b&b - interior
A very good friend of mine, who recently decided to convert his beatiful home into a bed and breakfast, asked me to write few lines to describe his appartment. I didn't hesitate before accepting.
This conversion has cost him a good deal of effort: doing up the rooms, plumbing, rewiring, plastering. But now there are two guests rooms and they both with beautifully hand-painted doors, television, telephone and ceiling fan.
I've only been allowed into these rooms once: Gp is a very tidy person and that part of the house is out of bounds. Perhaps even his dog, Goedel, possibly the best natured dog in the world, no longer remembers that part of the house, it being months since he last set paw there.
The metro is under Gp home, and then the first guests arrived. Certainly Gp has gaven them a hot welcome with his tasty breakfast which he always does with great passion (Babette always comes to mind). But I do know that one thing above all dazzled them: out of the window, the gaze is free to take in the wonderful panorama, an extraordinary view of Rome, beautiful and stretching out over the rooftops. "The rooftops of Rome".

I Tetti di Roma was VERY clean and well maintained. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, the bathroom was spotless too. Gianpaulo was very helpful. I could not have been happier with my stay. I would definately recommed it to any traveler. It was comfortable and easy access to all the sites. I would definately stay here again!

I didn't meet anybody. It was very quiette.( but outside is very noisy !) It's like our appartment. So it was good for us. That was the first time to stay there.

We have had a great time staying at this apartment. I would recommend it to everyone! It's in the centre of Rome. Clean rooms. The welcoming was perfect.

we were surprised at first that the property was an apartment in a building but were really pleased when we got inside with the layout of the flat. the room although basic was spacious, nicely designed bathroom(shared).the room was kept clean regularly every couple of days. the only complaint was the noise, but this is nothing to do with the flat itself. do check as there are building works in the street and it gets very noisy even on the 8th floor! there is a great cafe Pompi round the corner specialised in tiramisu, this only is worth it! best tiramisus ever! overall, good B&B for the price and good location.

Though Gianpaolo no longer makes his "famous" breakfasts, our stay was still quite wonderful. I Tetti di Roma was easily the best place we stayed at in our 2 week trip in Europe.

I Tetti di Roma is a very friendly and nice bed&breakfast. It is close to the city (about 5 min by bus to the colosseum) and close to the main station (termini). Gianpaolo and his girlfriend were very friendly and helped us with any information we desired. The rooms are clean, every second day we got new towels. The very comfortable bath has to be shared with the guests from one other room, but it was very clean anyway. During the night it was rather noisy because the room faces the road. But as the b&b is in the 8th floor it was not too bad. In the end a b&b that we can recommend to everyone.

I have to say that we were looking forward to our stay in Rome. We were very happy with this property and would definitely suggest it to anyone looking for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The host Gianpaolo, was welcoming and friendly, and had a wealth on information about how to get around and where to eat in Italy. Contrary to his comments, his english is very good and he was extremely patient whilst we tested our very limited Italian on him. He and his partner have a lovely apartment and an exceptionally friendly dog. Breakfast was supplied by a bar around the corner and was pleasant. All together a fabulous exprience, will would definitely stay here again!!

Great place to stay, highly recommended. The owner gianpaole is very nice and speaks good English. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast in a nearby cafe was included. The area isnt the best but there is a metro stop and buses nearby to take you to the centre. Great value for money. The one downside was the noise- traffic and Church bells woke me each morning.

Why we think price vs.quality is not excellent: one bathroom for 2 rooms (4 persons) no place to leave your backpack; only one (rocking) chair in the room; no table to write a note; too noisy at night (can't leave the window open).

It was an excllent stay at the I tetti di Roma! We thought that it would be a bit too loud, but it was ok. The bathroom is clean and the view from the room is excellent! All in all I can really recommend the B&B I tetti di Roma!

I enjoyed the stay at the apartment facing "Re di Roma" square, 2 minutes away from the tube station and bus stop connecting to EUR, and 5 minutes from bus stop connecting to the city centre. The owner of the flat was very friendly and helpful. If you come by car, bear in mind that parking is a nightmare during peak hours (8-20), but public transport represents a viable alternative. My bedroom was very spacious, with an extra bed for a third person. Towels were provided. Enjoy.

Location was convenient to transport and shops. There was a broad view from the window of the room we stayed in (there are two) though what you are looking at isn't all good. The host, Gianpaolo, was very helpful and reasonably competent with English. There was a lift and security was good. There was plenty of room in the shared bathroom and the place was kept clean daily by a maid. We felt it was good value for accommodation in Rome.

Good hosting. Very good location (really close to a undergroung station). Please note that that 2 rooms share the same bathroom (it is not clearly specified on the web-site); anyway, we never notice the presence of the other guest. Big dog lives in the flat.
