Correct bed and breakfast. Not very well situated ; about 25-30 minutes of walking from the historical center. Parking not included in the overall price. Breakfast was not great but the room was nice and clean, even if the bed was a false twin (made of two singles put side by side).

We stayed at Casa Toselli in April 2008. The hotel is very spacious, clean and very well priced. While booking I was skeptical, thinking it maybe a cheap hostel type place, but was pleasantly surprised with quality of the rooms and facilities. Its feels more like a B&B and staff (manager and his son) are very helpful and friendly. If you have car they have free parking as well. Only thing make sure to get proper directions if you are going to take a bus from SNM station (check Trip Advisor one of reviewers provided some good directions). Don't expect a fancy breakfast, its limited, but you can't expect more for the rates. The location is quite convenient, about 10 mins by bus to main Florence sights.

My wife and I had a great time at Casa Toselli. We had some difficulty finding it the first day, but that's because the street name coming from the train station changes and is different once you get closer to the hotel. So, be sure to grab a map at the tourist information center across from the train station. Our room was very clean, and we even had our own room even though we booked one with a shared bathroom. Our room had a safe, and we had free Wi-Fi access. The morning breakfast was nice (coffee, croissants with nutella/apricot spread, and blood orange juice), and the location was very easy access to the heart of Florence and all major sites on the #17 bus, which runs every 10 minutes! There weren't many restaurants near the hotel, but we spent most of our time in the center of town. The manager at the hotel, Gabrielli, was so helpful to us when we had to deal with a lost credit card and use his phone almost every day we were at the hotel. This bed and breakfast was very nice, and we would absolutely stay here again next time we visit Florence.

One comment on the distance to this hotel from Santa Maria Novella rail station in Florence. It was a 25-minute walk for us (pulling wheeled luggage), although the route from the station to the hotel is straight without any turns or confusion. Another option is to take Bus 5 from the station to a spot near the hotel, but of course, you would have to recognize the bus stop on which to disembark from the bus . . . not easy if you have never been to the hotel before. Disembark at Bank Etruria (the hotel is behind it). . . there is a bus stop there. Breakfast was excellent; room was fine; be aware there is no elevator in this 3-story hotel; nice outdoor tables for breakfast under a canopy.

Room was large and very clean. No TV in the room, TV was available in the hall as you enter the building. The shutters of our room were broken, pigeons made a nest between the shutters and the glass window (not too nice unless you love birds...)

Hi the Casa was hard to find , the small street or alley with a tiny sign showing the way , that you are wondering if you will find the Casa or you are trespassing ! Look for the Bank first !! Beside this inconveniant once you gets there it's ok, easy access by bus to the downtown, the room was clean and quiet with a small view on the garden, they have a private parking for car but it's extra, so if you have a car better to have it because the driving in downtown it's nuts and no way to find a parking spot. The employee was very nice and helpfull, explaining how to get bus ticket , or the way. Conclusion : little expensive to my taste but best deal in Firenze. Will go again.

Don't walk. Just take a taxi. It is worth it for this quaint and confortable place. However, I could have never found it with the map. It is not near the train station in my opinion. If you stay here try the Osteria de Golosi - best meal of our two week trip.

Before I even came to stay here, I was in contact with the staff regarding my room. They replied to my emails quickly and easy to understand. Don’t come to Florence without a map---it is invaluable. To get to Casa Toselli, walk out of the train station and a block away, you will get to Via della Scala, take this street north west. At a major triangular crossing between several streets, V. della scala becomes via della Porte Nuove which then becomes Via Pietro Toselli. Stay on this street, and after several blocks, you will see an autobank sign on the left. The driveway for Casa Toselli is just before the autobank. The driveway leads up to the small but very nice courtyard and private parking lot for guests. The staff was very helpful and when we walked up, they knew exactly who we were. We had a bedroom on the 2nd floor with a private water closet with a small but very reasonable shower. Clean towels were supplied daily and a hair dryer was available upon request. The room came with American to European converters. The shared water closet was outside our room and we never noticed a line to use it in the morning. The room was simple and cleaned daily. It was very quiet which made coming home to in the late evening pleasurable to a greeting Stefano. The staff was very pleasant and this was the best part of my stay in Florence.

