THe only thing that could be improved is their breakfast (no fresh toast, natural juice, fried eggs or bacon), shame. The rest was great. Thanks.

What a beautiful location and wonderful property. The character and charm of I Parigi is such a welcome change from the the hustle and crowds of Florence. The rooms are large and clean. The property owners provide wonderful pizza and pasta dishes for those wanting a quiet dinner away from the crowds, in the rolling hills of Tuscany. We highly recommend this property and will be staying here when we return.

very nice place to stay; breakfast is great; the italian restaurant nearby is very good; the only drawback is the difficulty to shop for food etc : you have to walk along a very busy road into town without room for pedestrians; access into Florence by bus is easy and fast.

I have never been in such a magical place in my life. Words cannot do justic to the experience that the B&B offers to the customers who are forunate enough to venture the property. The place holds a place in my heart, forever....

The hotel is very nice, the staff friendly on the rare occassion of seeing any. The room was clean, we had the 'tower room' which was unusual and we loved it. The breakfast, which was limited as is most continential breakfasts, was served outside but covered which was very quaint. The views were fabulous as you could see over Florence. The distance from Florence to the hotel was approximately 10 minutes in the car and with out Satelite Navigation made the journey easy to do, we found some lovelly restaurants in Florence. We would definately stay there again, it is in a very romantic setting. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and quality for money. Directions were ok, but I doubt we would have found it so easily if it were not for the sat nav. 10 out of 10 for comfort and design. Basically a very nice B&B which we would highly recommend to others, but not families especially with small children.

Rooms overall were decent, but we had a bit of a mold problem in the bathroom that was due to heavy spring rains. Staff was very, very helpful. Only other issue was lack of restaurants around the resort - don't bother with the one at the bottom of the large hill - it's a stop on the tourist bus routes. The views were beautiful and good for a romantic getaway.

As with most things in & around Florence, 'I Parigi' was slightly overpriced and a little full of itself. Hospitable is not a word I would use in association with this hotel; it's as if you are imposing on the folks there. If you're looking for a nice view, 'I Parigi' is incomparable--it is undeniably a beautiful castle atop a hill in Tuscany surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The sights and sounds, wonderfaul as they were, just didn't outweigh the overwhelming feeling that we were not welcome.

We spent 5 nights and loved it. Gorgeous setting, great breakfast, beautiful room, and an excellent value. Our bathroom even had a towel warmer! Marco, our host, spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. The Parigi is located at the top of a hill. We had a car so the long climb from the main road was not a problem, and if you're reasonably fit the walk up is nice anyway. You do not want to be dragging luggage up however. We would definitely stay there again if we went back.

Hike was steep, but doable. We took a taxi back after one long day of sightseeing. Guido was very helpful and the setting is beautiful.

Would prefer staff member available at breakfast area for help and to act as host/hostess for guests. I would also have liked more hot items and a few different breadkfast items each day so the menu isn't always the same each day.

I Parigi is in a beautiful location and all the taxi drivers knew where it was. It is on the top of a hill and the climb would be very daunting. We walked down the hill and took the bus which stops at the bottom on the driveway. The climb after a full day would defeat most people. If you have a car, there would be no problem. They also have a shuttle that they used one day during a mini bus strike to take us into Florence. We found a taxi stand outside the Boboli Gardens and it was a 10 euro taxi ride back to I Parigi. It is a beautiful old villa and the two brothers who own it are great hosts. We had a very good breakfast each morning. Our room faced the courtyard and we found it quite noisy when people would come in later at night and close the iron gate. We are light sleepers so this would waken us. The beds were very good and the rooms very clean. They have beautiful grounds and a big swimming pool. The weather was in the 80's in early October,so we wish we had taken our bathing suits. We did sit out by the pool and took in the beautiful view. I would recommend I Parigi to other travellers.

My wife and I stayed at I Parigi in late September; without a doubt it was our best hotel experience. The views of the tuscany landscape were breathtaking. The facilities are great. Guido and Marco, members of the family who own the B and B, could not have been more helpful. The room that we had was one of the upper rooms with a large terrace; the views were best of the facility. We had to climb several flights of stairs but the fabulous views made it worth every step. The B and B is outside of Florence but the peaceful and serene setting was just what my wife and I needed. Bus transportation to and from Florence is convenient; it helps to give the bus driver your stop orally or in writing (see directions on website). The climb up the hill is steep but not difficult( we are in our fifties). We definitely hope to stay again!!

