The staff was really friendly and gave us very helpful advice. The breakfast though was disappointing and our room had no view and no sunshine coming in. The shower didnt work properly at night (water temperature went up and down continually) Overall even though we really liked the people working there and the location was excellent we wouldn't go again, mainly because of the very average breakfast.

Antica Dimora is a wonderful B & B! The rooms are great, we had the "Green Room" and it is a very spacious roomy. Without backroundnoise, sometimes you hear people talking or a car, who is parking in the courtyard, drives away. The green room is also perfekt for a family, because there are two rooms. The breakfast is fine, you can choose between italian and american coffee and you get some croissant, bread roll, marmalade, honey, butter and so on. I would return to this place - I like it so much!!

It was an amazing room that we stayed in, the area of the b&b is full of restaurants and young people at night. It was a perfect choice.

But would definately return. andi

me and my boyfriend loved the place so much! We decided if we ever came back to Florence we would stay there again. The only problem that we had was a misshap with someone outside the front door of the place, but it is securely locked and we felt safe inside. The best part is the space of the rooms and how friendly everyone is, even though the english is not the best, they do try very hard. We would both highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved the Residenza Santo Spirito! We stayed in room #2, with a balconey overlooking the piazza. 20' barrel vaulted ceiling with frescoes. You can walk just aboput anywhere from this location. The breakfast was more the sufficient. We will come back again!!

The room was spectacular. Room was large, beautiful, immaculately clean - very impressive. Balcony overlooked an active square (which meant some late noise, especially Friday and Saturday evenings, but made for wonderful sitting area at other times). Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Many good restaurants close by. The best place we stayed in a 3-week Italy vacation.

This is the third time I´ve stayed here...I love the Oltrarno area and the Piazza Sto. Spirito, and this little B&B in a Renaissance palazzo is wonderful. Rooms are huge, restful and beautiful (some have ceiling frescoes), and the staff friendly and very accomodating. This time we were able to check in at 9 am. Breafast brought to the room is great. The area is not touristy but retains the atmosphere of a typical Florentine neighborhood, with the daily moring market and extraordinary restaurants, bars, antiques shopping, churches and the Palazzo Pitti. A unique and amazing place to stay!

We would recommend the Residenza Santo Spirito most strongly. The room was beautiful and huge, the location perfect, the welcome friendly, and the breakfast ample (something which is not always the case in Italy). Far better than staying in a standard hotel room!!

The Residenza Santo Spirito has just a handful of rooms, and does not offer the many services of a large hotel. It does, however, offer a wonderful place to stay and a perfect base for experiencing Firenze in the heart of the Altrarno. We stayed in the room no 2 - a large, high and very comfortable room with a painted ceiling and a balcony on the first floor looking over the piazza Santo Spirito. The bathroom must have been improved and enlarged in the last few years. Breakfast is served in the room since there is no common area. That allows you to start the day with the air and the sounds of the piazza coming in through the open window. There is of course some noise from outside during the night, but that is part of the nature of the place. We closed the window and the shutters and found that little came in afterwards. The only real drawback is that like most hotels there is a television set - it is not large and we did not use it, but it would be much pleasanter to find a room without.