Casa Toselli is one very nice hotel. We had GPS with us so we didn't have problem to find the place. Hotel has 5 or 6 private parking places in the garden. The place is in residential neighborhood, safe and clean. It is a couple miles from Duomo and historic center. We didn't try walking because we took the bus #17 which will take you to the Duomo in 15 min. Purchase tickets from the host at the lobby it is cheaper then everywhere. Our room was clean, comfortable and pretty spacious keeping in mind Italian standards. Breakfast was spartan. Wine, cola, bear is available in the fridge any time. There is no TV in the room for those who cares, I don't. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They are very nice people. I would come again definitely.

Casa Toselli is definitely a quality B & B. The location is just a 10 minute bus ride from the centre of Florence. This allowed us to expericance the local life style and to see all of the sights. We had a great time having a quiet drink in the local cafe after a hard days touristing. The rooms are great; clean, large and pretty quiet. If you are driving, this is the place as they have ample secure parking. Breakfast is very simple (its Europe!) but enough to set you up till lunch. We can definitely recommend Casa Toselli.

We spent beautiful 6 days at the end of October there. As for price/quality ratio, Casa Toselli could be highly recommended. In comparison to the previous remarks the public transport obviously improved - the #17 bus brings you directly to Duomo in short intervals. The cocks are still there (3 of them), the breakfast rather thin, I would add a slight warning to elderly people as the stairs (namely to the 2nd floor!) are rather steep. People are very friendly and the atmosphere quiet and nice - we would enjoy to come again!

B&B is situated to 15 min fron Duomo. It's va very quite place even though is shear a crowdly street. It's has a nice interior garden where you can park the car (very importan fact if you arrive Florence by car). Casa Toselli prsonal is very kind and always and redy to help you. You can find a bus-stop in the door of de B&B. A vey recommedable place to visit Florence.

Casa Toselli is very nice. Host Stefano is really kind and competent. Me and my wife spent two lovely days and we felt at home. It's close to downtown, but bus number 17 takes you in ten minutes from Casa Toselli to the Duomo. It was a good recommendation from Stefano. Arrivederci !

Desk clerk spoke great english. If you go to Lucca (highly rocommended to rent a bike there) - take the bus. The train is local and took forever - with a 2 hr stop in Pistolia.

We stayed a total of 4 days i Florence. We are a family with 2 girls at 12 & 16 years. I could recommend Casa Toseli to others despite the 20 min walking distance from town centre. I would advice the Casa Toseli to provide some copies of maps which indicate the bus stops & bus numbers. Also they could by some bus tickets for sale to their guests in order not to rely onto the opening hrs. of the tobacco shops. In general the information given about public transport is too bad in Italy. For Nordic people, octobre is the best month for holiday in Firence/

About 20 minutes walking distance from the main attraction sites or 2 minutes away from the bus which brings you there. The host was friendly and good suggestions. Breakfast was minimal. Room was clean, had a fan but no air conditioning. Like Rome, Florence is expensive, thus the price for the room is relatively expensive but less then other B&B's in the region. Free parking was a plus.

It was a very nice hotel and we was kindly welcomed by Stefani. Fatima was also very kind to us and served us a good breakfast in the morning. The hotel was clean and quiet and very near to the city centre of Florence but if you didn't want to walk there was a bus stop just outside the hotel. It took only 5 minutes to go to the centre of Florence, what a magnificient city. If you go by car they also have their own parking place for your car. We could really recommend this hotel.

