Extremely noisy environment with a busy street on one side, rail tracks on the other, and a major crossing with a major road nearby. Strong traffic all night. We hardly slept, and left after one night. Breakfast was rather poor quality. The owner was friendly, and rather apologetic about the noise, and did not object to us paying for only one night, though we had booked 4. Not value for money, in particular in comparison with other small hotels in the area that we know (but that were fully booked - that's how we ended up at Monsieur Verdoux).

This was the best B & B we stayed at in Europe. Any shortcomings were overcome by the hospitality of our host. From his rising early to make us a espresso each morning to taking us to the best little lunch place in Rome, Gennaro could not have done more. The location is great to access all of Rome by bus or train. There are plenty of places to eat and sights to see. Don't forget to vist the foreigner's cementry behind the Pyramid. If you want to experience Rome as well as see the sights this is the place.

ho trovato la struttura esattamente come l'avete descitta e presentata voi; il prezzo potrebbe essere piu' modico, ma credo che si allinea con le tendenze di Roma; la stanza era rumorosa,il proprietario ospitale al massimo e chiaccherone. Al b&b ci ha accompagnato un ns. conoscente di Roma e mi e'sembrato esagerato nel ribadire che non poteva piu'salire per tutto il tempo del ns soggiorno. Non vedo perche'io non possa far sa- lire con me un accompagnatore,se devo prendere qualcosa in stanza, se mi devo preparare per uscire o semplicemente per aspettarmi, nei luoghi comuni,anzicche' in strada.

The host was very very nice. Enjoyed talking to us about anything and knew his way around the city! He took us out to eat our last night there and showed us around a little bit. The room was very spacious and pretty quiet with the shudders closed. Facilities were well cleaned and stocked. Right next to the 23 bus line, and a two minute ride to the metro Piramide station. This was the best place I stayed in Italy.

The owner could not have been more helpful. He gave us maps and indicated where to go so that we saw more of Rome in one day than we might have in several if we had been relying on guide books.
