b&b - exterior
Our B&B is located about 8 km from the town of La Spezia.
We are in the countryside, among the Ligurian olive trees, but we are easily reached both by car (it is about 1 km far from the gate La Spezia, of highways A12/A15) and by train (the Vezzano train station is about 1 km far, it's on the tracks Pisa-La Spezia and Parma-La Spezia.
It is a quiet accomodation. We are close to all the main touristic attractions of the area.
The building has 3 floors, two for guesting.
The part of the house dedicated to B&B has 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms.
The third floor is a semi-indipendent flat.
As the house has two entrances, guests have a private entrance.

This was not up to standard for tourist accommodation. Access was difficult and unattractive. Rooms were dreary and there was a pervasive, unpleasant odour. Wardobes contained clothing, presumably belonging to the owner. Service was hospitable, but did not make up for the physical shortcomings. Anyone wanting to access the Cinque Terre would be better advised to look for accommodation in or near Levanto.

Good for the price. Very friendly, communication was Italian only on our arrival so difficult to find. Small hot water tank so if more than two guests the shower might be cold.

Rooms were clean, good breakfast. Car required, location is hard to find, make sure you have a navigation sysetm or good map :-) However, good location as basis for daytrip to La Spezia, Cinque Terre etc. We would go there again!

Quiet location, and great communal space if travelling with a family (we had six), but the only issue is the kitchen area was quite dirty and when we asked for detergent and a tea towel we got detergent that looked like it had been in the backyard for 6 months, and a dirty tea towel.

We thought that the accomodation was of a good standard. The lounge dining room was spacious with plenty of room for dining, cooking and watching tv/sitting around.Roberto's help in getting to Chinque Terre was excellent. However the state of the grounds around hotel was untidy and could put clients off.

We wanted to just 'chill out' for a few days and our stay at da Fiorina was a very pleasant experience - Roberto and his Mother make charming hosts, he was very helpful with his recommendations of what to see and do and how to get there. Very convenient to the local railway station for access to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. [Very light sleepers may hear the occasional freight train at night, but it didn't bother us] Excellent clean accommodation, nice large rooms and clean shared bathroom with shower. We found getting to the location the first time a bit of a challenge! Once settled in, we enjoyed using Da Fiorina as a base for 6 nights whilst we looked around and it was fun to just relax. Good filling breakfasts - perhaps the hosts should consider varying the selection somewhat for people who stay multiple nights. But overall highly recommended and excellent value.

We were there for one day. House owners are VERY friendly, sympathic and ready to help whereever they can. VERY romantic garden. Calm and sight are marvellous. Inside is simple but functional. The furnitures of the 6 bed appart we had were, alas, quite used. I would go back there for inexpensive and calm holidays and to discover the region.

Room was clean and spacious, not always quiet as the railway is nearby (luckily trains are not very frequent and don't run too late at night). Location is about 10 min drive to La Spezia from where the train to Cinqueterre can be taken. The owners are very friendly and ready to help with information, tips and maps of the area, they make you feel welcome and at ease in a relaxed atmosphere were you can meet other travellers and get a taste of italian lifestyle. Breakfast is good and abundant, with coffee or tea, orange juice, bread, butter and marmelade, delicious focacce and good company! We felt really on holidays and treated as family guests because everything was arranged for us in the best possible way. P.S. I realized only after reading the comments that the bathroom is a shared facility, I would suggest to Venere to make it clearer on the web.

Outstanding customer service! Roberto and his mother exceeded all expectations. While his mother speaks Italiano only, he has a good command of English as is a great source of information regarding local dining, transportation and areas of interest. They are very gracious hosts. They are very concerned about their guests' comfort.

We have stay here just 1 day during our 8-days trip around Italy, but this day was the best one. If you would like to feel the real Italian country life, you should stay here! There is a lonely private farmer house, with romantic quiet environment (fruit and olive gardens). Stylish furniture, modern kitchen with all necessary stuff for cooking, perfect bathroom. Very hospitable owners provide you typical Italian breakfast. Ask them to show you the small restaurant near apartment incredibly tasty pizza and house wine in! Just several minutes by car from La Spezia, Cinque Terre National Park and Sea. The railway station also close to house. The way to apartment is easy to find by asking villagers or just making a call to owners. We are definitely will stay here again in summer!

We ended up having a self-contained floor which was so handy for preparing our own meals. Roberto and his mother were very helpful - Roberto even drove us to the station / bus stop as we were a fair distance from La Spezia and Cinque Terre. (The train home on Sunday evening was cancelled and so had to find a bus to take us back). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Total abgelegenes Haus, für jemanden auf der Durchreise OK. Der Anspruch darf jedoch nicht allzu hoch sein. Deutsch wird nicht verstanden - nur englisch.

Roberto and his mother welcomed us warmly, Roberto with his very good English and his mother with her Italian and broad smile. The next morning we were to take the train to Cinque Terre and Roberto volunteered to drive us to the train station. A delay caused by other guests made us late for the train, so Roberto drove us all the way to the first of the Cinque Terre towns, stopping once for the view back towards La Spezia as a bonus! He was a gracious host, very helpful in every way.

If you have a car, this is a nice quiet place to stay. But it is difficult to find because the directions as translated by Venere are confusing. The "plaza" is really just an intersection. A small one at that. The "river" is a very small creek. Once you get that it shouldn't be hard to find. We drove from this place in La Spezia to the train to the Cinque Terre and explored the Cinque Terre in one late afternoon. The house was quiet and spacious. The view out the bedroom window was lovely. We did not find a restaurant to eat at in the area, but we were late coming back. Everything was closed.

Our hosts were welcoming, cheerful and generous with their time. We were impressed with the transport service between public transport and the house, and local advise given which made our stay more rewarding.

We loved that place!! Very polyte people...Very happy, attencious, honest... The problem was the distance between the Vezzano Train Station and La Fiorina. In the site indicate 800 mts, but I believe that is much more!!

The directions indicate a turn near a Fina gas station. it is now a Total and has been for about one year. This should be corrected. The room was very spacious and the staff very friendly.
HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
BY CAR
By highway, by A12 (coming from Genova or Pisa/Livorno) or by A15 (from Parma).
You have to exit to La Spezia, after you pay the toll follow the signs to La Spezia then you find yourself crossing a large bridge over a river. Just crossed the river you can see the sign to Vezzano Ligure, follow them and you go down to the road.
If you have a cell-phone, now you can call me, i'll come there. If you want to proceed by yourself, turn to the right, pass below a railway bridge, go ahead for 1 km, you'll find a Total fuel station on your right, 200 m afterward turn on the right Go ahead till you can see a tunnel, don't pass through it but turn to the right, ahead 200 m then you find another tunnel, cross it! then turn to the right again, keep you parallel to the rail track, now you find you in a small square, now follow the road parallel to the river for 400 m, the last house, a white one is mine.
BY TRAIN
The Vezzano Ligure train station is 800 m from my B&B.