I would receomend this B&B to everyone who should have a say in Firenze. it's only 15/20 min. walking from the station (and the historic area), and it's very quiet. it also have a closed parking if you come with your car. The person who welcomed us was very friendly. You can take your breakfeast wether in your bedroom, or outside in the garden, at the time you want (but you shall advise the day before about the time you intend to take it). The hotel is in an old style house, with pretty old style furniture and windows. Finally, it is very nice, rather cheap and rather well located. If you are lucky, you'll can see some animals such as rabbits, chikens, etc, playing outside. We really really enjoyed our journey there, and we would for sur go back to the casa toselli if we go again to firenze.

Casa Toselli offers free parking, breakfast in bed, and a quiet respite from crowded Florence. If you are driving into Florence, consider staying here, as there is a bus directly into the city center, either to the bus station or to the Duomo. The hotel itself is very clean, very safe (with locking gates at night) and the staff is quite kind. Ask for a fan (if available) as the rooms can be quite hot during summer.

Francesco and his mom were very friendly and helpful. Residential area, safe & quiet neighborhood, but the rooster will wake you up!. You can take bus 17 from Santa Maria Novella (opposite direction to the Domo) & it stops right in front of the building (alley leads to gates). You can also walk for a good 20 minutes (without luggage). Fans provided for higher level floors (no AC). Bathrooms were clean & OK, shower doors may be too small for some guests. Breakfast was served in the room; it was plain, nothing extra. Room decoration with ancient wood furniture. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste, but sheets super clean. Grocery store (Dico Discount) & good pizzeria neerby (ask staff to tell you where). Good price/quality.

A great place for the price; there are nicer places in Florence, but they are twice as much, or more. Casa Toselli is about a 10 minute/15 minute walk to the main train station and from there, Florence is within your grasp. The hosts were nice, but the head lady did make a big fuss over us asking for breakfast as 7:30; since most of the things in Florence open around 8, I didn't think this was an atypical request. Also, the shower is small, but bearable. The rooms were nice and spacious with large windows. Francesco was very helpful too; he helped us find the right bus to get where we wanted to go as well as some good restaurants around the B&B. Breakfast was nice; coffee, croissant, bread, jam, etc.

This B&B was well out of the main area. We never did figure out how to take the bus and it was about a 30 min walk to the Train Station. The customer service was excellent although they did not speak english so communication was difficult. The people in the room across from us were extremely loud and with it being such an old building it kept us up till late hours. Room was great, European style, shared bathroom was clean and very close to our room.

He prepared very detailed directions on taking bus to and from downtown from his hotel. After we checked out, the owner was very kind to keep our car in the hotel parking lot for a whole day so we could tour around during the day with worry free. Casa Toselli was a really good place for us to stay as we came to Florence by car. We were given our own parking space and 24 hour access to the hotel. It was just a short bus ride to town, and there were a couple of restaurants, and cafes nearby. Our room was very big, with great antique furniture. The room was very clean and breakfast was great, nice coffee and fresh bread. We "shared" a bathroom, but noone else even used it while we were there. We had the whole hall to ourselves so it was very quiet. It is also quiet in general because it is back away from the street, and the courtyard blocks the noise from the traffic. This is a good deal for a nice place...Ideal for people who decide to drive to Rome. I would definately stay there again!

Casa Toselli is an excellent hotel for a 1 to 3 days stay. We spend a whole week there, which was too much. The nice breakfast, served in the room, is always the same and not very divers. People are more than friendly and willing to help, inspite of the fact that the servant, who is in daily charge, only speaks Italian. I doubt there are better opportunities to be that close to Firenze, not paying too much and have a private parking. The distance to the town centre and the motorway is ideal for visisting both Firenze and the surrounding towns. If you spend a weekend over there, you will be delighted, after a whole week, you become a little bit bored like we were.

The hotel is very nice, however three floors with no lift becomes a nightmare when you have a couple of heavy suitcases. It is also 25 min (or more with luggage) walk from the station. It is also around 25 min to the centre of the old town on foot.Hotel has no TV or radio in rooms and TV room downstairs shuts at 10 pm. While breakfast is served in rooms, you have to give a precise time the night before of when you intend to have your breakfast. If you decide to change your mind about b/fast - there's no way of doing so as at night hotel is not manned. Rooms and building are nice, but the location and surroundings make this hotel very disadvantageous. I also didn't like the owner and her attitude and lack of customer respect. I wouldn't stay there again - too far from everything.

