4 Quarti was not a great experience for us. The room was lovely and spacious and location was good. The only thing is that no-one was around to ask anything. We arrived about 11am and after buzzing doorbell and being kept waiting in the foyer for 10 mins someone let us in to our room and then left us alone for 20 mins without a word. Someone else eventually arrived, saying "here are your room keys, breakfast served at this time" and that was it! No welcome, no map, no recommendations of local places, no instructions on how to use the phone in our room or the hotel safe. We never saw anyone else running the place during our stay apart from the slightly sullen maid. The last day we were leaving about 7.30am so the night before I was ringing and ringing the number to let them know we wanted breakfast early and we also needed to pay the room bill. She never returned my call and then when I saw her later she said that it was ok and I should pay tommorrow morning. The next morning we asked to pay and was told that they don't accept credit cards. Maybe it would have been useful to know this before we had to rush around to catch an early train? So I ran to nearest bancomat fuming. Not impressed. Rooms are wonderful and location is good but if you have never been to Palermo before or don't speak fluent Italian, I would not recommend this place to stay. This is just a room, it is not a proper bed and breakfast.

Easy to find on main road although unaware of any traffic noise. Good location. very warm welcome from lovely people who could not do more to help. Rooms quite elegant and clean, all a little different from each other; some are brighter, some have bath or shower only. All in all a very pleasant stay.
