La camera é molto spaziosa e carina, pulita e silenziosa. Colazione compresa. Vicinissimo alle mura, si puo arrivare a piedi in 5 minuti. Buona accoglienza e gentilezza dello staff. Contentissima di aver alloggiato in questa struttura.Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Pretty much what we expected at this price (58.33 Euro per night through Venere.com for 3 nights B&B). From the map on the web-site it took a few wrong turns to find it simply due to the scale of that map - the easiest directions are to leave the city walls between Baluardo San Pietro and Baluardo San Salvatore at the end of Via Della Quarqoinia, cross the Viale G. Marconi at the pedestrian crossing, go straight ahead following the side of the footbal stadium, and at the t-junction turn right: it's about 100m down on the right (or from the train station turn right along the main ring road until you reach Viale Castruccio Castracani, turn right onto that and it's the second left and about 50m down on the left). The pre-packed continental breakfasts were fine, from our perspective the only thing to be aware of is the surprisingly busy side street it was on, and we had the room on the front ground floor which was probably the worst for road noise - but still not too bad. All in all though I'd have no hesitation recommending it and would stay there again if we wanted something in that price range - a good base for exploring Lucca.

We enjoyed our stay so much we extended by 4 nights. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants quite rooms in a quiet location. It is a very short walk to the old city, and about 15 min walk from the train station. Although taxis are available, we found the distance ok and used Lucca as our base to make day trips to Florence, Pisa, Pistoia and Pescia. The bathrooms are new and spotless. Some nice restaurants and pizzerias are close by. Also the supermarket if you want to self cater is only a 5 minute walk.

The room was adequate, but the breakfasts were poor. The food was prepackaged, and not fresh. The eating space was limited. This was the only place we stayed not expressly recommended by Rick Steves, and it was a disappointment.

hello, thanks venere for finding this good B&B - rooms are very,very clean , spacious, very complete, new - welcomming a little cold - price (55€ october) very good - not too far from doors of lucca city (7min at foot) - breakfast not too bad but international style (all in plastic) you can eat in town " tratoria da leo"= exelent

Butterfly is situated only a few steps from the city wall. The room was very nice and clean, and the air conditioning and the TV worked nicely. Butterfly has a lovely garden for the guests.

I was very positively surprised of the children bed provided. - On the down side, breakfast is rather spartanian.

We found Butterfly b&b very nice - clean spacious modern room with air conditioning and a nice bathroom. The host was helpful and there was a kitchen with mineral water on tap and guests may use the facilities. However, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. This was our only complaint. There was a wonderful gelateria/cake shop very close to the b&b called "la bonta" which we would highly recommend!

Nice B&B just outside of Lucca. It was the cheapest room we could find and the quality was totally fine. We even booked a room with a shared bathroom but got a private one.

A good basic pensione with spacious, clean shared bath just outside the city walls (5 minute walk). Good for those traveling by car who want to stay close to the historical center but not drive into it. Free parking for one car in the pensione's driveway. One room looked onto a cute light-filled garden. but the other room faced the street and traffic noise.

Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Unica pecca se si hanno bambini: non vicinissimo al centro di Lucca, raggiungibile comunque a piedi.
