This was a great location near the Vatican. Arranged for prompt pick up at FCO airport. Breakfast was prompt and plentiful, choosing the night before what you wanted. TV was only in Italian, no CNN World. On top floor, so you get exercise. Cafe's around B&B were very good, close to bus stop. Enjoyed our stay immensely, and would highly recommend! The location was great you are a couple of steps from the Vatican. The hardest part was getting directions there. But if you go to the vatican you are less then a mile away! We really enjoyed our stay. Every evening we would go down to the restaurant for a drink we were greeted by the same waiter it was really cool. I would visit again.

It's fantastic, when yu want to see the Vatican. You can be the first in the long queue :-)
Or for running and walking. There is a long and bautiful walk path at the river.
The room where we stayed was big and clean and I could sleep very good in the bed. So I suppose it must be a good matress :-)
Don't expect too much from the breakfast. it's not a typical yumie italien breakfast, but it serves its purpose.
We had a great time and people who are working there are very customer orientated. We asked for a tea they didn't have it so he went to a supermarket to buy it for us. That's fantastic.

We had some difficulty recognizing the place because it has no sign. You need to ring a doorbell which is all but hidden from view. Also, we did not expect to have to carry suitcases up 4 long flights of stairs, but once there the space was very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great for visiting St. Peter's and Vatican City and bus transportation is just up the street. We had lunch at the sidewalk cafe out front, and enjoyed it very much.

You should print your paper work before coming here. The B&B was in a great location. It is half a block from St. Peters Basilica and Vatican City with the Sistine Chapel. It was a 5 min. walk from Castel Sant' Angelo that you can get amazing pictures from atop.
It's about a 15 min. walk to Piazza Navona which is really fun, it was my favorite square. The other sites are not that far. We walked the whole time and it was fine. As far as dining try and find places down abandoned streets because the places out in the open are really expensive and not good for your money. We ate at Le Sorelle and it was great. Great food and ambiance.

My wife and I had a great stay at Alle Fornaci a San Pietro this past weekend. Serena sent us an email confirming everything and gave us her cell number for emergencies. Bon was there to greet us when we arrived and provided refreshments after a long flight (thank you, Bon!) We loved the neighborhood with lots of cafes, great food, and friendly staff and residents.
We got used to life in Rome very quickly by enjoying lots of walking, and Bon's fitness equipment (walking up and down the stairs!) Dining after 8PM and staying out late enabled us to get some good sleep after the street noise calms down (after midnight, usually.)
We will certainly be back to visit again, and thanks to Bon and Serena for such a pleasant stay!!

Klimaanlage vorhanden,Kein Balkon/Terrasse.
Betten bequem.Einzel- und Doppelbetten.
Zimmer liebevoll eingerichtet m. Stereoanlage und TV. Strassenlärm, hört man aber Nachts wenig. Tagsüber schon.
Tip: Restaurant: "La Vittoria" gegenüber von B&B.

It was a nice stay and the place was as advertised but be alert of thieves even in this area of Rome. It happened to us in the hallway of the B&B though not by fault of the B&B. It really is an excellent location to get out and see the city! I can recommend it to anyone who can walk up a few flights of stairs!

This place is fantastic! We have stayed here before, in 2003 and it was just as good now as it was then. Convenient to Vatican City, Trastevere and a walk or short bus ride to other Rome sights or the train station. The rooms are cool - very contemporary with a selection of music/movies (mostly Italian, but some English) and great art/decor. The breakfast was not superb, but was adequate and very typical of Italian breakfast - coffee (specify cappucino or espresso), prepackaged pastries/ toast and some kind of juice drink. We don't mind the stairs, but be forewarned that the apartment is on the 4th or 5th floor and there is no lift/elevator. The view, however is great! You won't be disappointed with a stay here in this fantastic city!

The facilities ideal for a short stay in Rome.
The staff very helpfull and freindly. The Taxi pick-up service from the Airport was excellent and I would reccomend. My Wife and I had a good 25th Wedding Anniversary thanks to all at the B&B. We would use the it again.

Ok well first +ves, b&b was very clean :) lots of stairs to run up on the first day with me carrying 2 suitcases... not a + lol... In all honesty, b&b was fine however it was kind've a little creepy, and for example the first thing we did when we arrived was look for hidden cameras.... it really felt like u were staying in someone else's room who'd just moved out so u could be there... it even had their cd collection and random italian videos (yet no video recorder), and photos in picture frames in the room that were obviously of the previous occupier had been left behind... The guy who ran the b & b was mostly courteous if a little creepy, and seemed a little like Fester from the Adams family, especially when he awoke us with his cry of Breaaaaaaaakfast.
I don't mean to sound completely negative as the location was great and the place was spotlessly clean, it was just a tad creepy for us... G & E UK

Very nice place, we had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent, although the street is quite noisy and the metro station is a good 15 minute walk (but the bus stop is just around the corner). It should be stated in the website that the rooms are on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Overall we were very satisfied and will go back if we have the chance

From the moment we were met (by prior arrangement) at the airport to the moment we (reluctantly) left Rome, we were very happy with our choice of accommodation. Even the four flights of marble stairs were a good training for climbing the steps to the top of St Peter's Dome. We would willingly recommend this B&B to anybody travelling to Rome. We would also choose to stay here again whenever we return, which will hopefully not be too long.

WE had a very nice stay during Easter. We stayed in the room with private bathroom and a view to Saint Peters. The room was very well appointed and equipped with tv and a stereo. Also a varied library with a lot of interesting titles (in Italian)were there. The breakfast was plentiful but perhaps a little on the sweet side and there was freshly made cappucino.
The service was friendly.