We did not care for Florence, but this B&B was great. It's quiet and nicely furnished, and the patio/yard was a wonderful place to eat dinner and share wine after a grueling day of dealing with fellow tourists. The owner of the place is a wonderful man. He helped me with a problem regarding a camera I left in Assisi. Oh, and breakfast in our room was divine. Good coffee and criossant, and we didn't even have to get out of our pajamas. Location is ok- busses can be sporadic, but it's right on the #17 that goes to the heart of old venice.

Casa Toselli is not surrounded by greenery as stated on the web presentation. There is some vegetation in the front, but the photo is misleading, the house is located in a fairly busy neibourghood. It is also not very quiet, one can hear the cars late in the evening and we were woke up by a cock singing early in the morning. One major nuissance: mosquitoes. The windows did not have protective screens and we realized this to late, in the morning. The flying insects were feeding on us all night. The breakfast was very good and the empolyees were friendly and helpful with everything. Not a bad stay for the price, but they have to do something about the mosquitoes and be honest about the location and surroundings.

This is a great place, especially if you need parking in the city. It's a bit out of the way, but if you don't mind a walk, it's worth it to have parking. Everything was very pleasant. The property is close to the #17 bus line which is a direct connection to the train station and to the center of town - Duomo, etc. We did have some problems with mosquitos in the room. There is no air conditioning and if the windows are opened at night, some very hungry mosquitos come in and attack.

The hotel is a well maintained 100yr-old converted family mansion well away from the main road. The Reception Manager/Caretaker was very pleasant and helpful in regard to local conditions, access, etc. It is actually a fair step into the City for over 45s. Knowledge and use of the public bus system is an advantage - weekend bus tickets need to be purchased in advance. The cab fare is about EU8.50 one way but they are difficult to catch on the street. A very enjoyable stay.

Very nice place to stay and suprisingly it was very quite when thinking that the street itself is heavily loaded (the house was in a backyard and several meters away from the street). Only drawback was that the breakfast was served in the room with only a small tables and and no chairs.

A great bed and breakfast. Could have used a little more variety with the breakfast (it included croissants and hard rolls with orange juice and coffee or tea). A great location just far enough away from town to be very quiet (except for the occassional rooster), and close to bus stops. Very friendly and helpful service. A great place to stay if you are going to Florence.

Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is very good and served directly in the room ! Personnel is very nice, and the house is very clean. As it is not directly located near the street, then it is quiet. I do recommend this address, especially if you go to Florence by car: there is a safe private car park. It is 15mn walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station. Then add 5-10mn to go to the center. There is a bus station nearby, but we didn't use it (we walked all the time...).

Very private and safe, feels like a castle, within walking distance from center. Breakfast served in the room! Only downside- no telephone in rooms.

The place is a little difficult to find. The person who welcome us was very kind and helpful. We appreciated to have a place safe to park the car et we loved to have breakfast in the room!

Very good place to visit Firenze. 15 minutes by foot from the historical center. Quiet district and service of very good quality.

no public areas so no comment. A phone in the room, or public phone would be convenient A choice of breakfast for longer stays would be nice, but quality was excellent

The hotel was an old and marvellous Villa not far away from the city center (20 minutes by feet). A bus stop is 30 metres away. The hotel service was absolutely excellent and friendly! We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms, we had the impression, the room and baths were cleaned several times a day!! The Casa Toselli is a hotel with family atmosphere. We can highly recommend a stay at this wonderful hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Nice hotel, but a good 20-30 min. walk from town centre with poor bus connection. Rooms were clean, staff were very friendly but in this old house with shared bath you live in close accoustic contact with your neighbours. Beds were too soft.
