of the location on the web site would have been helpful on arriving in Sorrento. A telephone, a hairdryer and a fridge would have been welcome additions in the room.We were made very welcome.