The place was very clean, and the room really spacious. The B&B has three rooms, one of them with views to S.Peters Basilica, which was really nice. This one was our room.
We receive the breakfast in the bedroom each morning, which was not excellent but enough.
Each bedroom has its own bath (one room inside and the other two rooms outside).
The location of the B&B was really good (3 minutes to S.Peter´s Square).
Only one note: the B&B is located in a fourth floor with no lift.
Saving this last inconvenient, the price/quality is really good.

The flat is very funky and modern and a great place to stay to visit Rome as everything is within reasonable walking distance. One thing that isn't apparent on the website is that the free parking is actually on the street, if there is a space available! We ended up getting a parking ticket so had to pay that as well as paying to park on a meter during the day. We were a bit disappointed that breakfast is not served in the "room with a view" as suggested, but its brought to your room on a trolley so you don't get to enjoy that spectacular view over a cup of coffee in the morning. All in all though, we would recommend the B+B as it is very clean and well presented.

We stayed three nights at Alle Fornaci.
The location was very good for visiting San Peter's square. It's a bit of a longer walk to other sights, however, there are plenty of buses downstairs if you get tired of walking.
The breakfast was very basic, dry cereal and functional bread & juice. Don't stay here if your expecting a great breakfast.
The rooms are sizeable, clean & comfortable. Key drawbacks, our beds were two seperate single beds, Serena didn't accomodate us when we asked for a double or queen.
The bathrooms are not adjoined to the room, however, this was only a minor inconvenience.
Internet, we were allowed free access to the internet. This was a nice bonus, we were able to research places to see and send e-mail to friends.
Overall, nice artistic flair & decor - A la Miro. A good value for the money. Clean and well maintained, a safe bet.

We stayed three nights at "Alle Fornaci a San Pietro", and we liked it a lot. The owner of this B&B place, Serena Panella, was very helpful and friendly, and provided us with all information we needed. In addition to breakfast, we were provided with refrigerated drinks, tea and coffee.
To mention is that this B&B place is located in a huge private apartment on the fourth floor in a nice old building, which requires some energy to climb up the stairs, especially with luggage. But nevertheless the rooms are tastefully furnished, with a lot of originality, so that one can feel relaxed in the whole property.

The 'Landlady' acts a little bit strange. She had nearly no time to welcome us, just to get the money. She came in on our last morning when we talked really in a nice atmosphere with a couple coming from the netherlans and said nearly hello, but took the cups from the desk because we were 10 minutes too late with having breakfast (because we talked with the other couple). Meeting people is interesting when u have b&b. But this is -in my view- no B&B because the Landlady is never in and is not interested in the guests. The rooms are really nice. Breakfast you have to make on your own and is really poor.

This is a lovely B&B. The location is great and we have been able to walk to all the main attractions of Rome. The Colliseum was a bit far, but, we love to walk anyway.
The room is very comfortable and very clean... we could have eaten on the floor. Breakfast was ok, not very good. But I consider it the only weakness of that place.
I would definatly go back if we return to Rome someday!

We enjoyed the warm and hospitable welcome after being picked up from the airport by taxi. A convenient much appreciated service, bookable at owner Serena. Having your own frontdoor key provides freedom as wel as that extra special feeling of belonging and making you feel at home. That is the beauty of the B&B formular! Alle Fornaci is a lovely, helpful, comfortable and convenient place to stay. Allthough the 99 steps to the fourth floor were a wonderful exercise for us, we feel that this might be crucial information for the not so fit, and should be mentioned on the website. Fresh rolls and an electric watercooker would make breakfast even more enjoyable. See you next year Serena, Nan en Nel

We only spent 2 days in Rome and the location of Alle Fornaci a San Pietro was ideal. We were able to walk to see all the main tourist attractions and it was lovely returning to the apartment at night and walking by St. Peter's. What a memorable stay in Rome!

Thank you Serena (owner)!

We were very pleased with our stay. The night we arrived in Rome, we arranged through the B&B owner to have someone come to the airport to pick us up. Our flights were all messed up and to top it off, the airline lost our luggage and it took a long time to get that straightened out. The person who was picking us up was not put out at all - even though they (the owner actually came with him) had to wait for us for over an hour.
The location is *excellent* - about a 2 minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica. The B&B was located on the 4th floor, and required climbing a ton of steps to get to - so if you are severely out of shape you will be in shape by the time you leave!! :-)
The entire apartment was extremely clean. Our room was roomy and had a nice TV, stereo and DVD player as well as a ton of CD's and moves - but it's not of real use unless you are fluent in Italian. Our bathroom was across the hall and was again, meticulously clean.
Breakfast was good - except it got old after 4 days. The kitchen has an excellent view of the basilica.
The owner of the B&B, Serena was extremely helpful telling us about the bus line and anything else we needed. Her English was good enough to tell us what we needed to know.
We would definitely recommend Alle Fornaci a San Pietro. For the price, you can't beat it!

Very nice looking rooms having excellent audio systems. Friendly and helpful staff. Smoking in public areas was a bit annoying (as we don't smoke). With the same amount of money you may also find a 3 star hotel room, so this might be a little overpriced (but on the other hand the quality was very good). We certainly can recommend the place.

A totally GREAT experience! The ONLY negative aspect of the accommodations were the 99 steps that you had to climb to get to the room...but it was certainly worth it!

The location is very good and access to the Railway station via direct bus is also a plus.
The map showing the location is not detailed enough, which meant we needed to walk along several wrong streets before we found the right one.