It was a pleasure to stay at I Parigi. Our room was the largest that we had the opportunity to stay in in Italy. The grounds were beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer and just stayed there. The breakfast was very good. Beware, the eggs are raw and you must cook them. The couple beside us didn't know that and he cracked the egg thinking it was hard boiled. We all laughed!! We ate outside and the view was fantastic. The bus ride into Florence was ok. Every time we rode we were certain we were going the wrong way, but we made it back safely every time.!! You can get the bus tickets at I Parigi, but you will have to pay for them at the end of your stay. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Beautiful and very tranquil surroundings. I Parigi is a unique bed and breakfast situated high on top of a hill. If you are taking the bus to this location and plan on walking to the place with all of your luggage - it's a mile long, very steep hike. We were fortunate to be picked up by a family staying at I Parigi who had the sense enough to be driving a car! One more thing, we were swarmed by bees at breakfast each morning. My husband asked if he could move our food inside to eat and was told "no." This was the only negative. Everything else was very nice. Joe and Kelly Cleveland, Ohio

This was a magical place. From the outstanding service by the family to the quiet setting in the Tuscan countryside,it was heaven. Staying at I Parigi was the highlight of our three week trip to Italy. It was the perfect counter balance to the frentic pace and heat of Florence. Watching the sun set from the pool was so relaxing and drinking the home made housewine was a culinary treat. The only thing that would have made our stay better is if we had a car. We could have explored the countryside and spent more time in the treasures of Florence. The taxis were expensive and the bus was not always reliable. The uphill climb to the property was steep.

What a gem!In order to really enjoy 'I Parigi' my wife and I 'did' Florence until lunchtimes and then, hot and sticky (July), caught the convenient bus back to this wonderful spot above the valley and soaked in the views, soaked in the pool, and had a siesta. The only slight drawback - the hike up the steep lane from the main road but but you can always 'taxi-it' after an evening meal. The proprietor was great.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The surroundings were beautiful, yet not very far from Florence. The family who runs the place were very kind, spoke good English and were able to give precise directions to food, etc. We will stay here again and would recommend to everyone.

WOW!! We are still waiting for the catch. We felt like royalty had invited us to stay in their home, for practically nothing! We can't say enough. It was even easy to find coming in on the Auto strada. One caveat -- if you're not in good walking shape, the hike up and down the hill to the bus stop might be rough. In the high season, they have a shuttle, but we had to take the bus (15-20 min. ride into town.) Marco even had bus tickets for sale! Breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Everything was the best we had in Italy. Wow!! We would return to Florence JUST to stay at I Parigi again.

The place was set amid beautiful Tuscan hills about a 13 Euro taxi ride out of Florence (regular buses are also available). The facilities are beautiful and full of old charm. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. The welcome provided is genuinely warm without being in any way intrusive and the owners went over and above their duty to make us comfortable (e.g. vegan breakfasts etc). I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will certainly aim to visit again, hopefully in the summer when the outdoor pool (with what must be the best pool view in Europe) is open.

Absolutely wonderful. Very nice large room Well kept modernized old villa. Peaceful surroundings. Great staff, great breakfasts. Probably better if you have a car, as it's at the top of a long hill; or at least you shouldn't mind a long uphill walk(10-15 min) from the bus stop at the end of the day

it's a very beautiful place. It's a sort of old little castle on the hills surrounding Florence. You can take the bus at Bottai bus stop station, where you can find a car parking that is gratis. The bus takes 20 minutes to reach S. Maria Novella's station.

What a gem. The photos of this place really don't do it justice. Its a beautiful old house, but the rooms are all modern and recently updated. It had a/c, satellite & a huge room. You could see for miles from this place. It has all the charm of a B&B but all of the conveniences of a 4 star hotel. The restaurant recommendations that the family gave were the best restaurants we ate at in Italy. The only draw back (if you could call it that)to this fantastic B&B is that you have to have a car to get to it.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the A1 motorway, take the Firenze-Certosa exit. Follow the roundabout and proceed to the city centre. After approximately 1.5 km/0.9 miles, on the right, you will see the signs for I Parigi-Residenza d'Epoca Bed & Breakfast. Turn right on the small road leading uphill and continue until you reach street number 12 and the property entrance, easily recognizable by a cypress and linden tree-lined alley.

By train
From Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station take bus number 37 and get off at the Certosa 1 stop. From there, you can easily reach the property on foot in just 10 minutes.

By airplane
From Florence A. Vespucci airport take the shuttle bus to Santa Maria Novella railway station and then follow the above indications.
