The Residence Le Fornaci takes the name from the farm "Le Fornaci", in fact the residence once was the country property's housing place. A careful search has revealed that denomination "Le Fornaci" is due to the way the building was used in the past. In the beginning of the XIVth century the name "Le Fornaci" is still present along the way that exits from Porta San Matteo, it appears many times in documents. Coming from Middle/South of Italy, from "Autostrada del Sole". To take the highway A1 for Milano. Exit to the highway Valdichiana. Cover the highway for Siena. Arrived in Siena follow the indication Firenze 4 lane highway. Exit in Poggibonsi Nord. Follow the indication for San Gimignano.
Coming from Pisa airport: Follow signs: S.G.C. Firenze (Arterial road to Florence) Empoli Owest (West). Exit.
Follow signs for Siena, up to Certaldo. When you are in Certaldo follow signs for San Gimignano.
Coming from Florence Airport: From the Airport follow the indication for Siena. To take the highway for Siena 4 lane highway. Exit in Poggibonsi Nord. Follow the indication for San Gimignano.
