I had a wonderful stay at Merlyn Court! I stayed for five nights and I was very pleased by the service and hospitality offered by the staff. They were kind and thoughtful and made my stay that much better. The area is lovely - just off the Earl's Court station in a quiet neighborhood - and the hotel itself is a calm, soothing environment. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and everything was in working order. I will definitely stay there next time I'm in London!

I stayed 3 nights w/ my 2 school aged children. The room was very small, but had clean beds and a bathroom, as well as a window with fresh air and plenty of natural light. I would say the biggest lack was in breakfast. I'm all for keeping things simple, but Muslix, toast & marmalade is a bit narrow 3 days running. Some croissants or a boiled egg to mix things up would be nice. Also, tea & coffee are not ideal beverages for kids. Staff was very friendly, but you just get the overall impression that they're doing the minimum to service guests, while pinching pennies. Location was fantastic - 1 1/2 blocks from the tube, walking distance to Natural History Museum, lovely!

Quite and confortable and very nice staff in charge

London is expensive. This is a relatively cheap hotel. Good points: clean, quiet, hot water, reasonable beds. Bad points: breakfast is a piece of toast and tea, no TV, no radio, no sitting area. Best features: 5 minutes to the subway and nice bars/restaurants

Really poor breakfast offering / 5% charged in extra if you pay by card the remaining nights / lack of professionalism overall

Great value for the money. Staff was friendly and accommodating - allowing me to check in at 9:30am after a long overnight flight and holding my bag for a few extra hours the day of check out. Due to a room mix-up (my room wasn't ready yet) they upgraded me to a private bath room at no additional cost. Hotel is right around the corner from the Earl's Court tube stop on a quiet pretty side street. Felt very safe there travelling as a single woman and would definately stay there again.

I stayed a few nights in this charming B&B hotel which is convenient to the Earl's Court tube station and several good places to eat. I especially liked the helpfulness and warmth of proprietoress. It is an excellent value.

We stayed at the hotel for a week. Service and assistance from Lucy was exceptional, and we were particularly grateful for her flexibility in rearranging our accommodations at the last minute. The rooms are definitely on the small side, but if you are out and about sight seeing for 10 hours a day they are as big as you need them to be. Breakfast every day was a plus. The location of the hotel is perfect- only a couple of minutes walk from Earls Court tube station which will whisk you in to the heart of london in a few minutes. You can also walk to a number of top attractions such as the natural history museum and the Victoria and Albert. There are a couple of dozen places to eat right around the hotel to suit all pockets. Great Hotel. Highly recommended. Loved it.

If they had a cettle and tea/coffee in the room, if they had a tv/radio in the room if the room was more heated and the windows wouldnt have let the cold wind in if they had served me not the endings of the toast if they had brown toast and more jams to choose from if they would have served english breakfast then the rating could have been better.

Basic accommodation. But clean, quiet, friendly, great location and good value. I plan to stay there the next time I am in London.

Pretty good stuff given the very low price.

Really near the underground station, and near some facilities (restaurants, museums), but a lot of work to do to have a nicer place to stay. Breakfast was at the lower limit (toasted bread and marmelade, nothing more).

Stayed in a single, basic (no bathroom) - clean and simple. Never had to wait for the shared bathroom. My room was adjacent to the street and the noise from outside was significant: those wishing a quieter room should request a room at the back of the hotel. No window to open, so I wished I could adjust the temp a bit sometimes, but it wasn't too bad. Overall a good experience, though: I'd stay here again as it's a good value for the money, in a location close to public transport. Staff was very cheerful and friendly!

We were very pleased. The hotel is in Earl's Court,so not in the center of the city. This distance from the center is made up for by the relatively low price, and the good quality of the rooms and service.

Major construction two doors down- otherwise, it was fantastic!

There generally appeared to be a good rapport between staff and guests. I found staff extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Ideal if you just want a bed for the night and a simple breakfast.

Overall worth the money and excellent accommodation, very friendly person in charge, very clean; but lighting not so good at night, very high floor no lift and breakfast could have been better.

Needed a convenient, clean and no-frills place to stopover for the night, and was most satisfied with what I got in Merlyn. May not have had much space, but did get friendly accomodating staff, spotless showers and facilities, convenience of leaving my luggage after check-out time while I went shopping in London, and great conversation and tea (Thanks again!) with the lovely Lisa who runs the place. Good luck with the renovations!

Por poco dinero en Londres, un sitio céntrico, limpio y te tratan como en casa. Muy agradable. Sencillo y perfecto para no gastar mucho dinero y pasar un par de días.

Helpful staff was able to contatct and arrange taxi service from hotel to airport in middle of night. Good location, near underground station. If not, in walking distance to Victoria and Albert Museum, about 1-2 miles from hotel. I felt safe around this hotel.

If you are looking for a budget hotel in a fantastic area, close to tube, restaurants but off the busy main road then look no further. However, this is London and for the price you pay you are getting excellent value but not the Ritz!. Breakfast is just cereal and toast but you are two minutes from a supermarket and restaurants so you won't starve!. We were meant to stay in a twin room but on arrival had been put into a large triple room for no extra cost so we were pretty happy. The ensuite is small but for the price you are paying for a fantastic location in London then one can have little to complain about!. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags after check out for the day as we had a late flight. The place was cleaned very thoroughly every day. Will definitely be back and highly recommend it for the budget traveller.
